We ordered a $500 carry out order from Fifers Seafood. They missed 1/2 our order. Did not deliver butter, scallops, wings and shorted us on the 15lbs of snow crab legs we ordered. After calling back 95 times to get no answer the 96th time we got someone and they sent out another delivery and still missed food. Upon reaching out to Billy supposedly the owner his response is call the restaurant he's off. What a piss poor ran local business. Do yourself a favor spend your money elsewhere. Everyone makes mistakes but the attitude of the ownership is never receiving my business again. Saddens me a local business treats its neighbors this way. Okay... Yes the Sunday buffet is a bit pricey at $65/person before tax and tip. However, this is a great seafood buffet. While they did not have the Dungeness crab when I was there,, everything else was pretty great. They have multiple servers there for you to order continuously which was extremely helpful because you are never left wanting food. You can order as much or as little as you like which is a plus because my sisters and I like to try everything on the menu. Not a fan. I went to Fifer's because they are very close to my home and were open in Monday. This is decision I regret immensely. I purchased 2 dozen "jumbo" crabs at $125 a dozen. Very pricey and there was not a jumbo or heavy crab in the two dozen. My guests couldn't believe they were jumbo, and the comment was made that I should call back and complain. I also purchased 15lbs of snow crab legs. These were big, but so over seasoned and over cooked that they were barely edible. The service for carry out was great and the staff friendly, but unfortunately they just served horrible seafood. read more

Customer service was excellent! Food was awful my husband and I both got sick to our stomach food was greasy and the quality was not good at all we ended up throwing our food away. I had the seafood mix with crab cake shrimp muscles fish soft crab etc., my husband got the fried stuffed shrimp there was so much filler in the crab meat the soft crab wss so tiny the steam shrimp were very small my crab cake had alot of filler I've never thrown a crab cake away before but I just couldn't eat it it didn't taste good at all. Later that night we were both sick to our stomach. We used to go to Fifer's all the time and the food was great I don't know what happened but it wasn't good at all this time. Will not be coming back.... Ordered take out 16 June. My order was a house salad, 8 oz. crab cake, and seafood pasta. The seafood pasta had no seasoning, no flavor. The crabcake was mostly filler and a ton of salt. There was more ice cold crabmeat in the seafood pasta than in the crabcake. Salad - not much you can do to that. So if you want crab, order the pasta and add your own seasoning. Otherwise, you are paying $15 for a "crabcake" that is 90% breadcrumb. read more

I am giving this place 1 star for ambiance, poor customer service, and unprofessional demeanor of the staff/management. I tried to give this place a chance since I love all you can eat crab legs. I was thrown off by the verbal altercation between management and a minority staff member who walked out during my dining experience. To make matters worse the staff and management escalated the situation by discussing the occurrence with bar patrons and other customers. There was also a small hint of racist under tone with customers that were of different ethnicity other than white. Ashley Redin was our waitress and seemd to believe that speaking ebonics was every African American's dialect. The crabs were excellent, if you are willing to wait 20 minutes approximately in between each order. But I can't say that I would travel back to eat and experience the same poor customer service. It's a shame because aside from the antiquated and claustrophobic atmosphere it could have been promising. But so much for that... Michael Smith the general manager did attempt to rectify the horrible dining experience...but I still won't back. read more

Stopped in with my wife for dinner as we were both craving some seafood. She had the lemon pepper orange roughy, which was pretty good (and why I gave them 3 stars...and not 1), and I had the steamed snow crab legs. The crab legs were very overcooked....to the point that all the meat shrank up and stuck to the inside of the shells. I had maybe 1 or 2 pieces that were just ok, but none of it was really "right". I think I'll go back and give them a second chance, since I live less than a mile from them. I just hope it's better this time. read more

We went here for dinner, first time ever. we sat down and the table was sticky and the condiment holder was dirty. We were going to make the best of it tho. We got creme of crab soup not only was it cold but the bowl was the size of a cup and had only a tiny bit of crabmeat and it was 10 dollars. Still trying to make the best of it we got our dinner and my crab cakes weren't cooked all the way thru, they fell apart when trying to eat them. Terrible food. I assume the burger was previously frozen, the meat quality was very bad. I ordered medium rare and it came extra well done. The seafood platter was fried and I was expecting broiled. The wings were very dry, no sauce at all and you could tell they were fried in the same oil as the seafood. Everything was greasy, I ended up throwing 90% of the meal in the trash. OMG, absolutely delicious!!! No matter what you order, you will not be disappointed. Started with appetizers and it was too hard to make a decision on a entrée, so we continued to order appetizers. The oysters and calamari are well seasoned and fried to perfection; while, the crab pretzel and clams casino were among the best I have ever had. If you order appetizers, you might think twice before ordering an entrée because the portions of the appetizers are meals by themselves. Awesome place to eat fish. Great choice on the menu but pricey. Hosts are very attentive to the customers. Then the restaurant would not accept the Groupon. We had order four separate meals with drinks but our fourth person did not show. So the Groupon was invalid. Their are better ways to handle the transaction. Found this place driving around and am happy I did. Being new to Baltimore, I wanted to find a place that was local, comforting and causal with good crab/ seafood. First time here- a bit over whelmed by the menu I was guided by the staff and ended up with soft shell crab, old bay seasoned blue crab and nice mix of other seafoods. On a hot summer day a cold beer made this lunch a completed one. Was told to come back for their happy hour.... Week later I did. Had the experience of cracking a crab. Went here for the first time Sunday. What a pleasant surprise!!! The service was amazing. Everyone was so friendly! We ordered oysters on the half shell, crab dip, wings, fried scallops, and shrimp. My husband is a wind expert and he fell in love with the wings. Crap dip, oysters and shrimp were perfect. I asked for the scallops to be fried instead of steamed but they came out all breaded. That was my fault. I should have said sautéd. No biggie. I just picked off the breading and ate the scallops (I'm on keto). We really enjoyed ourselves!!! read more

Went for a 2nd time. Mediocre food and unprofessional service. The buffalo shrimp was soggy, the mozzarella sticks cool, and the fries tasted like they were cooked in floor cleaner. The bar staff sat around socializing with regulars in between texting. I wouldn't have dared to text behind the bar when I was bartending. Id spend my downtime cleaning (and the place could use a good, deep clean.) I also saw them bring in some frozen haddock (from the back and through the bar) and it comes from China. Fifers is super cool, in my books. I've gone here twice for all you can eat seafood and both times it has just been amazing. You know that feeling when you're about to almost die from the meat sweats but then you man up because another plate of crab legs gets put in front of your face. That's the kind of satisfaction and experience you're going to get here... without the actual death (hopefully). The service has always been above standard and the wait time has never been an issue for me. I will say that for the amount of food, it's a bargain - absolute bargain but it is pricey. Definitely not a place you can eat at every week (at least not the all you can eat). The all you can eat menu is online, but if you're lazy like me, I'll just tell you- crab legs, steamed shrimp, blue crabs, hush puppies, fried chicken, corn on the cob and so much more that I honestly can't remember it all. We tried the steamed crabs (they were small but meaty), crab legs (my favorite), raw oysters (never had them before but they were delish!), corn, fried chicken, chicken wings and mussels. The place is a little small so plan ahead if your short on time. Food is great! My family and I had the seafood alfredo, fried oysters, oysters on the half shell, blue crab (medium), crab cakes, fish fry, and a pizza. Everything was good and came out in a timely manner. If you came to the DC B-more area for Blue Crabs this is the best place we had during our trip. My only complaint is they don't do reservations and there was a bit of a mix up with our table so we waited a bit longer. Hit the Dina for some seafood with the family. This place is located in a strip mall and obviously has expanded in the past years. It has a great set-up and good bar area. The seafood is fresh and well prepared . Obviously their crabs are fantastic per the other reviews. I also highly recommend the fish tacos....freaking awesome! Delivery was quick, under 30 minutes for 2 large deluxe platters, 1 oyster soup and 1 black bottom after I specifically asked what desserts were on hand. First phone call back was to understand why the bill was so high as we were not given an itemized receipt. Seems prices went up though our menu wasn't old. Second call asked where the soup was. They ran out and were too busy to call back but took it off the bill. How about if we wanted an alternate soup or appetizer? No dessert either but we don't know if we were charged or not. Such a great place for seafood. My wife and I go here almost every week and sometimes we come here for takeout crabs. They have a great bar area with really fun bartenders. They have a great all you can eat seafood special. I'm always on a diet so I just order one of their platters instead and they are just as good Also love trivia night. read more
