We showed up early around 11:30 so everything was fresh and hot. I got a hibachi plate, nice and spicy. The food is very good, you can eat well here without feeling heavy. It's not greasy like other buffets. The fried fish is perfect, there's cold shrimp, baked fish, an excellent salad bar with strange little pink deserts that taste like clouds. I did not care for the hot and sour sou, too thick. In this economy this place is an oasis of value and good flavor. The staff is very friendly too. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did read more

Today I ordered crab Rangoon chicken fingers egg rolls and egg foo young The crab Rangoon tasted ok but extremely small bite size if you will The chicken fingers well I would have been better getting nuggets from McDonald's all batter no chicken The egg rolls were so small matching the size of the Rangoon The egg foo young was just gross The "gravy" was burnt soy sauce and the patty was an over cooked scrambled egg So needless to say I am still looking for a place that has hood food along with quality and quantity. My family and I visited here for dinner this past weekend. We didn't have high expectations whatsoever, considering it's a buffet, but decided to go for it. The waitresses were quick to bring drinks. The food could've been a lot better. Food courts in the mall have far better Chinese than this place. Lastly, and it was a total bummer that the ice cream machine was broken. Went there a couple weeks ago. The girl sat us on an unfamiliar side of the place. It was hot...like not enough a.c. She never said a word to us. We got 2 lunch buffets and 2 waters. When we paid the bill on our card and left...we made the mistake of not taking the slip. While viewing our bank statement, we saw a charge of $41 and change we paid . Lunch buffets are $12.99 each . I went in not expecting much however I was really pleasantly surprised with the quality of many of the American-Chinese food dishes as the beef and chicken dishes plus the mushrooms and other veggie dishes were cooked extremely well for a buffet. The Chinese restaurants always seem to make Southern Fried chicken crunchier and larger portions compared to anything The Colonel has ever put out. Service was excellent and the best was the soft serve ice cream as it was the creamy soft serve like McDonalds, not like the water ice cream other locations may serve. I wasn't sure about this place with the mixed reviews but gave it a shot. The name is a little deceiving but it is a Chinese buffet with a few American dishes, The place is a little discombobulated and cut up weird but service is friendly. Hot tea is served in a pot with normal mugs, not Chinese tea cups but is hot and adequately strong. All of the dishes are pretty typical of a buffet and are hot and frequently replenished. The hibachi station has a lot to choose from and is a normal grill as opposed to the type where the guy cooks with what looks like pool cues. The ice cream machine after is a nice touch. read more

Honestly you can't beat the volume of food at a $12 price point for dinner. I like their hibachi bar a lot. The guy always does a good job flavoring my noodle. Some of the station is useless to me...such as the American cuisine section...but it's easy enough just to skip them since there are enough other choices to fill me up. Waiting staff are attentive. They refill the drinks quickly and empty plates never sat on my table more than couple minutes after I eat my food. Only thing I don't like is the size of their booth. Seems to be very tight. The food here ranged from decent to good, but the service really left something to be desired. They do not have enough waitstaff, so we waited probably 30min for our drinks. The waiter took our drink order twice, and still got it wrong. We also had to inquire about forks and straws, as none were provided. I don't blame the waiter though, it was incredibly busy and, like I mentioned, they need to hire more waitstaff. The poor guy was busting his butt, so he got a nice tip regardless. This restaurant has the worst service I had a birthday party for 23 they only had two people serving the food from the buffet it took entirely too long. The buffet was half empty when they knew they had the big party of 23 people in restaurant getting ready to eat. When they brought my birthday cake out from the back they had taken the candles and put them in the middle of the heart that said happy birthday grandma we love you the candles were in the middle of the heart completely covering the word grandma. Not like a Chinese restaurant or even a seafood restaurant which both have distinct fragrances but generally not unpleasant but something else altogether yucky. This review is an addendum. I went here for the second time it was even more mentaler than the first time. Once again, the crawdads were plump n' scrump. The steamed salmon filets were supra-unicorn. Flaky n' cooked to perfection, bro. I can't over emphasize the "rip-off-ness" of "fancy/seafood" restaurants (like Legal Seafood) that charge 26 dollars or thereabouts for a puny AF salmon (or fish) filet that comes with some krappy-ass mash potatoes and green beans or whatever. It sux. It's just a waste of money and it makes a clown of the consumer. (I have officially boycotted fish entrees from most any restaurant). If you want great salmon come to Festivus Buffet and eat a two-foot slab for 12 dollars plus load up on hibachi stuff and bottomless sides and roast beast and egg rolls and mussels and, and, and... and whatever TF you want. I've been there twice. There is a wide variety of foods. The prices are very cheap for a buffet and the food choices are what you would see at more expensive buffets donuts great for the area. The waitress' were quick even during dinner when it was very busy. Plates cleaned off tables fast and the waitress kept making my son laugh when he was being a little fussy. I mean they have Chinese food , Japanese habachi and sushi , lots of seafood , Italian food. Dinner def. has much more options for food and desserts. What's also cool is they have buffet Togo so you get a Togo carton fill with whatever you want and they weigh it for the price but you can put whatever you want as much as you want into it. The only negative I would say is there dessert selections are limited. What they have taste good but just not a lot of dessert variety. $8 for lunch $12 for dinner heck you can't go wrong. read more

I've tried this place 3-4 times, always via delivery. The food always arrives hot still, it is a good portion for the price and packaged well. However- I have bonidea why I keep trying this place, the food is mediocre at best. Fried rice looks more like Spanish rice but with no flavor, yellow rice with a few onions and a few chunks of pork. General tso claims to be spicy but is actually sweet, crab Rangoon also very bland, lo mein- same, under seasoned. Went to the grand opening, lots of people there. My wife said the food was ok, nothing special. I can't really comment on it because I'm a vegetarian and there is absolutely nothing for me to eat except for white rice. Just wanted to give a little advice, As I said in my review I LOVE this place but be really careful on when you decide to go. If it's dead, They're not bringing out as much fresh food as they would on a busy night. I always check the parking lot before I make my decision on if I'm eating here or not. Chinese food is naturally salty so we REALLY wanted anything - water or soda. I was ready to drink the melted ice from the shrimp area. Our soda order finally arrived with all of our sodas flat because their CO2 was empty. Bill arrived with $2 charge per soda. They clearly do not have enough waitstaff to keep up with the tables. An older Festiva review says they only have white rice. They have fixed that. The chicken dishes are OK but they have small, stringy pieces of chicken. They frequently ran out of food. A few of us went to their mongolian grille and was pleased with the food. The sushi was good but had no labels to know what you were eating. This all might be a learning process for them, but there are too many better choices in the area to return to Festiva. read more

My friend got some meat and potatoes , the meat was way over cooked he didn't finish his plate and didn't go back up for more to try anything else . HIs wife got some Chinese options , she said it wasn't that good . She didn't finish her plate or go up for more . I tried the sushi and an egg roll . I choked it down drinking a hole cup of soda to swallow it and did not go up for more . I looked at both of them and apologized . I'm not a huge fan of Chinese buffets to begin with so I guess I'm not the best person to base it off of. The establishment inside is nice. The service is also nice, friendly, and the waitresses are attentive. The food...is ok. Some decent variety...your usual fried rice, white rice, 8-9 different chicken assortments, crab Rangoon's, spring and egg rolls, and some "American" food options for people (or kids) who don't like the Chinese options, they have a hibachi station (which I didn't try..I just didn't have the patience to stand in the line) and a sushi station. The sushi wasn't my favorite (but it's buffet sushi so...). I really only went because my husband is a fan of buffets and wanted to try it so I went to give it a fair shot. I'm sure I would go back again one day if he really wanted to but it's definitely not a place I would crave or go out of my way to go to. read more
