I had a very bad service experience. I had 65K miles on my F-150, and a grinding in the driver wheel at low speeds. So, I scheduled appt for brake service, which they gave on Friday for Monday. I thought, that's great. But no...that appt was just to speak to the advisor, it turns out. You then enter the queue for diagnostic, and then another queue for service. Ok, fine, whatever, I'm here, so let's go. The advisor proceeds to tell me, "this will be very expensive." I said, um....compared to what, another dealer? What do you mean? She says, "listen, this is my opinion, but definitely over $650, and that is a lot for me. Maybe not for you, but this is my opinion." Ok, are you suggesting I go somewhere else? She says "that is up to you to research, but I think this is a lot of money." I never said it wasn't, but I don't even have a diagnosis yet. So, after 2 hours, and no diagnosis, I seek her out and ask for an update. Mind you, I haven't bothered anybody once this entire time. It isn't done yet. I ask, well what was the point of the appt, if I am waiting for 2 hours? She says, "That appt was just to take to me. I have been doing this for 10 years, and you have never been here, and this is how it works." OK, no need for attitude, but fine. She is at the screen and lo and behold the quote was there after all. This isn't going well so I ask her 3 times if there is a supervisor with which I can speak, mainly to know how much longer this will be and we just aren't connecting. She says, "I am your advisor, I make the rules, and I am the only you speak with." Ok. I ask for the diagnostic, and she proceeds to summarize things on her screen and tell me what I do or don't need. I didn't really think that was her place and I ask for the printout, or quote. She refuses. Rather, she shows me her screen, but says don't turn it any further. I am on the other side of her desk. OK. As I ask about the lines on the screen, the price clearly states $120 per hour for labor. Now, here is the best part, she says, "But I am not going to give you that price. I am going to charge you $200." What? At this point, I ask to speak to a supervisor, who has a sign on his desk, called "Chaos Controller." That should tell all you need to know, why would they need that? But bfore I get there, she tells me, "you don't want to speak with me because I am a woman." I told her, stop right there, you are out of line and I am not speaking further. I spoke with the "Chaos Controller" who just gave me a blank stare and could only say, "she couldn't have said that, she hasn't worked here for 10 years." Really? I asked him why you have one price but I am told I will be charge another. He says, "we just haven't updated our system." I told him, please just give me my car back and let's go our separate ways. Thankfully, he was helpful and he went and go the car and I got it back without further ado. The service advisor was incredibly blunt, rude, and incredibly judgemental and I don't know why. I would never go back there. read more
