This has to be the best restaurant in San Clemente. The food is all organic and locally grown and the chef is amazing.........Our waiter, Chris, was amazing and made the experience even better. The historic 1928 building is charming and has a wonderful courtyard for dining. read more

Wow. I can not believe we waited this long to eat at Fig 313! We just moved to San Clemente in June, and this was our first time dining here and we were BLOWN AWAY! We changed our reservation last minute from 4 to 6. They seated us in a private room in the back- and let me tell you... this room is perfect for a party of 6!! Our waiter, Andrew, took the best care of all of us, making recommendations (and his recommendations were spot on!!) We had the brussel sprouts and calamari as an app, he made sure we ordered the little gem salad (OMG!!), and then some of us had the filet (I'm not kidding- it was like butter) and some of us had the halibut-so yummy as well. And to finish our meal, we had three different desserts. One of the best restaurants, and I can't believe it's in our backyard. We will be back, and can't wait to check out the cute courtyard area for dinner next time. Thanks Andrew, you helped to make our experience really amazing! read more

What a great little place to dine, private, quiet and intimate. Our waiter was knowledgeable, accommodating to my food restrictions and he made us feel like we were his only priority when serving us. Hats off to the chef for creating delicious dishes for us to enjoy, and preparing our food with impeccable timing. Special thank you to the manager for running a great place for us and everyone to enjoy. read more

Absolutely under estimated this wonderful place!!!! The food and ambiance is incredible as is CHRIS the server, he was attentive and knowledgeable about everything that this place has to offer. Please give it a try and understand what I now do. Love you Chris and 313 fig read more

Beautiful place with garden like patio. We ware seated inside and was also very beautiful. Next time we will have to seat outside. It feels like you are a guest in old Spanish hacienda. On my way to the bathroom I noFood is very good well balanced and nicely plated. For dessert we had chocolate tart. The shell was little hard but the flavors ware amazing. Service was on point and very prompt from the moment we walked in, starting with the hostess and so on. Server was very detailed in description of the special that we had to have it. And the special we had. Dry aged steak. And OMG was decadent. Great flavor, cooked to perfection, juicy, soft and full of flavor. I think this was the best steak I ever had. Ok little pricey but worth every penny and more. With today prices I will say maybe even priced on point based on quality and generous portion. I will be back for sure. We dine in restaurants everyday and this one is one of the best places we visited. After COVID and closers I noticed that a lots of places increased prices but did not support it with adequate service and quality but this place got all done right. It was really enjoyable experience. read more

The food is amazing. Our server took 15 minutes to come ask for our drinks. Also, after finishing dinner at 9:15 on a Friday night, we wanted to order another drink after we paid our bill, and the bartender denied us stating they were closing out for the night. We spend $197 on an appetizer, bottle of wine and two entree's. We felt they should have served us another drink. In addition, we ordered one of the specials. It was explained to us as a New York strip with grilled shrimp. The server neglected to tell us that the shrimp were an additional charge. Same with the other entree. He said it cane with pasta, but when we received the bill, he had charged us for the pasta as well. I hope management reads this and makes appropriate changes as we love the atmosphere and food. I usually would not go back because I feel there are so many great options in San Clemente, but my girlfriend is getting me to be open to give second chances. read more

Excellent, friendly service and fantastic food. The steak was fantastic. So was the seafood medley. Highly recommended!

I was really looking forward to to enjoying Fig 313. I ordered take out. The food took a little longer then expected to arrive. This was not a problem. Once I got home I found out that the burger I ordered was not even close to what I got. The burger was overcooked, contained no slaw, and had very little dressing. To make matters worst, the fries were previously frozen and didn't taste fresh. When you pay twenty dollars for a burger, you expect a little more for your money. read more

I am not sure why it took us this long to come back here when went once when it first opened. Last night we returned and had one of the best dinners we have had out in a long time. All the food was amazing and the service was great! Our waiter was super friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend! read more

The food was ok. Nothing memorable that would bring me back. However, the service was excellent. The waitress was very attentive and our food and drinks came out quickly. We ordered the cornish hen, lobster ravioli, clam chowder soup, and calamari. The cornish hen was dry and it was served over a bed of fried leaks and potatoes they were burnt. The lobster ravioli did not taste fresh and the sauce over the ravioli did not enhance the ravioli. The clam chowder was sweet, which isn't how I enjoy clam chowder, but the clams were cooked perfectly. The fried calamari was good. It was lightly floured and very crispy. Two dipping sauces came with the fried calamari, that tastes like a garlic aioli and chipotle aioli, and they were good. We also ordered two drinks, easy street tom colins and aprol spritz, and they were ok too. read more

Well, it was pretty good! We were excited to try out a new resturaunt!!But our friends steak was over cooked so our waiter Risten, who was EXCELLENT, took the steak back. It took over 1/2 hrs to get our friends meal re- delivered. By that time we had all finished and were ready to leave. She took two bites, packed it up to go. Talked to the owner just to make him aware. Explained her steak came back 1/2 hr later, delicious but cold. He said well you were here since 5:00. Which was not correct, we got there at 5:25, left at 8:15. But not really sure how long we were there has to do with anything. No one was waiting for a table. Especially after waiting 1/2 hr for our friends meal, as if it's what we deserved, a cold meal for being there so long waiting on a meal to come back? We had cocktails, appetizers, salads, main courses, a $432 bill. It was a very rude response. Cute cute place. Probably will go back to give it another shot. But owners need take care of the patrons with a little more class. If there is a time limit, there should be a sign in front, and food should come out in a timely manner.. read more

Not knowing what was the menu and my love for figs, I was up for an adventure. The venue was small, cozy and welcoming. The food was exquisitely delicious, both appetizers as well as the main course. The service was very personal and on cue. Will be back read more

Wonderful dinner option with great food and service! Food: Their special appetizer with fig was tasty as was my wife's classic chicken dish; their Signature Seafood Melange was packed with a variety of fish but the broth was overly salted Service: They accommodated my wife and I on the patio for our anniversary; highly recommend the patio Interior: Relatively small inside since it's a converted business but well decorated Exterior: The patio has an eclectic mix of plants and decor; location is right on El Camino Parking: As usual, limited parking in the area read more

Visited for the first time last night for our anniversary. Honestly one of the best meals I have ever had. The pork shank was moist, filled with flavor and fall-off-the-bone delicious. The atmosphere outside was quaint and romantic. Service fantastic. Made a great dirty martini. We will be back. Highly recommend. read more

Everything was fantastic. Cocktails, goat cheese fondue, and the signature seafood dish- I loved it all! It was so hard to not completely fill up on the goat cheese fondue. The fig whisky cocktails were very yummy and unique. read more

We love this place especially sitting in the courtyard! The staff is friendly and great service the food is great we have now eaten there several times and have never had a bad experience. They are also dog friendly as well, how much better can it get!. The gardens around the courtyard with all the lights and the fountains make the meal even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place. read more

What a perfect night at Fig 313! I drove all the way from San Diego because I had heard about how amazing this awesome little place was. The food was outstanding as were the ambiance and staff. I ordered the salmon that was perfectly cooked and my date ordered the Halibut that was on the menu as a special. Both dishes we had were very well rounded with tons of flavor that perfectly fit the dish. We ended up meeting the owners who were so gracious and welcoming as were their entire staff. They gave us so much history of the restaurant that it truly made the night one of my favorite dining experiences in some time. If you haven't been here before this is a must try I promise you will love it! read more

I wanted to like this more than I did. The patio is lovely. And although it was a chilly night, the heaters kept us toasty. Our cocktails started the evening out right and our server was extremely pleasant. But the food was just adequate and over-priced. read more

This place is delicious! I had such a great experience. I'm bummed I forgot our servers name because he was great. This place is super small and intimate, and absolutely delightful. To start, we split a bottle of Malbec, which was perfect with the goat cheese fondue appetizer. I literally could not stop eating it....so good. Then we split the fazzoletti.....unreal. We added some chili flakes to spice it up, but let me tell you, it was delicious! I can't stop thinking about it. I will definitely return! read more

Great food, reasonable wine prices and nice intimate atmosphere. We will be back. Outside is cool for pre-dinner cocktail.

The octopus and duck confit apps were very good, as was my wife's burger. However, the lobster ravioli was clearly not house made--and came with snap peas that were basically raw and had not had the spines removed. The bouillabaisse was under seasoned and just so so. read more

Fantastic restaurant and cuisine experience! The patio is beautiful, like a European cafe. Lighting and music and wonderful ambiance. Service was prompt, attentive and friendly. Blaze shrimp for starter was delicious with perfect spice and flavor. Short rib main entree was the best I've ever had! It was like candy! Would have this over and over again. Chocolate cake and gelato for dessert was equally impressive. So yummy! Great wine selection too. Definitely a must do restaurant in San Clemente. Wow what a gem! read more

Nice restaurant, love to sit outside. Inside is a little loud with the music and people trying to communicate. Food was great! I had the trout, just wonderful. Will definitely go there again. read more

A favorite!!!!! Hubby and I date once a week and this has become our go to! Atmosphere is amazing. Every single staff member including the owner is friendly and so dedicated to making sure you not only have dinner but an experience. Pretty much tried it all and love it all. We have sat at the bar and outside under the palm trees. Have yet to enjoy a cocktail by the fire pit so that next. Do not think twice before going just go. read more

Ambience is fantastic. Fire pit and palm trees. Great renovation. It's new in town and thought we'd give it a try. The waiter was pleasant and asked if we would like drinks. Sure I'll have a glass of wine. I could have walked home a 1/4 mile away for a bottle and been back before he was. No exaggeration. We should have walked home but I wasn't smarter yet. Now keep in mind this is winter in San Clemente. Restaurant is 1/3 full. We order dinner. Fried Chicken and Waffles. I can't comment on the food. After waiting for 50 minutes it didn't matter what was placed in front of us. The staff is very friendly and looks like they are trying really hard. Lots of them but lots of trips with empty hands. So I'm 100 bucks smarter and I've lost my restaurant picking privileges. read more

I highly recommend this restaurant. The patio area is beautiful! The food was outstanding, try their specialty "Cornish hen" you are not going to regret it read more

We really like this new place! Food and drinks are on point. Think it's very unprofessional your female servers wear their hair down.... not in a pony tail. It's just gross/ also against health code. Put your hair up when you are serving food and or drinks. read more
