I've been looking for a particular model car and color and I had the hardest time finding it here in south Florida. I used the Carfax app and was pleased to see they had what I was looking for here at Fields Cadillac, so I decided to make purchase. Being located in Boca Raton made the process a little different than what I'm used to, but the guys at the dealership including Matt and Bill did a really great job sorting everything out and getting me the vehicle. I also really appreciated that they were very responsive and didn't waste my time. Other dealerships that I dealt with in the course of my search either seemed disinterested or acted like they were doing me a favor by answering basic questions. I had to return to fields cadillac st. augustine for a different problem with our car (the head lights were faulty and cadillac new this, intact they sent a letter out for owners stating that they were aware of this and would reimburse if you had to replace them. Now that letter has expired and it cost $1800.00 for each side now to replace them, with no assistance from cadillac. Our car has 77000 miles on it from 2014 and was hardly ever driven at night. That being said, fields cadillac treated me way better than last time. I scheduled a appointment for today and decided to g I ahead and fix it, so I just figured I would have to bring it back tomorrow when the parts come in, a 45 mile one way trip home but Joe my service advisor checked and made sure I got a sweet loaner car, intact its a new electric cadillac and is very nice. This being said, my first experience was still ridiculous and my review still stands true, but this trip was totally enjoyable. I thought I was buying a 2021 GMC Yukon from an upstanding dealership, but boy, was I wrong. If you're looking for a shady, self-financing used car lot, save yourself some time and check out "Uncle Buck's Friendly Used Cars, Where We Personally Finance Your Deal." Oh wait--that wasn't a shady used car dealership--that was actually Fields Cadillac of St. Augustine, where apparently, they're more focused on their Google reviews than the actual condition of the cars they sell or the safety of their customers. Let's talk about the luxury experience I've had. The car broke down on me after only a few months of ownership. Mid-drive, my vehicle just stopped moving--imagine that as a mom with four kids, driving on I-95. Nothing says "reliable family vehicle" like a car that can leave you stranded on a major highway. That's the kind of safety and peace of mind Fields Cadillac offers. Here's the list of fun repairs not covered under the GM warranty (shocker): Fuel pump failure (yup, had to replace that) Dead battery (that was a cool $365, plus taxes and fees, for this auction vehicle you sold me) Rear driver's side and passenger side wheel hubs failed Struts needed to be replaced Here's the list of other super fun repairs covered under the GM warranty: Rear differential replaced Driver's side rear lift gate actuator replaced And the cherry on top? Error codes that pretty much scream "this car is falling apart." Here's the full list of codes you get when your like-new 2021 GMC Yukon is falling apart on you: C0511 C0517 P0498 P0627 P102A P129F U0418 U0447 U053B U18A2 You might wonder: what do all those codes mean? Well, in a nutshell: the car was sold to me with major issues that I had to fix at my expense. Oh, and don't worry about getting any help from Fields Cadillac--those are just details that clearly don't matter to them. Now, let me address the man at the top, Jim Signorile, the General Sales Manager who oversees not just one, but TWO Fields Cadillac locations. The person who's employees thought it was perfectly fine to sell me a car in this condition. I've reached out, my husband's reached out, but guess what? No one at Fields cares enough to actually follow up. Instead, we get the typical response you'd expect from this dealership: "We're sorry to hear about this" "This isn't the level of service we strive for" "Please reach out, we'd love to talk" But don't be fooled. They have my number, they have my husband's number, and they still choose not to reach out. So spare me the empty "we'll reach out" responses in the comments--they don't mean a thing. What I'm really here to tell you is this: Fields Cadillac doesn't care once the sale is made. And if you have any issues, you're on your own. Also, let's talk about the old-school mentality that apparently still exists at this dealership. Mr. Signorile, your team seems to think I'm incapable of making decisions or understanding the issues with the car. They prefer talking to my husband, which in 2024 is not only outdated but also insulting. Is it really that hard to treat female customers like they have brains and can speak for themselves? So here's my advice to you, Mr. Signorile: instead of worrying about your 1-star reviews, maybe worry about fixing your service and customer satisfaction. If you actually care about the people who buy cars from you, 5-star reviews will follow. But keep throwing out those cookie-cutter, "we're sorry" responses, and people will see right through it. Oh, and for the record, your last text to my husband was on October 8th, saying you'd reach out "when you return." Should I just assume you're still on vacation, or was that just another empty promise? I'm posting this because I want others to know exactly what they're getting into when considering Fields Cadillac. OK ,, i wrote a review couple weeks ago and was asked by Fields GM Steve Vargas to take it down and he would work on resolving the issue. he did nothing but try to DOUBLE the price of a car we basically already owned.he's the most dishonest person ive ever delt with.Heres what transpired...my wife brought her car a 2017 in for oil change, it also had a problem , she was talked into buying a 2022 , mostly because shes a Disabled Veteran and needs a reliable car to get to the VA multiple times a week.After getting home she realized it was not financialy a good idea.She called Darla ( not much better than Vargas)the next day, and asked if can just bring back and get her old car back , she said No Problem but had to wait until Monday , it was Saturday. My wife went on Monday only to be told she had 2 options , one was to keep the 2022 , the other was to buy back her old car.Oddly enough im not sure how the sold her and registered the 2022 because she never got the 2022 insured ??i mean did they forge insurance?? there was NO change to our insurance at all.pretty sketchy. so they offered her her old car back at the same monthly payment she had on it , she owed 3 more years ,, but they told her had to pay for 6 years, so would had to pay Double what she owed.its been weeks and Steve Vargas has not tried in the least to resolve this. I placed an order for a Cadillac Escalade on 2/27/21 with their sales person. At that time, the sales person indicated it would take 2-4 months for delivery...Fine. From that time, we exchanged texts 4 times over a 5 month period regarding the status of my vehicle. Today I called the sales manager for an update, in which he indicated my order had not yet been placed and it would be another 2-3 months. In addition, some options are no longer available. What was discouraging in all this was the total lack of communication. In fact, the sales person indicated in a text back in May that "your order is in, but the assembly plant has not yet picked it up. I'll keep you posted". The sales person never initiated any contact over the 5 month period and the sales manager never apologized could not have been more indifferent on my call with him today. So 5 months wasted on a vehicle that was never ordered, while being lead along that it was. A year ago I would have written a 5 star review for this dealership but something has changed here. There's a new service manager and several new "advisors". I brought my car in about 8 weeks ago to have a vibration dealt with. I was told it was the sunroof and was charged over $500 to fix it. When I got it back, the sunroof edges were covered with a gooey lubricant (which will quickly attract dust). Noise still present. Brought the car back and was told it was actually a drivetrain issue, fortunately covered by warranty. Its now been almost 4 weeks and I still don't have my car. Claim they are "waiting for the part". Called several times this week to get an update; everyone's is always "busy". Promise callbacks which never come. We were in the market for a new car this past month and were considering an XK5; likely will buy this month but it won't be a Cadillac. read more

Have had good and bad experience with service here. Got my car here and they let me drive away without a cap on one of the tires. The air pressure was also completely messed up, the tire pressure for one of the tires was at like 50 and I had to come back to pick up the cap and get the tire pressure adjusted. I'm so happy that I discovered Fields Cadillac. Disappointed from poor customer service at my former dealership, Fields renewed my faith in car dealerships and service after the sale. I called Fields and spoke with their service department manager and ask if they had a particular part, that my dealership claimed they had to order, so my car would not be ready for my husband and I to travel to meet family for the holidays. Politely he said they had that part and would be happy to complete the repair for me that day and it would be ready within an hour. After having my car in the shop for 2 days with the other guys, Fields had me back on the road in an hour. Not only did they complete the repairs, they washed and vacuumed my car as well. Was on vacation visiting family and enjoying beach when getting ready to leave was suggested to check out fields by a family member since i have a Cadillac they offer a free service wash. I thought great idea get some of the sand out of the car WRONG! When the young man who had washed my car gave me back my keys he smelled strongly of alcohol. Next when i got into my car it smelled like some type of cigar smoke i ended up having to air the car out for hours. To top it all off car wasn't even cleaned sand was still everywhere. Dan and his team have always taken great care of me and my car. A year ago I would have given 5 starts. Something is different with the service dept. The old team Frank, Joe, etc. are gone. The new team can't get their act together. We've had two issues with our 2020 vehicle on interior parts. The first time they never called when the part came in, we just happened to come in for a wash and they discovered the part was in. The second time, they said the issue was fixed, it wasn't, again had to order a part. And, I keep getting reminders that my 2016 vehicle needs service when I traded it in on the 2020 vehicle. No communication between sales and service on which vehicle I currently own. And, there were spiders in the waiting room near the windows. One lady had one crawl on her. The windows were dirty, the seats need to be replaced, the floors were dusty. The food at the café wasn't good. Nasty tuna fish salad, which later gave me a stomach ache. Something is different about this place. I used to like going there, not now. read more
