So i waited until they had them back in stock The next year and bought two of the same variety of rose going by the label attached as it wasnt blooming yet. One died again within a month the other after it bloomed it was obvious that it was miss-tagged and not the same variety. Not even close, colors are wrong very little fragrance wrong flower shape. The next year they didn't carry kordes perfecta variety and still don't. So i have a rose bush i cant stand and never would have purchased and cannot get the variety i want anymore. Each time i go they want cash only and wont give a receipt. So its impossible to get a new plant. Please note i got my maricopa master gardener certification in 2001. And my yard was once on a garden tour... i know how to grow things. So why did 2 of 3 die within 1-2 months? And why are they misstagged? Not happy at all

John welcomed me with a handshake (a real one, not that weak stuff some guys give) and listened to my needs. I showed him the pics of what I needed and he rattled off the names and showed me what they had. For the coral fountain and purple lantana there was a lot to choose from. For the red bird of paradise (15 gal) there was only one up front and it wasn't a 10/10. He offered to take me in the back to look at others but I was in a time crunch. He went back, grabbed a beautiful specimen, and was back up front with it next to my truck before I paid. Awesome service from all (esp John) and I think their prices are better than the big box stores. I'll be back, thanks guys!

When I came in and told her what I wanted she tried ringing it up right away. I let her know I wanted to pick it out. The gal up front greated me and was nice. So was the gal whe sweet gal who took me to the plants but didn't speak much English. We managed just fine working together. This is a place you go to do business at, but you won't get that warm fuzzy personable experience which is totally fine with me. Their Ocotillos weren't what I was looking for so I was on my way. Still worth checking out if ever looking for desert or tropical plants. Many are under shade but still get sun. Just think of where you'll be planting it verses how they are growing it and you should be fine. They are very busy.

We were very excited to purchase our two Pygmy palms. Implantation was June 3. After a few days…read morewe noticed the trunk of one of the palms was leaning very far over, and there was fibrous root material exposed above the ground. On June 6, both I and my husband (who was out of town at the time) spoke with the salesman at Moon Valley Nursery. I indicated my concern and provided him with pictures and told him one of the trunks was very wobbly and leaning at such an angle that it was almost parallel to the ground. He told me that it looked normal and they could come out and put additional mulch on it. He said the wobbliness was normal as the roots hadn't taken hold. I told him the other palm was not wobbly like that and they were planted at the same time. The other palm was doing just fine. I reiterated that it just didn't look right to me. He conferred with his supervisor and told me that his supervisor also said it was fine and looked normal. I felt reluctance on their part to come out to inspect it. There are also many palms in my neighborhood, none of which looked like this. Including my other palm. Midway into the next week my husband was in the yard and a landscaper stopped his truck and approached my husband, commenting that there was something wrong with the palm. He said he was familiar with them, having planted many, and it didn't look well. We phoned Moon Valley again and waited for a return call at which time we relayed this conversation and said someone needed to come out and take a look at the palm. This was on a Friday--nine days post-implantation. Our salesman said that a supervisor would reach out to--most likely Monday and schedule a visit. Monday came with no call. When we followed up, the story changed and we were told someone would contact us to "get us on a schedule." We were having other work done and opted to replace it the third week of June. We were given the name and number of the district manager and left a message for a callback. On June 18 (next day), he phoned us back and we shared our experience with him. He was very apologetic for the service we received and gave us the store manager's name, said he was going to note our account and take care of us. At that point, I asked for clarification on what "take care of us" meant. He said he would be having the manager refund us for the palm. On June 19, we finally got an email that we were on the schedule for someone to inspect the palm on June 25. We did not respond as we were waiting for a call from the manager and planned to address that inspection with her at that time. I followed up with the nursery on the June 22. The manager was off that day however, the man I spoke with said he would see about getting our refund processed that day. I asked for a call back to confirm it was in process. As you can probably guess, there was no call back. On the morning of the June 24, I phoned the nursery again. I asked if the manager was in. The woman who came to the phone was not the manager, and said they would provide an in-house credit. I told her that is not what the district manager told me would be happening; that I was specifically told I would get a refund for that palm. She told me that is not their store policy at which point I told her that she needed to follow up with the district manager that I spoke with, and that it was supposed to have been noted on my account that it was a refund, not a credit. I asked her to look confirm and call me back. At that point, we also left a message for the district manager to look into it on his end. No response from either the nursery or the district manager. Today, the 25th, we have texted the district manager to follow up, and phoned the nursery yet again. This time we have asked for the manager herself to phone us back. I have over 40 years in the financial and member services industry. I recognize great customer service when I receive it. There is definitely room for improvement from this company. The whole situation with the palm has caused no small amount of stress. I am hopeful that the refund will happen. I know that bad reviews travel further than good ones. If this is resolved to my satisfaction, I'm happy to edit this in the near future; for now I remain extremely disappointed and would not recommend this company.

Unfortunately, that is not what I received. During the removal process, multiple irrigation and sprinkler issues occurred that required several return visits to correct. While Moon Valley ultimately repaired the damage, these were problems that should not have occurred in the first place. The project resulted in weeks of follow-up, repeated appointments, and significant time spent trying to get the work corrected. What was most disappointing was the customer service. Communication was inconsistent, I frequently had to follow up for updates, and I did not feel my concerns were taken seriously. Even after filing a BBB complaint detailing my experience, the response focused only on the fact that repairs were completed and did not address my concerns about the quality of the original workmanship or the overall customer experience. I paid a premium price expecting professional service from start to finish. Instead, I experienced avoidable issues, repeated corrective visits, and a great deal of inconvenience. Although the damage was eventually repaired, I do not believe the quality of the service I received justified the price I paid. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Moon Valley Nurseries.

That works until it doesn't -- and when you need a tool right NOW, a short drive beats overnight delivery. Be aware if you're buying Gatorade there, prices of $8.98 per case. Be careful, because a case isn't what you see enclosed in cardboard (24 bottles): a case is 8 bottles, and there are three sets of 8-bottle packs in the cardboard pack. Deceptive... In this case, I didn't care about the prices because our local fire department stopped a brush fire from burning down my house the day before, and as they were still hard at work, we bought 96 bottles of Gatorade, packed them in shaved ice and delivered them ice-cold to the county, city, and state crews working to save our town.
