Have been to this place a couple of times now. Both times on Sunday's. The place was packed, the staff were lovely, the food was awful.
I'm vegetarian and I wasn't expecting much in terms of variety. I was expecting risotto which, (surprise surprise was on the list) and some generic pasta dish, which (surprise surprise) was also on the list. I wasn't expecting much and I wasn't disappointed. Both veggie main dishes, were different variations of each other. Oily creamy gloop. After the very friendly waiter asked me if everything was OK, I explained that the pasta was really greasy.
I ordered something else, (a starter) I just could not stomach the tortellini. I decided on the "Mediterranean Salad"... a few olives, some tomatoes, 5 leaves of Romaine lettuce, feta cheese and a bit of warm bread.
The place was freezing too. Was like sitting in an old church and there's no ambience in the restaurant.
On the up side, the poster/image of Marilyn Monroe on the toilet door is pretty cool. The place is not particularly pricey and the early bird menu is good value for money
The other people I was with didn't think much of their food either. It was edible, nothing special.
The staff are really really really nice. Oh... and the bruschetta was nice too.
I won't be returning. read more
