The only disappointment I have is that I don't live closer to this place. Absolutely delicious!!!! My family and I love coming here whenever we are in Northport. Stopped in early Saturday evening just for pizza and some appetizers. The meatball Sicilian was perfectly cooked. The crust wasn't too thick or too thin, it had a nice soft crunch to it. And I don't like having ends of Sicilian because it always seems so hard, this was perfect. I Notice that they just updated the place. Looks great. Staff is so nice. Saw the 3-star rating and I was a little concerned. But it was Yelp's Big Night In and I was in the mood for pizza. Now, I've made the pilgrimage to Di Fara's in Brooklyn so there's a pretty high standard. But Filleto's is much more convenient and they're open until 10. The brick oven was down, so they made it in the regular oven. The result didn't disappoint. The crust, crisp and chewy. The sauce, fresh and bright. The cheese, at that perfect point between solid and stretchy. They were a little stingy with the basil - a frequent criticism of mine. But otherwise it was the perfect pizza for the occasion. And I didn't have a two-hour trek to Brooklyn. Bravo and a big thank you to all the guys working the kitchen and counter. read more

Yesterday, July 15, arriving around 1:30 the new waitress, young with brown hair, besides not attentive, was so rude " you have to give me a minute, I only have two hands" in a very nasty tone! As we could not wait any longer for our check we asked the nice gentleman behind the counter for our check and to wrap our pizza to go which he did immediately. We frequent Filetos often and never have been treated this way. There are many other local restaurants without rude servers that give attentive service! Tonight since its take out only for my sons birthday I ordered salad, Sicilian pie with pepperoni & two orders of calamari with marinara sauce. The calamari was bland, tough & chewy it was like chewing on cardboard. The pizza was so greasy the bottom of box was soaked with oil making the crust a soggy mush. Big disappointment! I love this place! Their buffalo slice is great!!! I also REALLY appreciate them for what they did today. I ordered food for my friend for Valentine's Day on grubhub. All I did was instruct that they tell my friend it's from me because I wanted to surprise her for Valentine's Day. They ended up writing that into a sweet note and even drew hearts. The food has always been decent here. But decent isn't going to cut it in my book. I had two issues with this place. First, the online menu. Their prices are NOT up to date and as a result I was charged $6 more than I expected to pay. $6 isn't a huge deal, but when I mentioned it to the person who rang me up I got a shrug and an: "Oh yeah...the website is outdated." You don't say? That "Oh gee wiz" attitude makes me hesitant to return. THEN, they pulled a stunt I'd expect from McDonald's or Arby's. You know...the ol' "Oopsie. Got home and the wrong item's in your bag" deal. In short, it was a pasta/chicken pesto dish. Oopsie! No chicken. (cue up Price is Right fail horn) So, I called up to complain expecting at the very least an "Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry." Nope. First of all, it took 5 minutes to get someone on the phone who could find my order. Then 2 minutes of insistence from some brat who probably still has to bug her stepdad for gas money that there was no such item on the menu. Maybe she was right. There was so much air headedness going on there that maybe they drug the food and I hallucinated the menu? Oh well...as Richard Nixon said: "You won't have ME to kick around any more!" read more

This restaurant is very over priced you can do much better at other pizza places in the area. They offer coupons that never seem to be valid. They make offers on the menu that never seem to apply to what you order. Watch your bill they put surcharges on certain pasta shapes.The food and service are just average. read more

Food is fantastic, service is great. My only problem is the one owner I don't know his name, but it's not the Italian looking one. Every time I go in he is constantly screaming at the counter and wait staff, most of which are young girls. Always screaming and makes a very unwelcoming environment every time I am there, I've struggled many times to bite my tongue and let him run his business, but I'm no so sure supporting him is worth it at this point. I've driven by this place a few times and figured why not give them a try. I was very disappointed. The mozzarella sticks clearly came out of a frozen bag bought at restaurant depot or somewhere similar. The meatballs and sauce...eh, I could find better at a chain grocery store. The kicker...my salad came with canned, yes canned, fruit! It's the end of May! Who does that? Such a disappointment. My wife is vegetarian and loves the pasta primavera,veggie lasagna can substitute a vegetable of her choice for any meat in a pasta dish! The weekend specials offer something for everyone and themes like the October Fest menu are phenomenal! The apple butternut squash soup and fork tender sauerbraten were Fantastic.
