Some times it's a good error and other times it's not so good. So after 5,6 pizza to go Issues we order at the restaurant and verify our order and wait the wait is usually 20-25 mins the pizza is delicious. I now live in Los Angeles and recently, by the grace of God, a Bay Ridge based place called Pizza Wagon of Brooklyn opened another location in Sherman Oaks. It's so good, the other NY transplants nearby - Mulberry St. and Joe's - must be very, very worried. They aren't even in the same league as Pizza Wagon. But, I digress. Filetto's in East Northport, where my in-laws live, has - hands down - the BEST Grandma Pie I've ever eaten. It's better than anything in the city. It's a little thinner than most Grandma pies, so it's crispy and just perfect. Everything else I've tried there is also very good, but the Grandma is so good - I buy two, freeze them and bring them back to Los Angeles every time I visit. I ordered for delivery and one of the pies I ordered was the 12" fra diavolo. They sent it without any hot cherry peppers so instead of being spicy, as advertised, it is sweet. I called and informed them and got an attitude from the woman on the phone who tried to convince me that they were on the pie and told me that I could ask for extra next time. When I said that the peppers are not in the pie I was offered a credit for a free topping or they would bring another. When I asked for a replacement I was told, "We'll bring it when we get to it." When it arrived it did indeed have peppers, but it was clearly burnt as a way of getting revenge on me for asking Filetto's to remake the pie. My husband and I order take out all the time from here. There are lots of really good Italian places on Long Island but this is our neighborhood go to since we live down the block. They have a delicious marinara sauce and make a great meatball. When ordering take-out, we typically get meatball parm heroes with extra mozzarella or a pizza. Both are excellent. I've also catered in food for parties as well. Most recently we ordered a tray of penne a la vodka, meatballs, eggplant parm and Chicken piccata for Christmas Eve. I was at Filetto's Saturday night. The food is excellent. I had Mussels Fra Diavlo with salad and mozzarella sticks and tartufo for dessert. My son shared the salad and sticks with me and he had linguine with white clam sauce. Of course he loved the tartufo. There is nothing like the music on a Saturday night. They have everyone from a Frank Sinatra singer (fabulous) to the one we had Saturday who does Elvis, the Beatles, Freddy Mercury and a myriad of other singers. My fiance and I have been looking for new places to try in East Northport so we went to Filetto's last Wednesday. They were having a "parm night". I got the chicken parm but asked them to use vodka sauce. It was absolutely delicious!! I got it with a side of penne (with vodka sauce). The server was very nice and attentive. The meal was reasonably priced. We did pay a little more for the vodka sauce but it was worth it. My fiance got the Seafood Bisque for his appetizer. He said he was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Best he has ever had!! I loved the meal so much, I brought my parents there on Saturday. Only thing I want to call out is that the floors are very slippery. Just be careful when you are walking. I was treated like garbage and made to feel bad about my limited funds by an employee over the phone. So Filetto's has had wonderful food that I have enjoyed from them on numerous occasions. I usually order from them 3 times a month, and spend at least $35 per order. I am disabled and don't own a car so I always have my food delivered. I called them yesterday at 3:05 in the afternoon, well after the lunchtime rush and at least 2 hours before the dinner crowd. An employee answered the phone and I told him I needed a delivery order, he said ok and took down my name, address, and phone #. I told him I wanted a Grandma pie which they list on their menus and on their website as $20 and asked him how much it would come out to with tax as I only had $26 in cash to my name until next pay period. He then told me it would come out to be $25.75. I asked him if that total was correct as the pizza is only $20 and should be less ($21.75) than what he quoted me with the tax. I told him I felt bad and that I couldn't tip the driver more than a dollar if they were adding on an additional delivery fee. He told me to hold on and I thought that meant he was going to help me out by giving me a break on the delivery fee so I could add that money to the driver's tip. When he came back he told me that he no longer could deliver my food as they were suddenly busy at 3:05 in the afternoon, and he only had 1 driver and it would not be worth the effort for the driver to deliver my food if he was only getting a dollar from me. I said excuse me? I am a loyal customer and I must have spent at least $750 at their establishment over the last 12 months, and that all of a sudden they were refusing to deliver to me because the courtesy and completely optional tip is going to be one dollar. I was low on funds and they weren't reducing the delivery fee for me. I told him you had no problem delivering my food a moment ago before I told you I only had $26 to my name. He said yeah, I am refusing to send it to you because it isn't worth the drivers time and he already has a lot of other customers. Unbelievable. I plan on calling the owner up or a supervisior and letting them know about my horrific experience with his employee, and how I was treated. read more

The good: Takeout. Typically the orders are correct and the wait time isn't bad. The portion sizes are generous and they usually give you a good amount of bread. The bad: Eat-in, price, and service. I've eaten here maybe 5 times and twice, including the last visit, we left because nobody came to our table at all to take an order. We waited a good 15 minutes. This was also on a Wednesday night with a half full restaurant. Meanwhile, the manager is standing at a table adjacent to us talking to people and looking right at us.
