Incredible food and service. Sat outside and enjoyed the fire and heater. Andrew was our server and did an amazing job recommending dishes for our first visit. Goat cheese fondue is a must and the short rib was to die for. Highly recommend this cute spot. read more

Incredible food. Very kind and friendly, service. The most special experience we've had this holiday season. The salmon was delicious. The rib eye, was scrumptious. The flan was out of this world. Our cocktails were just so good read more

Came here to celebrate based on the reviews. The goat cheese fondue was nice, but not a true fondue. The pear and gorgonzola salad was delicious.. The trout was a tragedy, so bland!. The beef bourguignon had maybe 4 oz of beef and clearly assembled verses a true stew. To top it off, the server never asked if we wanted more cocktails or food. Not worth $200! read more

Absolutely incredible experience! Rhiston was a great server and had the top recommendations for us. The entire experience from beginning to end was 100% the greatest restaurant experience I've ever had. The scenery, the food, the service was all out of this world! read more

Food is wonderfully amazing. The salmon is cooked just right - it's not over cooked and dry like many places. The seafood pasta is delicious as well, with the house made fresh pasta! Service is wonderfully delicious also. read more

Alright, I never write reviews unless they are really good or I feel the need that there needs to be a change. The food is great but what really makes the restaurant is the people. No one should ever say no one is welcome there knowing that they did nothing wrong and just because you guys are losing customers. That already said a lot about the restaurant itself. I highly advise the manager to re-evaluate who they have serving at their restaurant. Fix yourself read more

Great food and service. Excellent recommendations from our waiter. The setting in the courtyard is charming.

Came here with a party of 5 (made a same-day reservation). Adam, our waiter, made sure to accommodate for our 100-year-old grandmother since we were sitting outside he moved the heater close to our table. He also spoke up so she could actually hear all of the specials instead of us repeating them for her. This dude needs a raise. Escargot special was garlicky and delicious. So was our goat cheese fondue - our waiter recommended this to us and it did not disappoint. Other items ordered: Lobster Ravioli, Roasted Chicken with Balsamic Glaze, Seafood Linguine, and Seafood Melange with a side of linguine. Everything was so delicious, no one wanted to share lol. My dad and I shared a ceasar salad and the seafood melange and it was more than enough food. Dessert was great too, hazelnut ice cream with a candle for my dad's birthday. Thanks for a great dinner, we'll be back! read more

Absolutely delightful and groove local. Adam our server was sucha gent with suggestions. Atmosphere is cozy, borderline romantic but all kinds of folks dining and drinking there. Excellent Caesar (and I'm picky AF) also fantastic craft. Just a simple, elegant, great place! Sorry I don't take pictures of food. I live in the moment, not through my phone. read more

Beautiful new restaurant, a great menu, nice staff and wonderful expresso martinis. My fillet mignon looked beautiful, a little overcooked as I really like very rare but it still cut like butter. Got right in without a reservation and that is not likely to happen at the others in the neighborhood. Oh and try the bone marrow, you won't be disappointed. read more

Outstanding food & wonderful service! We really enjoy going out to dinner but unfortunately can't do it very often. Tonight we were able to and were struggling where to go.. tired of the same old haunts we decided to go to a place we went to in the past but were not blown away by.. absolutely completely different experience tonight! Adam was our server and exceeded our expectations with attention to detail and great conversation! Adam broke down the menu and gave us options to share.. we started with the brown butter beets, worked our way to the little gem salad, onto the main entree - surf & turf filet with shrimp scampi and lastly the crème brûlée! Our Server Adam, Chef Cameron and the rest of the team that focused their attention and time on our small party did a fantastic job! We will see you all again soon!!! read more

Fig 313 has gone downhill. Called and they use canola olive oil blend and rice bran in the fryer. Asked if they could sub butter and they kept handing me off and never gave a clear answer till finally they said no because they marinate a lot of stuff in the oil blend. I said well that stinks because it's really bad for people and he told me that's a "conversation for another time". Sad because I loved when we first went here but knowing the terrible effects of these oils (when you're paying a premium for seasonal, local ingredients) doesn't make sense especially when the server is unwilling to even talk about it read more

We enjoy several places in San Clemente but seem to always gravitate to Fig 313. Wines, food and great service. Both inside and outside seating are nice. Parking is always tough in San Clemente but this place has an entrance of the back. Park at the church (this is allowed) at 119 Avenida de la Estrella. I have had many dishes here and always I am pleased with preparation and presentation. Staff is always friendly and professional as well. read more

Enjoyed dinner here solo on the patio during the Christmas Holiday season. Everything was amazing from the service to the food. The patio is super charming with a warm fire pit, string lights and soft holiday music. I had the waygu burger and truffle fries and shamelessly ate the entire thing. I enjoyed the Fig Old -Fashioned as well. Delicious! A perfect compliment to the burger. Well done Fig 313! Solid 4 stars based on good food and outdoor patio ambiance. My wife and I decided to try this place after seeing some many positive Yelp reviews. Glad we did! Sitting outside was great with a nice little patio area with a fire as well as a fountain to add to the nice vibe. We started off with the Provoleta which is Provolone Cheese, Figs, Pears, Tomatoes and a Port Reduction. Hint- ask for some grilled bread to go with it. We ordered the Scottish Salmon and the Seafood Linguine for our dinners. Both very good as well as nice portions. The Seafood Linguine was Loaded with Clams and Mussels. We also tried the Cherry Blossom cocktail as well which was very good. No dessert for us though. Last tip - ask for the patio when you make reservations. You'll like it out there and they have plenty of heat lamps. read more

Beautiful setting, friendly and attentive staff. Ordered the goat cheese dip. Great taste. Only complaint was we ran out of bread before the dip. We asked for a couple of more pieces. Was told it would be an additional $5.00. Never mind. The entrees were delicious. The bill for 4 including tip was $500.00 (including wine). Still pissed about the bread. Will definitely go back. The food was that good. read more

Just Wow, this review is long overdue. Been regulars for over two years now. Love the food, cuts of meat, variety and seasonal menus. We like Fig 313! I only wish we came in earlier since we are local. The menu is diverse and if you like cocktails they have few special recipes that look great. The patio is beautiful and romantic. There's a fire pit if you want to have glass of wine before or after a meal. My husband had Signature Seafood Melange recommended by the waiter. The portion was plenty and variety of seafood of muscles, clams, calamari, salmon and giant prawn. The broth was delicious! My husband loved it so much that he recommended it to couple that sat down next to us. I had the Scottish Salmon. Cooked perfectly with crispy top with moist and perfection flavor. Afterward we had pleasure of meeting Gus, the owner. He made us feel welcome. He showed us around the outside of restaurant patio area of the changes they did. Gus has been in restaurant business a long time. We can tell because Fig 313 is run well with great atmosphere and amazing menu. We booked a birthday dinner coming up. Looking forward to a great night and great meal. read more

Secret knowledge.... Park at the church. They have an understanding. You can go down the steps right into the restaurant. Should it happen to be sunset, it will be a special treat. I was seated right away, even though my friend was not present. My table was lovey. It was the perfect night for dining out. I had a Passionfruit and grapefruit cocktail. I like a crisp tart flavor. It was beautiful with a slice of blood Orange. And delicious. The waiter was knowledgeable and efficient. I had the duck which was perfectly cooked just slightly pink with crisp skin. The farro was chewy. I don't have a problem with gluten. They listed the dish as gluten free. I'm not certain farro is gluten free. It's an ancient wheat. My friend opted for just fries and a blonde ale. He was happy. Next time, I'll have the baked oysters and a Pinot Grigio. One of my favorite meals. I hope they are as good as they looked at another table. Enjoy! read more

This is the absolute best date night spot. Owner is super friendly as is all of the staff. Adam was our server and made us feel like family. Heard great things about this place and now i see why! The ambiance outside is so romantic and cozy. Great for a girls night too! Food was amazing and the catered to my food allergies. Chris was our server and i can't say enough about his impeccable service and attention to detail. They don't make em like that anymore. He was attentive but not over bearing. He answered all our annoying questions and was extremely patient. The Calamari and Salmon were amazing, can't wait to come back and try more. As someone with extreme allergies, going out to eat can be a difficult event to say the least. The manager, Rhiston, was absolutely WONDERFUL! While he pointed out the items on the menu that met my allergy guidelines, he also was able to alter and customize dishes to fit my needs. It was really amazing to not be judged for my allergies and made to feel at ease in a situation that can be stressful. I know they can be an inconvenience for wait staff and kitchen staff but at Fig I didn't experience the frustrations I normally encounter when dining out. Thank you for the wonderful dinner and superb service! You have earned yourself a returning patron. read more

This is the first time we had been to this restaurant. We'd heard about it and finally went with friends. I am so sorry we waited so long! The quaint patio is filled with fairy lights so the ambiance is so pretty...but the food!!! The service!! And the welcoming feeling from the staff and owner, Gus, is second to none. We had a lot of dishes. The fondue app melts in your mouth and the grilled octopus app was very special. The roasted beet salad had a flavor all it's own in a balsamic glaze and I could have just eaten that all night. but i didn't .I had the pork chop...meat from Spain, well, never had anything like it! Like a wagu pork chop that melted in your mouth. The Branzino ( no head) was served on a bed of couscous and my friend would not share! They had a porter beer , which I love, and a great wine list and very very special cocktails, many made with figs. Our server, Adam, was so attentitive and fun and really helped make the night. the owner, Gus, made us all feel like family and although we live in San diego, we will be making the trek to San Clemente many times in the future. My wife and I make Fig 313 our date night choice multiple times a month. The menu always features new delectable delicacies to steer us away from our go-to menu items. I've not had better service in Orange County, and we dine out regularly at higher end restaurants. Our waiter, Chris, always makes us feel at home and that our patronage is appreciated. The food here...plain and simple is delish. Many times when salmon is cooked it is dry but not here. There salmon was moist. It wasn't undercooked or overcooked. It the words of Baby Bear..."it was juuust right." The Salad was fresh. The wagyu hamburger was no small thing, and it was juicy. The ambiance was very cozy. We sat outside...the air got a bit cooler but they have nice heating lamps so it was perfect. The wait staff was knowledgeable and very friendly. A bit pricy but for a nice dinner...who can put a price on good food, good company and good service. All that totals up to a great memory. read more

We went to Fig 313 for the first time the other night and had a lovely experience. Great service from Adam, including menu recommendations. Delicious goat cheese fondue and Brussels sprouts, and raves from everyone in our party on their entrees--tri tip, salmon, seafood squid-ink pasta, and rack of lamb. The apple tart was a perfect end to the meal. The outdoor garden patio is inviting, warm, and quiet. Looking forward to our next visit! read more

I went here on a date the other night and the food and service was amazing. I believe his name was Rhiston . I had a smoky Paloma, it was delicious. We shared the goat cheese fondue and it was on point. The caesar salad was so fresh I could tell they make their dressings in house. For my main entree I had the braised short rib with the braising liquid reduction as its sauce. I paired this with the fig old fashion to finish off the night. I was just too full for dessert but I will be going back again. read more

New menu for us... We have dined here at least a half dozen times since they opened in 2018 and with the new chef the food is the best ever. We started with a shared Fondue (which reminded us of our times in Switzerland) and it was marvelous and unfortunately, it disappeared too quickly. My bride had the squash soup which was a small portion, but was so rich that the portion seemed perfect once consumed and she raved about it. For the mains - My bride had the poached halibut and it was incredibly tender, soft, and supple. I can't recall having that fish be prepared so gently. Great flavors and good portion size. For me... I had the special Kobe steak. Fairly small portion (maybe 6-7 oz?) but again, rich and very well cooked to medium-rare. The crust on it was superb. The roasted carrots on my plate were about the best ever - again, smaller portion but very tasty and truly about right. I was looking forward to the potato au-gratin because of the cheese... and it was cooked well (but needed some salt). For dessert... we shared the chocolate cake. Almost a traditional birthday cake. The frosting was really good, the cake tasted nice, but it wasn't as rich as their prior chocolate cake (which was an imported cake). We left most of the cake behind because the calorie/flavor ratio didn't drive me enough to want to take it on. The only rub I am having is that it seems like dining out 'well' has become very expensive. We didn't have wine ... and our bill was $157 before tax. Overall... our best experience ever with them and we will most definitely be returning... read more

Fig delivers again! So...I'm not a big fan of chicken as It's usually dry and flavorless. I'll cook it at home occasionally but I rarely order a chicken dish when I'm out. Well someone told me to order the jidori chicken at Fig so I decided to give it a go. OH MY GAWD! Dudes? How did you make it taste like that???? It was so damn good! So a couple weeks later and I was still thinking about that dang Fig chicken! So much so that I decide to go back and try it again. Was it a fluke? Was my first experience influenced by the handsomeness and wit of my date/husband or was this durn chickadee A la Fig really as delicious as I remembered?? 2nd time around it was just as yummy. This chicken dish is moist and flavorful and juicy. Paired with a charred eggplant puree, roasted potates, blistered tomatoes and a rich chicken jus. It's a very homey meal but made with a delicacy or sophistication that chicken most often lacks. Great job Chef Cameron! Not too mention, the staff at this restaurant is so warm and friendly and fun. I just love this restaurant. Ambiance, service and food. All excellent! read more
