Was told someone would be right out, 45 mins later I called back and was told the plumber would contact me right away to let me know ETA. They never came or called, and this morning they called to see if I still needed plumber. What if my basement is filled with sewage because you didn't come? They blamed it on a third party answering service, as if I as a homeowner care why. Failed to take responsibility. Apparently it's all about their money and not your plumbing. read more

Amazing same day service right after a major storm 7/15/24. I called at 1130am and spoke to a dispatcher (maybe the wife or daughter of the owner?) and Bill showed up at 12:30. He accessed the situation with my failed Zoeller sump pump from 2017. He had a replacement one on his truck and installed the new one. He was finished in 1.5 hours. I highly recommend this company. As a side note they were the original installer of my water heater and sump pump when the custom home was built in 2007. We had some water backing up into our basement from our sewer drain. We had Ferrari come out and they told us it would be a minimum of $750, up to $1500, just to rod out the sewer line. That is triple what we were quoted from others. We had another company out the next day and they took care of it for $265. Beware of price gouging!! read more

Reason for plumbing: Shower is not draining. While you are here, can you please also look at 2 toilets as they are clogging once a week typically (although not currently clogged at time of service). First day of service: 1. Power Rod Shower = $353 2. Auger first toilet = $175 3. Replace first toilet flush valve = $125 4. Auger second toilet = $175 5. Replace second toilet flush valve = $151 Outcome = Shower is fixed. I am still having same problems with toilet. I call to reschedule service explaining toilets are still clogging regularly and first fix did not work. Second day of service: 1. We've used Wes several times for all different types of projects and issues... a busted water pipe, water heater and pump replacement, and to fix a bad disposal installation. He's responsive, trustworthy, and explains everything that's going on and what's the best approach to fix it. Do not call Ferrari if you want the easiest fix on the cheap. Wes charges more, but I wouldn't call anyone else. I've dealt with some botched plumbing by the previous homeowners of my home, and the headaches aren't worth saving a few bucks! read more

We have had 2 problems fixed by Ferrari since May. First problem was our garbage disposer quit working. Me being the cheapskate who hoarded my vacation days, I just worked around it. I went out if town and hubby had to deal with it for several days in a row and called Ferrari. A new disposal was installed and he was given thorough instructions on what NOT to put in the disposal. Since this year is the year of stuff breaking, we also called Ferrari about our shower drain not draining. I tried the gadget for pulling out hair as well as several YouTube remedies before hubby made the call (do you see a theme here?). Anyway they had a good appointment time and came out and were able to fix it without too much trauma. Since we have been in this house, Ferrari has put in a new hot water heater, new garbage disposal, new shower fixtures and repaired our shower drain. The service is great! Since we just got a new roof this year, I hope there are no more visits for awhile, but if something breaks the number is in my contacts! read more

Would not recommend. Way, way too expensive. Came in and put in a kitchen faucet (that I owned) and charged over $1300. Then on top of it left my dishwasher not working. When asked about it was informed they would have to pull dishwasher out and put in new hose. Huh??? My dishwasher worked fine until they worked on the faucet. We found a wet spot in our basement over the weekend and called as they advertise they are a 24 hour company and had weekend hours. 2 Men arrived shortly after, we tried to be upfront with the dispatcher to get an estimate on pricing for the service call and they were incredibly wishy-washy and wouldn't give us a price upfront -- issue one. Issue 2 they tried to charge us $650 for a less than 1 hour service call where they repaired NOTHING and did not diagnose the issue/where the leak was coming from! Read that again -- $650 for a less than hour call, nothing fixed and no clear diagnose on the issue! When we pushed back the guy said something scummy like 'well what's it worth then to you' like they knew they tried to overcharge us and we were able to talk it down to $200 but the whole thing was such poor business practice. Wes came over & informed me that it'd be $95 for diagnosis & $495 to replace the thermo-couple unit (after telling me that I could get a new 75G water heater from him for $2500!!! Check out Home Depot....75G water heaters don't cost nearly that price!). I ended up paying nearly $600 for less than 1 hour of labor & less than $50 worth of parts...very expensive to do business with Ferrari plumbing - I will not be returning. read more

I have a Rheem water heater and needed the sensor changed. The sensor can be purchased on Amazon for twenty-five dollars. Wes told me it cost him fifty-dollars, but of course he didn't provide a receipt. Turns out the number of flashes on the valve indicates what could be wrong. Here's how it works -count the number of flashes in between pauses and refer to the plate on the heater (located on the side) which describes problems per flashes. I literally observed Wes read the plate, so I believe he knew what the problem was immediately or had a very good idea as to what went wrong. He charged one hundred and ninety dollars for "trouble shooting" and an additional three hundred and fifty dollars to replace the sensor (a total of 540.00!!!!!). BTW, replacing the sensor took less than five minutes. He said it cost 350.00 because he charges by the hour, so that includes the time he spent purchasing the sensor and installing it. Keep in mind none of this was explained in advance. He said he thought the problem might be the sensor or valve (after leaving for about twenty minutes) and LABOR for the sensor would be 350.00 and the valve 740.00, if needed. Again, no mention about charging by the hour. To that end, he could have said I charge by the hour and this is the amount of time I estimate it will take to complete this job. Therefore, this is your estimated cost. Let me also mention he spent an insurmountable amount of time talking to my wife and I about things that were completely unrelated to his job for which he charged us (remember, he charges by the hour). This isn't how you treat people. I would never recommend this company. There is a lot more to this story, but I'll end it here. UPDATE: Linda F. I read your response and I 100% agree there are two sides to a coin. Are you saying that you didn't advise me to talk to the technician about the costs? Did you not tell me you would send an itemized list of your cost on Tuesday though the tech was at our home 8/6/21?????? Was the final price not 540.00 (we used a "coupon" from the website to lower the costs)??? If I knew you charged by the hour why would I call to find out what it would cost to replace the sensor? Did I not ask you specifically what your costs were to replace a sensor? I have no time for you or your business. However, I'll leave you with this: "you reap what you sow". The universe has a strange way of making people accountable. To all others: before employing a plumber of any kind do your research. My hot water heater broke and needed to be replaced after looking at a few reviews and calling a few places I ended up calling Ferrari. I really wanted to give this place a good review (especially after seeing all the good reviews) but after they came I just couldn't. Good -The woman I spoke to on the phone was rather friendly -They were able to get me in relatively quickly within an hour of calling. -The prices were all in this binder so the base prices were all laid out but then there were the "extras"... The not so good -The person they sent me his name was Wes he wasn't mean but I wouldn't classify him as nice/friendly...I am not sure but he had a very hard time speaking English to the point where I got tired of asking him anything because anything I asked him he didn't answer or her answered something completely different. -I also wanted a more energy efficient water heater(basically I wanted options)...they have one choice and only one choice and when I asked Wes about options he didn't seem to understand or either ignored my request and he was only going to put the water heater that was in his truck...nothing more end of story...don't ask any more question. -Wes also tried to upsell me on these parts needed for the water heater that were not included but were extra...I was already speeding about $1600 in one pop...really? Now you are going to nickel and dime for everything you can get? JERK. -When everything was done Wes told me all this stuff was wrong with other plumbing in my house...I'm not sure what tactic it was but I was disgusted by it. If I had listened to him I might as well burned down the house and started over...everything was in need of replacement. -I asked him if he would be taking my old water heater away and he said yeah I have a man who comes and takes it away. I assumed it would be another person from Ferrari the guy came that was a junk metal picker-like the guys who go through your neighborhood on garbage day and pick through your garbage looking for metal to resell -The guy was just ghetto. I was a little leery but the man came in my house and took my old water heater away. The more I thought about it -it bugged me this random guy came to my door...so I called the company and I asked if the guy was one of their employees the woman answered no-which meant that he was not bonded or insured so if the garbage hauler guy had damaged anything in my house I would have be out of luck. -When Wes was moving my new water heater in and taking my old one out he placed the old one on the ground without anything under it and now there is a huge rust ring on my basement floor. :( -I guess Angie's List is a huge thing for many service oriented companies unfortunately he showed me one from a few years ago nothing recent. -A few days later I was in my basement and I was moving some things around and I notice everywhere Wes had placed several black and white Ferrari stickers everywhere...on the walls on the pumps anything that was related to plumbing things it was on the wall or the actual equipment...I thought it was tacky and annoying...honestly he should have asked or just left it to the one he place on the water heater. Overall yes my new water heater does work. When I called to comment about some issues afterward the woman on the phone was very nice (she was the same one who made the appointment) and understanding (honestly she is the reason I gave 3 stars if she hadn't spoken to me in the manner she did the rating would have been lower). Would I call them again in a non emergency situation no probably not...if they were the only plumber to come in a emergency situation probably because they came quickly...but between the random guy that came to my house to dispose of the old equipment and Wes's not so much customer service and the huge rust stain on my floor I just couldn't recommend them for all my plumbing needs. I think the woman on the phone should teach some customer service techniques to her fellow employees. I wasn't able to be at the property (a rental) when they were going to show but I really needed the work done that day. I took a leap f faith and left the front door key in the mailbox. The plumber called when he arrived, called again with an estimate, then called when the work was complete. When I arrived at the property and checked his work I could not have been more impressed. Our sewer main backed up and left an awful mess. A quick search on Yelp provided me with a list of possible choices, including a few with good reviews. Sometimes 5-star reviews leave me suspect, but Ferrari more than lived up to their other good reviews. I scheduled an appointment for 6-8pm, after work, and was pleasantly surprised when the operator called to let me know they had an opening at 5:00 pm, if I could make it home. The tech, Wes, showed up right at 5:00 and went straight to work. He assessed the situation, gave us an estimate and began working at once. We have a 60-year old house and the sewer hadn't been rodded in the 12 years we'd lived there. About an hour and a half later (there were some stubborn clean out covers that needed opening) Wes was done and we were confident the problem was solved, for now. Small tree roots came out of the sewer, but Wes gave us some tips to combat the roots, at least for a while longer. We would highly recommend Ferrari to our neighbors and friends. read more

I replaced my old water heaters with two new Rheem 38,000 BTU Prog40-38N RH59 models on 11-03-2014. POSITIVE: Immediate response to request. Technician Wes was at door in 2 hours. He was knowledgeable and professional. He explained his work clearly with good suggestions. The job was done well in a couple of hours. NEGATIVE: The quoted price for each is $1190, which is substantially above market. Also the service call fee of $150 is not waived which was a surprise (though I did get a discount). Overall, Ferrari provides excellent customer service and workmanship. It is a good choice if you value timeliness, reliability and quality over competitive pricing. read more

Ferrari came out to my elderly parents home at their request. They are not in the position to understand what type of work would be needed. It turned out they had a leaky valve in their shower. The cost to repair was approximately $2,000. I was told that the part was not standard, though the shower was installed five years earlier. I am still perplexed by a that answer. I was also told by their caregivers that three plumbers were on hand. Net/Net - I am disappointed with the answers to the work that was performed and the eventual cost. Upside?
