I saw "Mario's Pizza" and assumed it was part of the Mario's chain of pizzerias, boy was I wrong. But it's definitely on the same level. Parking was a breeze. The lot was huge. Looking at the building I admired the modernness. Inside, what you first notice is how clean it is. I mean it's perfect. In my mind, that means the food is good if they care about important things like cleanliness. There was plenty of seating, with booths and bar seating throughout. They definitely can handle volume. After admiring the building I made my way to the counter to order. They had a lot of specialty slices to choose from. I always go for the normal. This time would be different. There were plenty of people working in the back, but two guys in particular helped me. They recommended the chili slice with pineapple. I thought, what! I don't know why people like pineapple on pizza, but I let them talk me into it, needless to say, I'm glad they did! Everything on the slice worked. The little sweetness from the pineapple complimented the chili. I couldn't believe how delicious it was. I had to stand up and clap.....well, not really, but you get the point. I became a patron at that point. I definitely will be going back. If the rest of the slices are as good as that one...I may need bigger pants.

I've been to Mario's many times over the years, as it's located near my family's house. According to my cousins, Mario's is the place to go for specialty slices. They had a bunch of options, including meat lovers, my favorite. If you're going for a plain slice, I don't think it's the best around. Mario's is a decent spot to dine in or take out. The inside of the restaurant is pretty nice for a casual pizza spot. They have other food options as well, but we just went for the pizza. Our slices were ready in a reasonable timeframe and the employees seemed to be efficient overall. No issues from me!

My go to spot for a personal margherita pizza. Always good, I get mine with regular crust. Look at the picture. It makes my mouth water every single time.

As far as pizza in Suffolk County goes, I was actually impressed by Mario's Pizzeria. I went with my family for a quick bite on a Sunday afternoon. We have our own pizza spot, but figured we try something new and more local to our home. The customer service was really good despite the multiple reviews that criticized the service. I ordered my food at the front and within 3-4 minutes, got my slice at my table. While they are known for their pizza, they offer other food items, such as salads, soups, and pasta. The slices are very large and affordable. They can make the slice a little more crispy if you specify. One slice will leave you satisfied. This place is good for vegetarians. Plenty of parking in the complex.

One of the best grilled chicken Caesar salad slices. Marios really does their specialty slices well.

*THE BEST SPECIALTY PIZZA SLICES IN SUFFOLK* OVERVIEW: Dave Portnoy, from Barstool One Bite Pizza Reviews, has become immensely famous, reviewing pizza restaurants all across America. When filming these YouTube videos, to keep things simple, Dave almost exclusively rates plain round cheese pies. But now, if I visit a pizzeria, I'm not always going to get a regular, or a Sicilian - mostly, I'm ordering specialty slices. And nowadays, it seems every pizza restaurant offers specialty slices. However, more often than not, they're usually mediocre at best. Marios, on the other hand, has some of the best specialty pizza slices I've ever eaten. Take a bite, and you can tell they are carefully crafting each pie, and using only the freshest ingredients. Now, have you ever bought a slice somewhere, and you could tell immediately that it had been sitting around for a really, really, long time. It's disgusting right? At Marios, there is no chance of this happening. Here, everything is so good, the slices fly out the door, all day long. And lastly, if you enjoy salad pizza, like I do, they have a few offerings here, that are going to blow your socks off. WHAT TO ORDER: - You can't go wrong with any of the slices served here. It really depends on your preference - The grandma, and the grandma vodka sauce slices are garlicky delights. -The grilled chicken Ceasar slice here, is the best version I have ever tasted. - The Milanese with arugula, tomatoes, chicken cutlet cubes and a light garlicky dressing is the best salad pizza slice I have ever eaten. Sometimes, I remove the chicken and eat it as a pure salad slice. Other times, I enjoy it all together. Both ways are absolutely delicious, and I always have to order at least one of these slices. - The Margherita with fresh mozzarella, marinara sauce, basil and olive oil is unique. - If your looking for something lighter and more healthy, try their Bodybuilder Bowl. It's served with whole wheat penne pasta, vegetables, and grilled chicken in a light garlicky sauce. DECORE/ SERVICE: The restaurant is nicely decorated, organized and very clean. There are about twelve tables up front for a quick bite, and then, a separate dining room area for full meals. The service is fast and friendly, and they always let you know they're happy to see you. Even more, your order is always correct, which is something that is becoming less common at food establishments today. PARTING THOUGHTS: What would Dave Portnoy rate Marios regular cheese pie? Who the helll knows, but I would rate most of their specialty slices in the high eights, and some like the Milanese in the nines. So why don't you come rate it yourself - I promise - it will be a good time.

Horrible. We had a birthday party and there was a family of vegans. We ordered a basic vegan cheese pie to accommodate them and it took over 2.5 hours to arrive. I was so embarrassed at my kids' birthday party. My husband was on hold for over an hour with a gentleman and when I used another phone to call, a female answered immediately so they were clearly playing phone games. And of course, "it will be on its way in 15 mins" was a lie after lie. When we finally got our damn pizza, they gave small a bag of free garlic knots, which I admit were pretty good. Fine, businesses have flukes and Mario's got a great reputation. We decided to give it a try... and it came at a decent time..(40mins) but the photos speak for itself. The Sicilian pizza is unappealing, tasted bland, and a soupy...the pasta-was ok but could use a bit more salt. The pinwheels and Stromboli were just embarrassing to look at and even worse to eat, it was short on ingredients and was dry/ clearly old -just reheated. The basic cheese pizza was good and the kids enjoyed that. I really tried with Mario's but with their disappointing food, horrible customer services and lies, I can no longer support this business.

I ordered the Marsala and couldn't find the Marsala anywhere. It tasted like a brown gravy sauce. Not good and will not try them again.

Both were excellent. I'm glad my cousin doesn't have my appetite because I sure finished more than my portion of that creamed spinach. It may have been the best I ever had. What a bummer !!!…read more Before writing this review, I made sure to come back several times, on Friday nights, to see if my experience was just a one-off. Unfortunately, things have definitely changed. The vibe that once made this place special just isn't there anymore. On a Friday night, the atmosphere feels flat, and even the lighting could use some work (Too Bright) it would benefit from being dimmed to create a more inviting and energetic setting. The staff doesn't seem as engaged as they once were, and sadly, the food isn't hitting the same either. The biggest disappointment, however, has been the music. The DJs don't seem to know how to read the crowd. When most of the room is sitting down and barely even bobbing their heads, it's probably time to switch things up and get some energy flowing. The one bright spot is Mike behind the bar. He's still on point, keeps the drinks coming, and provides the level of service that keeps customers happy. I truly enjoyed this place in the past, which makes it even more disappointing to see it heading in this direction. I'm hoping management takes notice and brings back the atmosphere that made people want to keep coming back.

Now, I knew nothing about Mezza Luna, never heard of it or looked for reviews first, so I had no idea what the night would bring! We called from the car to make sure they were still serving dinner, the owner answered and told us he would have a table ready when we arrived. My first thought... impressive and a very nice man! We found the restaurant, pull into the parking lot, it was so full we literally got the last spot! My second thought....it's going to be an expensive night, but I was looking forward so I was prepared, it was pay day! LOL! The owner greeted us as we walked in, Mezza Luna is a classy, romantic restaurant with a warm, comfortable feel to it! I already had the feeling anything we ordered would be extremely well prepared and delicious, I was right! Friday evenings there is live music! A guy playing an acoustic guitar was set up in a nice spot when we walked in, very talented and played some great classic rock songs! Our table was perfect, could easily seat four people! Right away, glasses of ice water were served with a basket of fresh semolina bread! Our waiter, Fred, came over shortly after. I have to say the service is superb! He was very courteous and attentive throughout the evening! I can't even count how many times someone came to our table to fill our glass with water! The menu is very nice, you will without a doubt find any of your favorite dishes to choose from. Decisions, decisions, decisions...It was tough but I went with the Filet of Sole Francaise. My daughter chose a pasta dish. Fred read off the specials, all great choices, but I still ordered my favorite dish! However, beef barley soup was part of the specials so I ordered that. It was over the top delicious and a nice size serving! They don't skimp on anything, lots of beef with tiny pasta and vegetables. Even though finely chopped so no big pieces, there was a big taste of everything in each spoonful. I finished it all! The presentation was also beautiful and served piping hot! As everything on the menu is ala carte, your dish comes as is, so we didn't order any pasta or appetizers. It was a little pricey but believe me, it won't matter to you! The portions are big enough and a complimentary bowl of fresh mixed vegetables are served with your dinner. The francaise sauce was perfection and my fish was succulent, very fresh! My daughter enjoyed her pasta dish tremendously! There is always room for dessert, even though I felt like I couldn't eat another bite, I couldn't pass up dessert. My favorite was one of the choices (of course it was) but so were 3 or 4 others. They offer two kinds of tartufo which was a first for me! I went with the tiramisu! It was one of the best I ever had! It was so over the top delicious I finished it all!! Last nights dinner was one of the best I have had in a long time, even better than the Country House, where we went for Easter! This was just different, a very elegant experience. I highly recommend Mezza Luna. Especially if you have a SO, you must dine here! I will absolutely be back soon, not one negative about the evening I can think of, it was really a perfect night!
