And the pizza is great. I posted on Twitter about it and someone commented that if I haven't tried the pizza with gravy, I'm an amateur. And someone on Facebook mentioned the gravy too. So I'm definitely going to have to try that next time. Last night after covering the media night at the opening of for wheelies rollerskating rink, I told the Uber to take me right to House of Georgie and I sat there and had a couple of pepperoni slices while watching videos on my phone. Oh, and last time I was there, two different dogs strolled right in at separate times and wanted meat. The owner apparently feeds them. It's so cute.

It's really delicious! My only criticism with this place is that one day I got a slice, and it was old and not warm enough. The owner was not receptive to my complaint. So what I would say is, if you want to eat pizza here, make sure that it is freshly made for you.

I personally like toppings on top of the cheese, as I like my pepperoni a bit crispy around the edges. Mama Rosa has their pepperoni under the cheese. He got the walk-in special, which I think was $12.99, which is reasonable. Their regular price for a large pepperoni pizza is $20.95. If you get 2, it's $37. The pepperoni at Mama Rosa is huge. It's not the small, slightly bigger than a Toonie pepperoni that most pizza places use. The pepperoni is like the huge deli meat salami kind. The sauce I found a bit sweeter than at other places. The amount of cheese was good, and the crust was a good thickness (not too thick). It came with some garlic dipping sauce, which I did not eat. Overall, good pizza. I would get again at walk-in special prices. The regular prices are too spendy for my liking. It's in a tiny strip mall and there's free parking.

This place is brand spanking new. It's been open for only 2 weeks. It takes over the space of the former Swiss Pastries. The place is modern-looking and clean. Their menu is simple. They do pizzas and salads. They also have a small selection of desserts from local bakeries. They are licensed and serve wine and beer. They have soft drinks, water, San Pellegrino sodas, and Ottawa's own Harvey & Vern's sodas. However, they do not serve coffee nor tea. You order your pizza and pay at the cash register, then when your pizza is ready, they bring it to your table. They have Signature Pizzas (pre-set combinations) ranging in price from $8.95 to $12.85. Or you can build your own pizza. The base pizza is $8.55 (+$4 if you want gluten-free) which comes with your choice of sauce, and your choice of cheese (+$2 if you want dairy-free Daiya cheese). Basic toppings (mostly vegetables) are $1.35 each, and premium toppings (mostly meats) are $2.35. Salads range from $4.65-$8.45 depending on size and type. I built my own pizza with Fiazza red sauce, Fiazza cheese blend, artichokes, roasted broccoli and roasted BBQ chicken. It was fantastic. I loved the thin crust. The pizza wasn't too saucy, and they were not stingy with the toppings. I liked that the sauce was nice and light, and not overwhelming. The pizza also did not taste overly greasy/oily, which I appreciated. I liked that the cubes of chicken were lean breast meat and not gristly. Overall, I really enjoyed my pizza. The only thing that disappointed me on my visit was that I got a bottle of water and I asked for a glass to pour it into. They gave me a glass from behind the counter, and when I got to my table I realized that it was not clean; it had lip prints on it. Needless to say, I just drank my water straight from the bottle. I feel that better care needs to be taken on the dishwashing front here. Staff were friendly and efficient. My estimate is that the place seats about 35-40 people. Fiazza is in the same plaza as Natural Food Pantry and Bushtukah. There is a small parking lot with limited parking spaces.

Their business model is similar to Pi Co and Fiazza, where you pick your toppings and they fire it up and it's done in less than 3 minutes. They were having a BOGO (buy one get one free) deal on UberEats. So I got a 10" Butter Chicken Pizza for $19.98 and got a free one. (Note that the price for the same pizza if you buy it in the store is only $16.95, but you only get one for that price.) The Butter Chicken Pizza has butter chicken sauce, grilled chicken, grape tomatoes, spinach and red onions. It was really tasty and a great deal with the BOGO special. It had a subtle Butter Chicken flavour, but not too intense. I personally prefer the more potent Indian flavouring of Red Swan's Butter Chicken Pizza, but I can appreciate the more subtle taste. The crust was thin and they were generous with the toppings. I ordered for pickup and it was ready in about 15-20 minutes. Staff were friendly and pickup was quick. There are tables and chairs to dine in if you like. Street parking only.

Production is pretty fast and staff are friendly. I was in and out with my pie in under 15 minutes. I think they brushed the pizza with some butter or oil at the end. I popped the box open and it reminds me of a thin bar pie without the crispiness. It's alright pizza if you're in the area.

I hadn't been here for many years but had frequented it back in the 90s and early 2000s when the original owners Bud And Rita owned it. It was great back in those days. Today was an absolute shock, disappointment and somewhat disgrace on part of the ownership who were not in the store. When I walked in to the take out restaurant, the pizza slices were sitting pre sliced in the warmer on the counter, they didn't really look appealing however it was 12:30 and I was hungry. The young lady opened the glass door and proceeded to cut the slice in half which was out of my sight. after doing so she collected my $6 dollars and slid me half a slice of cold pizza across the counter. I waited momentarily for the other half but after asking about it, I was told that the pizza slices in the window are actually 2 slices. This is a large pizza cut in to 6 slices then cut again in half . That's 12 slices at $6 each. That's $72 for a large pepperoni pizza. Finding this out was a shock. I actually only took this piece of cold pizza in order to show folks just how criminal this business is. This is the $6 pizza slice and this is my dog eating it. BTW I did taste it, and it was absolutely awful. This business owner should be ashamed. Never again.

Although the pizza was really small, like a personal size pizza. I love that in addition to regular toppings that all pizza shops have like pepperoni, green peppers, mushrooms, etc. they have more cool toppings like chicken, broccoli and artichokes, which are the 3 toppings that I got on my pizza. Both the quantity and quality of the toppings were good. They do put the toppings mostly under the cheese, which is not my preference, but it was still ok. The crust was thicker than I like, and a bit doughy under the toppings, but around the edges it was surprisingly crispy and delicious. Service wasn't rude, but not the friendliest. The place is super small, so it's literally just takeout. They sell some pizza by the slice too, although varieties are limited. It's $4.99 for a slice, a dipping sauce, a bag of chips, and a can of pop. The slices are pretty big, like almost as big as my "small" pizza. The pizza shop is in a strip mall with lots of free parking.

I added green olives on my pizza and made it a thin crust. I also splurged and got a side of garlic fingers and their homemade garlic sauce. The thin crust pizza texture was perfect and had amazing texture and crunch. Foldable NY style pizza. This is where it's either you love it or dislike it, but their yellow dough is not my fave. There is a flavor in the dough that I am just not a fan of. Could it be chicken broth flavoring or some type of spice they add in? I'm not sure, but I gave this pizza a second shot and I am just not a fan of the dough. My kid was not a fan this time either. It's all personal opinion as some people I talk to adore this style of pizza. Garlic fingers tasted similar to the pizza, with some added spices on top. Garlic sauce was bomb! Maybe I will try some of their finger foods next, but the pizza is not for me.

Overall, the pizza was good, but they do put the toppings under the cheese, which is definitely not my preference, lol. I got the large one topping walk-in special ($12.85) and chose pepperoni as my topping. It took 15 minutes. The crust is indeed golden. They say the yellow hue is due to egg yolks, but I suspect there is another ingredient that gives it that depth of ochre. Perhaps turmeric or annatto. Hopefully not food colouring, but I suppose it could be. I guess it's a proprietary secret, lol. The crust tastes more flavourful than regular crust, but I can't pinpoint the actual flavour. Like I mentioned earlier, they put the pepperoni under the cheese. Growing up in Toronto, this style was very foreign to me when I first moved to Ottawa, but I have since learned that this is very common in Ottawa. I can't say I'm a huge fan of it, but I can still appreciate a pizza made in this style. I like my pepperoni a bit crunchy and the pepperoni was obviously soft and chewy when it's under the cheese. The amount of cheese was good. The sauce was also tasty. Overall, it was a pretty good pizza, all things considered. Staff were friendly. It's in a strip mall so there's free parking in the strip mall parking lot.
