Their verbal promises bear zero resemblance to what they put in the written paperwork. Make sure to use an AI reader or scrupulously review every single document before signing anything, because what they state out loud is a complete lie compared to what is hidden in the fine print. Here is just a sample of the deceit I experienced: Tire Package Deception: The sales representative explicitly swore to me that the tires on the vehicle were not run-flats. They are, in fact, run-flats. The entire explanation of the tire package was completely misleading. Classic Bait-and-Switch: They ran an advertisement promising $3,000 for trade-ins. Walked into the dealer planning to purchase two vehicles, RX for my mom and GX for myself. They had zero vehicles to show other than one RX in the show room. The sales man gave me a price on a RX but said there weren't anything avilable and advised us he would call me when more vehicles came in. I arrived in 2023 ready to purchase a Lexus RX350 after multiple conversations with sales advisor Jeff Barimah. We had already agreed on the vehicle price, taxes, documentation fee, and even the VIN number of the exact car I would be buying. As far as I knew, all that remained was handing over my money and driving home. Apparently, I had misunderstood the process. When I arrived at the dealership, I was informed that the previously agreed-upon deal would not be honored because Jeff "didn't have authority" to make it. Instead, I was presented with a completely different (and higher) price. It's always exciting when the numbers change after you've already made the trip. The highlight of the experience came when another salesperson, with a memorable Italian accent, attempted to explain why the new deal was somehow better. His presentation materials consisted of several unlabeled numbers scribbled on a piece of paper that was slid across the desk like we were negotiating an international hostage exchange. When I asked what the numbers represented, as there no labels, just a couple scribbled numbers, I received a condescending explanation that they were finance rates and that this new deal was actually cheaper than the one we had already agreed to. There was just one small problem: math. I walked through the calculations step-by-step and demonstrated that the numbers did not, in fact, produce a lower price. To his credit, the paper napkin never argued back. I attempted to speak with another salesperson and management, hoping this was a misunderstanding. Unfortunately, everyone seemed perfectly aligned in supporting the revised pricing strategy. In the end, I purchased my RX350 from another Lexus dealership and couldn't be happier. The experience taught me an important lesson: when a dealer agrees on a price, a VIN, and all the details, that may simply be the opening chapter of the story. If you're looking for a Lexus, I'd recommend shopping elsewhere. Unless, of course, you're a fan of surprise pricing, mystery math, and bait and switches. Deceptive Business Practices; Buyer Beware I don't usually leave reviews of any kind - but in this case, I'd like to add my voice to the chorus of people on this and many other review sites advising you to take your business elsewhere. While searching on cars.com, I saw what seemed like a good deal on Tri-County's site. A used 4Runner advertised as having only 18k miles. I reached out and expressed interest - even made plans to travel to the dealership to complete the transaction. I live out of state and needed to arrange one way airfare and a hotel. Only after airfare and a hotel were purchased did I learn that the actual mileage on the car was 46k, more than double what they advertised. I learned this by running an AutoCheck by the VIN on a friend's advice. I communicated this finding to the Tri-County salesperson and asked him for a photo of the dash of the car. The photo revealed that AutoCheck was correct. I lost money without even doing business with this dealership. And yes, like many others have reported, they said "oh thats an unfortunate discrepancy" and immediately pivoted to try and sell me a different car instead. If this was the only negative review on the internet for this business, I'd be ok saying it was merely a clerical error. My experience is just one more iteration in a pattern employed by this dealership to decieve their customers. Due to their intentionally deceptive business practices. When I arrived, both the salesperson and sales manager claimed they had no idea who I spoke with. That should've been my cue to walk out, but I decided to test drive the car anyway. As expected, when it came time to talk numbers, the sales manager said there was no way they could honor the quote I was given--and to make matters worse, he claimed the sales event only applied to either the down payment match or the 0% financing, not both. The promotion they advertised and emailed was clearly worded in a way that suggested otherwise--anyone with basic reading comprehension could see that. The state determined that their conduct violated consumer protection laws, particularly around misleading lease and finance promotions. We experienced this firsthand--an advertised deal was used to lure us in, only to be replaced by far more expensive terms once we arrived. Even after trying to work things out, the dealership failed to honor the spirit of its own ad. It took multiple complaints to state regulators, and now this matter is going into arbitration. The fact that the dealership (or affiliate) is already under a consent order for similar misconduct should be a major red flag to anyone considering doing business here. If I could give this place a zero I would here's my story. I went to the dealership this morning and looked at a car unfortunately, no one came out to ask me if I needed help so I took a snapshot of the car and went I went home. I looked up the car online. The price was lower than it was at the dealership. I sent a request in for drop lower notification as soon as I hit send I got a phone call from a girl by the name of Nicole and then I sent an email to her. I said I would come and look at the car for 33,000 she called me back immediately and she said she had to speak with her manager ,she came back and said is that 33,000 out the door and I said yes she said if you can be there by 3 o'clock because it's the last day of the month the manager said 33 out the door is good so when I went there, I test drove the car told the gentleman that I already negotiated price. He said oh good we don't have to do that then, after I after I took a test test drive he looked on the computer and said there was no notes to say it was 33,000 out the door I said I have an email saying that I would come look at it for 33,000. He had the manager come over, now the 33,000. They're telling me they can't do it out the door and basically calling me a liar they would do a deal with me for the 33 with taxes and application fees, which was $799 for an application fee when I asked them if they could cut that in half the salesman said no , he then sends his boss over and I spoke to him for a while. He didn't believe that it was 33,000 out the door. He told me he would send his boss over, his boss never came over. He sent the salesman back and said this is the deal it's 33,000 with tax and all other charges which came to almost $37,000.. I was livid I told them this was very unethical practice that this dealership is doing and that I was gonna write a bad review when I told him that he called me back and said a bad review is bad business for them, and that a bad review is only my truth not their truth. That's pretty messed up basically calling me a liar I would not do a deal with these people if they were the last Lexus dealership on Earth. I would've never gone back because my husband's disabled I had to get him dressed and drive back to the dealership for nothing but a bunch of lies And to be called a liar, which I am not. Think twice before doing anything online with this company they also told me the girl Nicole that I spoke to ,because I said to call her ,or go get my salesman.
