My daughter brought her 2013 ATS in due to stabilitrak light coming on and for an oil leak. After the car being there for a week, and $2000 later she picks up her car. A couple days later while driving to St Augustine, the right front wheel locks up on her on I-95. Got the car towed back to the dealership and they said that the brake caliper bolts backed out and caused the issue. So, they replaced 2 wheel studs and the caliper bolt This repair was over $1000 and they had the car for three weeks. Picked up the car today and there is a vibration in the front end and now the charging system malfunction. So, the saga continues. And the service sucks. When/if they ever fix this car, this will be the last time we will be back at Fields Cadillac. read more

I feel very ripped off after taking my 2022 XT5 in to have an oil leak investigated. It turned out to be a very simple fix, that is, Take 5 oil change did not tighten the filter. They charged me $366 to do this very simple fix, without getting my prior approval for the charge. They tried to upsell me for a couple of thousand dollars worth of maintenance, which I declined. Then when my son went to pick up the car, it wouldn't start. The timing if this was highly suspicious, as the can had been fine prior to being there. They charged me $388 for a new battery without doing a battery test on the old one. This dealership does not provide a luxury car buying experience. It took us 3 days to take possession of our new vehicle. [[HIGHLIGHT]]To all our questions, we received different answers from different employees.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They did not pay the pay off on our trade in for 14 days (Fl law requires the pay off is to be made within 10 business days); we were just shy of having to make a payment on a vehicle they had ownership of. When I went back to them after numerous phone calls, I found out they had sent the vehicle to auction without owning it. It was still in my name and payment was due (FL law says that this is also illegal). Just in case any of you forgot what a horrible service department this is, read the reviews. They can't even get an oil change right, returned my brand new Blackwing to me a half quart low. Their dealer prep is a joke, clueless service techs that damage your car and act like it is your fault. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a service director with 0 communication skills that is obviously incapable of managing his people.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Techs are not held accountable for their shortcomings and sometimes just do not even do what the customer has asked. If you have no problems with this service department now, continue taking your vehicle there. Sooner or later you too will become a victim of their low standards and poor-quality techs. To update where I am at this point, it has cost over 8k to repair all the paint damage created by them, I still have glass rattling around in the car from the 3 month sunroof replacement ordeal, I have lost the use of the vehicle for a total of almost 100 days, it has cost me over 45 hours of my time just getting these repairs completed including the multiple trips to the dealership to deal with them. Will never return to a Fields Automotive location. Service department took 30 days to change the alternator on my 2013 Mercedes ML350. After their mechanic tried and failed to replace the alternator, they had to order a new alternator and transferred my vehicle to a Mercedes dealership to complete. I also requested a B maintenance service for my vehicle, which was not completed. Service advisor was awful at communicating the delays and I often had to reach out to find out what was going on. 0/10 Do not recommend. My husband already reached out to the service manager and has not received follow-up from him. Cowardly of the service manager to leave a canned response instead of actually following up with a phone call. read more

Horrible experience with dealership I took the car to change the HUD (heads up display) and the mechanic, damaged the top of the dashboard and the top that joint the dashboard with the windshield, he must to seen it, I saw it as soon as I went out of the car and walk around, he didn't said anything, I called and spoke to the service manager and he said the part was going to be change, the day came to change the part they came and pick up the car around 8:30 to 9am and it was close to 4:15pm when I called back and they told me the car wasn't finished that they were going to put me on a loaner, well then I got a call back from Sandy around 4:20pm and told me she was going to send the guys with the car, well it was more than hour when I called back because I didn't heard from anyone and got the operator name Eric, he transferred me to Sandys extension and the call was not answered so I ended back into the operator q which he told me that Sandy was gone for the day, so I got aggravated because everything that was happening and all of the sudden the person that was supposed to help me was gone for the day!! I asked to speak to the general manager and Eric transferred me back to Sandy again, I asked her if I need to stop my daily routine and wait for them all day to bring the car after more than hour and a half wait, she got very unprofessional and hang up the phone on me, I called back and, I asked to speak to the general manager because there was no one else to talk to and now I do understand why the employees do whatever they want and they react the way they do the general manager Mr. Signorile was very unpleasant, sarcastic, and even unprofessional when told he was he immediately changed his voice tone and try to imply that I was imagining that, and asked me to wait that he was going to go back to service and see if he could it found out what was going on, he came back and told me that they were going to bring the car and that he personally was going to call me the next day in the morning found out what was wrong and let me know when the car was going to be completed! It goes without saying that I still waiting for his call back! Never called me back that's the customer service, they feel if the general manager acts this way why not me! I would not recommend the dealer to anyone, Fields Cadillac and other Fields brands are a monopoly, and they think they can mistreat customer and do what they want with customers time, they think that the small plain sandwich they give they can called breakfast! Also if they are going to give you a loaner ask for something comparable to what you have do not allow them to give a car that you can barely feed in. Ora, was very helpful, kind and professional, that's the only person in that entire dealer that cares. I have worked with the General Manager on several charity initiatives and he is always been so accommodating and helpful. A few years ago one of my friends started working there and he says the atmosphere is always positive upbeat he looks forward to going to work every day. In a recent event to roll out the new Cadillac CT6, I found that I knew a couple of other employees who work there as well. They two were very positive about the work environment and how much they enjoyed working with the team and is been assembled there. I have always spoke very highly of Fields Cadillac of Jacksonville. I have purchased several SUVs and a car from that location. I have even referred new customers. in December, we purchased yet another vehicle from Fields. Even after relocating to a different state. The experience started out as usual an the salesman was professional and on point, as airways. The end not so good, especially after we drove across 3 states to take delivery of the vehicle. The salesman was not there when we arrived and could have easily shared the info during texts communications, but did not. The experience became the worst of numerous purchases from this dealership. I Had my 2009 CTS-V towed in for service. JR was my service rep and was a nice enough guy. They diagnosed the problem and a few days later they called me to tell me it was fixed and ready to be picked up. I live two hours away so, I made sure to double check if the car was fixed. The answer was yes. I took a two hour uber to the dealership to retrieve my car. When I got there I again asked JR if my car was fixed and ready to go. "No problems right JR", He said nope its all set and ready to go. I paid the bill ($1170) and they brought the car around. Immediately I noticed the check engine light was on. A head tech (TJ) took the car to the back to try and figure out the problem. After an hour he and JR told me the fuel pump must be going bad for reasons they could only hypothesize.. Two problems, with this. Why was I told the car was " good to go " when anyone with their eyes open could see the check engine light was still on. Second why was the fuel pump issue not disclosed to me during diagnosis. The issue which I paid to fix was the fuel pump control module. So they charged me for a part related to a fuel issue but, didnt address the larger and very much related issue. The mechanic should have diagnosed it. Instead he came up with some excuse to Cover his butt. I basically paid $1170 for nothing. Yes the car starts but, can really not be safely driven. And again why in the world did no one notice the check engine light came on and why didnt anyone advise me of this before I spent two hours in an uber to get the car. Of course no one wanted to take responsibility. Finally I spoke to Matt Goin the service director. He was condescending, unsympathetic and flat out rude. His rationale was your car was brought in and wouldnt run and now it runs so we did our job. Well, yeah it ran for 15 minutes and then died for the same reason It was initially brought in. He was unwilling to accept any responsibility or even apologize that I was told three different times that my car was fixed and good to go. He had zero compassion that I had to uber two hours to come get a vehicle that was not fixed or diagnosed properly but told it was. I would have worked with him to achieve some level of compromise but, he wouldn't acknowledge that at any point his service department did anything wrong. This issue is 100% the fault of the service department but, they accepted 0% of the blame. When a mechanic diagnoses a problem and you pay them to fix the problem it seems logical to expect they pinpointed the issue and did it properly. Who is to say if they fix the fuel pump now that they wont say ooops it's something else and that will be another $2000. The feeling I got was they wanted me out of there so the problem was no longer theirs. A possible solution could have been a loaner car and try to figure out their mistake. In any case, Im a reasonable person and If Matt Goin would have been cordial or somewhat understanding I would have felt somewhat satisfied. This man has no business running a service department or any other job where he must deal with customers. His demeanor only infuriated me further. I will say even though JR made the mistake of telling me my car was fixed and ready to go when it wasnt he was at least sympathetic to the problem. Too bad he was not in charge because I can assure Mr Goin and Fields Cadillac I am not going to let this situation slide. read more

Best part of this dealer is the breakfast, let me explain....I've held off on writing a review because the GM of Fields Cad tried to make it right with our problems buying the car, but we just had our "free" service and I have to write something because I've had it. We purchased a new XT5 in 3/19 and when we went to pick it up there was a paint chip on the hood. They said they would fix it but I'm buying a new car, not a used/repaired car. After a few days they found another car and we picked it up at night. When we got it home and looked it over the next day there were different spots on the paint that needed polished out and the detailing on it was poor to say the least, so we brought it back. It took a few days to get it decent and the GM gave us some money for our first payment so we figured it was a mistake and at least he tried to make it right. While I was detailing the car I found they had the license plate hanging on and it scratched the paint so I just fixed it myself. The entire buying experience was maybe a 3 out of 10. You're supposed to be excited when you get a new car and we were just upset. So today we bring it in for the first service. I made an appointment for Thursday at 9 am and when I came in they said they had no appointment for me. After awhile they said they had me booked for Wednesday but they could do it today. She told me it would take a couple hours to finish, not a problem. We were sitting outside about 2 hours later and she brought all the paperwork to sign, (found out later it wasn't our paperwork) went to give me the key and it wasn't mine. She went to look for the key and found mine then said the car wasn't touched yet, they somehow missed it. I went inside to find someone to talk to and a few minutes later she came back and said the car was serviced but they washed it when I asked them not to. I went and checked the car and it wasn't washed, but she insisted she was told it was. I had enough at this point and took the car without any paperwork because they had no clue what was going on. I did get a call from the GM and Service Mgr apologizing for my problems and asked if there was anything they could do. I DO NOT want anything for my problems, but I'm going to let everyone know what kind of experience I've had with them. read more

The customer service at Fields Cadillac is wonderful. Everyone is so friendly. Albi was my sales representative and took the time to show a couple vehicles. He even acquired a vehicle from another dealership to meet my needs. That was totally unexpected, but sealed the deal. A couple of opportunities: - It took a long time to sign paperwork and had to come back the next day in order to finish signing. Not the best situation with three little children and a specific wedding weekend time schedule. - Stop playing the car dealership games by saying I had the best deal, at full price, then call me back after a few minutes with a $1,000 reduction. I prefer the up front pricing of CarMax over any dealership. - Thank you KR for explaining how I could see the $1,000 price reduction. Worst experience ever at a service appointment! I was told two to three weeks after my husband purchased a new CT6, I was suppose to come back in for a "Pit Stop" this service is to top off fluids and check tire pressure and a car wash. I checked in right before 10:00 AM, an older service advisor meet me and asked when did I take delivery, I told him almost 3 weeks. He replied with oh your getting a "Mini Pit Stop"! After about an hour has passed I asked him how much longer as I had another appointment. I could have stayed in my home for an almost hour and a half car wash with no fluids topped off, no tire pressure checked! Not to mention the salesperson not a man of his words! My wife and I have had a very unpleasant experience at this dealership. It could have been a positive event--or, at least, something uneventful--thanks to employees like Mark. However, because of the lack of professionalism of others, it has been a disgrace--to avoid using other more offensive terms. We should elaborate. We leased a new vehicle a month ago--Labor Day Weekend. As most people, we traded in our old car--that, by the way, had not been paid off yet. We previously visited CarMax across the street, and they gave us a quick and honest estimate. Since they promised us at Fields Cadillac that they were going to match that amount, we proceeded with them, and completed the deal. As literary works usually state, "little did we know" the way they conduct business at this place. They promised us the amount/pay-off would be "taken care of" within 7-10 days. As the month went by, we kept checking our loan account, and, to our dismay, the amount remained the same. A few calls to Fields ended up with empty promises, and blaming others. September ended--fall started--and the bank, obviously, charged us their monthly fee, for a vehicle we have not had for a complete month. Today, again, they promised us the same, and that we would be reimbursed. But even if they do today--as they should--it would be too little, too late. A whole month to pay off a vehicle. To add insult to injury, the General Manager, Jim, did not even have the courtesy to call us back and apologize. They put you through the wringer to give you a loan, and you had better pay on time. However, there is a double standard: if they do not pay what they owe, it is fine. Maybe Mr. Fields should keep an eye on the way this place conducts business. Instead of TV commercials that focus on how wonderful they are, and the "best snacks" they provide--who cares about a cheap honey bun?--their focus should be paying promptly what they owe. Perhaps, they spend so much on snacks, they run out of cash to pay for the vehicles traded in. In summary, save yourself the pain, the troubles and tribulations, and go somewhere else. After all, this is a free country, and we can always find good people, somewhere--and not necessarily over the rainbow. PS: We gave them one star because we could not do "minus five." read more
