Stopped into Fiamma in Westfield, NJ for a weekday lunch and had a great experience. We ordered two coal-fired pizzas (a classic and a Margherita) and both were solid, with that distinct flavor you can only get from a coal oven. If you're used to Manhattan pizza, this isn't trying to compete on that level, but it absolutely holds its own as a high-quality local option. We went with the lunch special, which included a salad and drink for the price of a 12" pie. It's a great deal, and the pacing was perfect. Service was fast, friendly, and dialed-in, with no waiting around for the basics and staff who genuinely seemed to care that we were enjoying ourselves. The vibe was quiet and cool, a welcome break from the heat outside. Comfortable seating, easy energy, and plenty of space to relax made it feel like the kind of place you can return to often. I went with one of my kids, and while I think the younger crowd may appreciate it more than older teens or adults accustomed to NYC pizza standards, it's a great family-friendly option with food that's clearly made with care. Final take: Fiamma is a strong choice for lunch or a casual dinner in Westfield. We'll definitely be back.

Went for the lunch special - a deal that can't be beat! Great value and great pizza. The vodka pie (with added chicken cutlet) was fantastic - well cooked and great flavor. Also got the Sorrentina which was a great choice too. Service was good but took longer than expected to get our food. Large group came in at the same time though and I think we all ordered at once. Would definitely return for the lunch special!

It's a 3.5 star pizzeria. Flop 1.0 / 5.0 Sauce 3.0 / 5.0 Cheese 3.5 / 5.0 Crust 5.0 / 5.0 Didn't taste any wood fire on the pie. It was under cooked. Needs more cheese. I don't eat crust but tried this for my review. Delicious. Had high expectations. $25 for one pie. Was recommended by my Lexus service guy from Mountainside. Said his buddy owns the place. I wanted to give a high review. Support local and small businesses.

Wood fired pizza can be the best. Our takeout plain cheese was good, but a tad too burnt on too many parts of the bottom. Alas. This type of cooking technique needs an eagle eye but for $22 I don't want so much black and burnt. Pie was ready when server said. Place was empty at 4:30 pm, which made my desire for a perfect pie higher...since mine had been only one in oven. It is a cute spot. Overall flavor of sauce and cheese good. Will give it another try before a final decision.

Delicious wood fired pizza, and a popular local favorite in Westfield downtown for both takeout and dining in. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, but they also open up a few tables outdoors when the weather is nice out. Everything on the menu (pizzas, salads, pastas) are great for sharing family-style. The pizza here is the star and has a chewy yet crispy crust. My favorite dish is probably the Rucola pizza, but everything we've tried here has been tasty. I'm curious about their "Original Wood Fired Tomato Pie" and will definitely have to try it next time!

Big portions, pesto & cheese pizza are both good, not too salty or sweet. Bolognese rigatoni is good. Got these dishes as lunch specials, with canned Coke & Caesar salad. Attentive wait staff. Various seating. Cool red huge oven, street parking only.

I accidently wrote this review on another location, this is the review for here. Another friday pizza night! I just want to mention it's a challenge to review a place when ordering to go. My son chose the large original wood fired tomato pie, topped with pepperoni. Yes, today was a snowy cold day, so I didn't expect my food to be hot or anything. They were not far from me, but when the pizza arrived, it was ice cold. I was a bit surprised, but once again, nothing an air fryer can't fix. We were also surprised at how big the pepperoni was. We loved that! The pepperoni was delicious. The overall pizza was flavorful. The tomato sauce was more on the sweet side, which i prefer. I wasn't a huge fan of the crust. Even after the air fryer, it was still soft and soggy. The crust didn't have much flavor either. I'm not a pizza expert (I'm from California), but with trying different pizzas lately, I can now see the difference in certain pies. There was a variety of pizzas, so I definitely think we will be ordering again to try it out.

Fiamma was a solid experience! My friend and I met here on a weekday evening, and it was a good time. We were seated pretty quickly since we beat the dinner rush by a few minutes, but the tables were so packed in we were bumping into the other tables and customers around us. The service was quick and efficient, and we got our large pesto pie to share fairly quickly. It was piping hot, and had a smoky tinge from the wood-fired oven. The bottom was crispy, just the way I like it! The pizza itself was pretty good, but kind of lacking in pesto for my taste, as the flavor didn't come through that strongly. The prices were fair, and my half lasted me two meals - the leftovers reheated well in the air fryer!

Good service, very nice waitstaff, great food, a bit small but not cramped. Great little pizzeria, would happily come again.

Stopped by for lunch with my boyfriend and shared the Sorrentina. Really loved the pizza, such great flavors! We were both really impressed. Our server was friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back!

We decided it was worth the gamble, and boy did we hit the jackpot. We loved the BYOB option, proudly flaunting local beers while most tables had a bougie bin of ice helping to chill their wines. As we sipped on our own version of bubbly, we started with a couple of delicious appetizers - meatballs and fried burrata. While both were great, the meatballs were the clear winner, served hot in a small cast iron skillet. Moving to the main course, the pasta ragu was another hit. It had a bit of a peppery undertone, but wasn't spicy, just a wonderful blend of spices that gave it a unique flavor. For dessert, I had an apple-based dish that was a special that night. While again another creative showing, I think I'd stick to some of the simpler options on the menu (like a Caramelized banana split - YES PLEASE)

Lupa is located in a section of Berkely Heights that has seen a lot of recent construction, so it is very pretty and clean. You couldn't be blamed if you bypassed the restaurant. It is not very flashy looking and that is part of its charm. Be warned, there are not a lot of parking spaces behind the restaurant so you may wind up parking in the bank parking lot next to it (when the bank is closed of course). The staff at Lupa is super friendly and treats you like a regular even if this is your first time. The host was super nice, the waitress fantastic and the chef even came to our table to talk to us when we were done eating! The interior is very clean and modern looking. It's elegant and perfect for virtually any event including dates, anniversaries and family get togethers. We wound up sitting in the same area as the bar, which mostly has 2-4 seater tables and of course you can sit at the bar as well. The other side of the restaurant is where the larger tables are located. Here's a rundown of what we had: CLAMS ON TOAST Baby clams. crispy ham. thyme When I ordered this, I expected to see slices of toast with crispy ham and baby clams on top. Chimichurri The steak was beautifully cooked (we had it medium rare) and the chimichurri sauce was great. However, the steak needed a bit more salt (and I'm not usually one to add salt to food). The pomme frites were wonderfully crispy and tasty. BROCCOLI RABE lemon. Kilos Broccoli rabe is a simple side dish but it is one of my favorites. It is also one that can easily be overcooked.
