We were fans of the downtown location Orr pandemic times, Today we dropped by for a to go order at the Westboro location. Service was fast and friendly. Not sure why they switched their ceaser salad to a kale ceaser.. it was ok but we definitely prefer the lettuce! I've been to the Fiazza Fresh Fired on Murray St down in the Byward Market and really liked it, so I was very excited to see this one open up in Westboro (and within walking distance from my house no less). This place is brand spanking new. It's been open for only 2 weeks. It takes over the space of the former Swiss Pastries. The place is modern-looking and clean. Their menu is simple. They do pizzas and salads. They also have a small selection of desserts from local bakeries. They are licensed and serve wine and beer. They have soft drinks, water, San Pellegrino sodas, and Ottawa's own Harvey & Vern's sodas. However, they do not serve coffee nor tea. You order your pizza and pay at the cash register, then when your pizza is ready, they bring it to your table. They have Signature Pizzas (pre-set combinations) ranging in price from $8.95 to $12.85. Or you can build your own pizza. The base pizza is $8.55 (+$4 if you want gluten-free) which comes with your choice of sauce, and your choice of cheese (+$2 if you want dairy-free Daiya cheese). Basic toppings (mostly vegetables) are $1.35 each, and premium toppings (mostly meats) are $2.35. Salads range from $4.65-$8.45 depending on size and type. I built my own pizza with Fiazza red sauce, Fiazza cheese blend, artichokes, roasted broccoli and roasted BBQ chicken. It was fantastic. I loved the thin crust. The pizza wasn't too saucy, and they were not stingy with the toppings. I liked that the sauce was nice and light, and not overwhelming. The pizza also did not taste overly greasy/oily, which I appreciated. I liked that the cubes of chicken were lean breast meat and not gristly. Overall, I really enjoyed my pizza. The only thing that disappointed me on my visit was that I got a bottle of water and I asked for a glass to pour it into. They gave me a glass from behind the counter, and when I got to my table I realized that it was not clean; it had lip prints on it. Needless to say, I just drank my water straight from the bottle. I feel that better care needs to be taken on the dishwashing front here. Staff were friendly and efficient. My estimate is that the place seats about 35-40 people. Fiazza is in the same plaza as Natural Food Pantry and Bushtukah. There is a small parking lot with limited parking spaces. read more

Before COVID I had the pleasure of dining in there a few times. Great fresh pizza that is prepared on the spot and served just perfectly. This time we ordered it online, and I dont know if this pizza doesn't travel well or if the memory of how good it was at the restaurant affected my experience but It was a bit dry (not enough sauce). However, I will give it the benefit of the doubt and if you do order it remember this is a true Italian style pizza and not the frozen-reheated stuff you get off regular chains. I will definitely give it another chance. read more

We ordered several pizzas for the whole family. The selection is nice, the execution terrible. The crusts were burned and too thin. Barely any toppings, no fresh flavours. I have a real problem with a resto that refuses to take cash because they think their staff will pocket money. I had a caesar salad that they now make with kale, yuck. The butternut squash ravioli was gross, tasted like baby food. I used to like this place. read more

42 mins for a single pizza to be ready to eat! I called at 612 for a single pizza for pickup. They told me it would be ready in 20-25 mins. So I arrived at 642 expecting my pizza to be ready. Nope. There are 3 young kids working with one at the front. There is one large table of 10 people and one other table of a small family in the whole restaurant. But when I went to pay my pizza hadn't even been put in the oven. I ended up having to wait another 10 mins! I complained that 40 mins was unreasonable and the staff replied "Oh well we got busy" with absolutely no apology. On top of that, the pizza was about as lacklustre as it gets. I could have had frozen pizza from Farm Boy better and faster than this. This restaurant needs a reality check and an adult manager on site. read more

Surprising and very disappointing in person experience. Have ordered through Uber eats many times with great results. When asking about ordering a custom pizza I was told that wait times were 25+ minutes. I didn't have an issue with this and asked if there was any difference between ordering online vs dining in and was brusquely told by another staff member that my order could not be prioritized (not what I was asking for) and that I needed to be wait because so many people were ahead of me. My confusion seemed to frustrate the young woman who was running things and and she promptly walked away in the midst of this interaction. I then waited for another 30 seconds to see if anyone would come back for my order but it seemed I had been dismissed and all staff were busy doing other things. Other than the delivery drivers and guests seated at tables I was the only person in line trying to order on the spot. I get that it's a busy place - no issue with that...but courtesy towards a customer who is trying to buy your product (and was polite throughout) would be appreciated. Note to the employee that I dealt with - I really hope your day gets better. read more

THE ZAAA MAN! It's so tasty and there are so many fresh toppings to choose from! They have a wide range of pizzas to chose or you can build your own and offer so many dietary restricted options! My Dad's girlfriend was able to eat with us as they offer a great gluten free crust and a dairy alt-cheese. They were very friendly and accommodating and you could watch the pizza while it cooks! So cool! They also have great breweries on tap and Kombucha. Yummmm We also grabbed a couple G-F Vegan ginger lemon cookies which we learned were made by a local bakery down the street! I think this place is a great night out with family and friends as it offers delicious food and great service, kinda refreshing. :) They have so many other choices we will be back to try out other pizzas & salads too! I was so looking forward to trying the pizza, a place to go with friends where we can all eat pizza, gf and dairy free ... Our pizza arrived almost twenty five minutes after our friends order hit the table ... I regret not asking for a refund and not waiting for the pizzas ... Tasty but very little daiya cheese for the added cost ... Perhaps at ordering the staff should ask about food sensitivities etc not 10 minutes after pp lacing my ordering. Poor service, no apologies ... Will not be returning ... Huge disappointment. read more

My mother and I were excited to have a restaurant open across from the Superstore and have twice now eating a meal before grocery shopping. We share pizzas (so we've tried four) and thought every combination was delicious! It is freshly made and light (they only do gourmet thin crust). When loaded with veggies, we actually feel good after eating. One issue is that the kombucha on tap shares a tap with the beer. For most, this is not an issue. For me, I have a strong reaction to "raw" beer. I have not had the courage yet to ask if they'd flush the tap (wipe the nozzle and run it for a good ten seconds before pouring me a glass). I point it out only in case someone, like me, likes kombucha but is allergic to beer. read more

Well, after posting my review of my pizza with rotting mushrooms, it's one week later and I have food poisoning. I've spent most of my time in the last week in the bathroom. I guess I shouldn't have eaten any of the pizza. So sad that this place served me tainted mushrooms and can continue to be in busiiness. read more

I was unsure if I could eat here as I have a lot of allergies but to my surprise they offer so much! I am gluten free and they have an incredible tasting gluten free crust! They also went the extra mile and used fresh toppings for my pizza so there was no cross contamination! Absolutely amazing! I also have allergies to tomatoes and dairy and they had alternative sauces and Daiya cheese! They made me feel so comfortable and safe as I could watch them create my pizza! I dont usually go out because there aren't ever alot of options for me but Fiazza made me feel normal eating out! Sometimes even ordering as a celiac the gluten free stuff doesn't always agree with me but I had no issues with their pizza and honestly it was truly delicious! Thank you Fiazza for such an incredible experience and thank you to the young man who took great care with my pizza I believe his name was Luca! I walked in and there was a line up so I was about to leave when I received a friendly greeting and decided to stay. That was a great decision as this was certainly one of the best pizzas I've had in town. I ordered the BBQ Chicken and it was delicious. My husband ordered a Margharita pizza (only $8.95) and he said it was the first pizza in Ottawa that truly reminded him of his home town of Naples. We had some local brews and soaked up the sun on the patio. Wish they offered some Gelato to complete the meal and the line was a bit of a pain but it did go quite fast as the pizza is only 3 minutes in the oven and ready very soon after we paid. read more

A nice concept and decent food but unbearably slow service. Arrived at dinner time to a nearly empty restaurant. Two customers ahead of me appeared to have been waiting for a while and were growing frustrated. I waited to order, waited to pay, sat down and waited some more. 55 minutes later, I finally recieved my two pizzas. While waiting I listened to the cashier talking on the phone with various Skip the Dishes customers whose orders were wrong, late, or never arrived. During the dinner hour this location managed to prepare FIVE PIZZAS for three customers in the restaurant and two deliveries. How a quick-service restaurant managed to be so incredibly slow, I cannot explain. With decent management they could have done ten times the volume. read more
