You think after overcharging me so much, they could have done a decent job but they left soldering debris all over my basement, used my buckets and left solder all over those as well. Absolutely awful, never again! After $1300 of repairs/diagnostic (?!) I paid in the past 1.5 yrs, they told me to just replace my sump pump system completely. They put in the wrong battery last year and could not troubleshoot the problem with inverter twice. Gave me an outrageous quote for a system replacement. When complained about the process was never called back by the technician. Needless to say, went with another company with the replacement for ~60% of their estimate for an equivalent system. Stay away, you will overpay for bad services! read more

Condo Association hired them to fix a leak from above my bathroom. They "fixed" it by cutting joist and framing because it was "in their way". Never obtained the permit and a week later its leaking again in the same spot. Their staff is not all licensed plumbers, be cautious. They announced when the came that they will be working all day. Had Lifeline out to install a new furnace, A/C, and duct work in our office. I've used them many times in the past as well. They always have a real person answer the phone, are quick and courteous in setting up an appointment, and they did great work. Edgar, the tech they sent out, was knowledgeable and helped answer my questions about the system and how it worked. We got it all set up and working without issue. He was friendly, helpful, and made me feel comfortable the system was what I needed and worked properly. Just had a great experience with Phil from Lifeline Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling. Phil is a highly-skilled plumber and walked us through what we needed step by step and made sure that we were educated about how to maintain our new garbage disposal. He was respectful and kind and checked every other plumbing issue we had and completed our routine furnace check. We have been with Lifeline for years and highly recommend their service and products. I am definitely asking for Phil to come to our home when issues arise or just to do routine yearly checks of our heating and cooling. I subscribed to LifeClub where I paid monthly fee for HVAC service. They cancelled service appointments on me several times with very little notice. Most recently, Lifeline cancelled a service appointment I scheduled in June 2024 due to a technician being needed at another job. The job was clearly a more profitable job than my annual AC tune up. They did not show up for the rescheduled appointment. I would not recommend Lifeline as they are not reliable or focused on customer service. read more

I've been with LifeLine for a few years now and recently I just joined the LifeClub membership and since then I have a peace of mind knowing that I really enjoy their services, liked every field service team member I've met and if there is ever a problem they would take good care of me. I've used this company about 4 times for furnace and a couple of times AC tuneup as well as plumbing inspections. The team members in office and out of office are always professional, curteous, friendly and easy to talk to. I had a plumbing inspection done recently and Brandon was patient and friendly. I had a furnace tuneup a couple of months ago and that person was also very throughout too and was the reason I became a member. Dennis, one of the managers also took good care of me one time when there was an issue as well. The only thing I would say is that when you use their services they are pretty keen on engaging you for the LifeClub membership so at times I felt like it was a bit sales oriented and that their quotes and recommendations can seem to be a bit on the higher side. But it is nice to have all the options laid out for you and it is nice to see that being a member does give you some discount. I think the biggest advantage of membership are priority appointments and no fees to come and check out the issue. Over all, I'm a happy customer and will continue to use LifeLine as long as they continue to provide this level of quality service. read more

Five year ago I gave this company a high rating. Since then, the furnace has broken down almost every year. Each time it is my fault, don't change the filter often enough, too much humidity in the room, neglect for not having it serviced every year, etc. Any reason to charge me for EVERYTHING. Last year I signed up for the "membership" as they said this would cover everything. Well, today I had to pay again for the "emergency call" because it was Saturday morning. For crying out loud, seriously??? Saturday morning is not an emergency call. A holiday or Sunday or in the middle of the night I would understand. An my membership didn't get me anything. And on top of injury, the technician was rude and blamed me again and not only did they charge for the emergency visit, they charged me $105 for 10 minutes of work. All he had to do was wipe a sensor clean because there was dust on it. I am cancelling the damn membership and will look for a different company. If you need heating/cooling service, look elsewhere. read more

The company we normally use for servicing our HVAC unit told us we needed a whole new furnace because we had a crack in our heat exchanger. I called Lifeline for a second opinion. Not only was Travis out to my place quickly, but he showed me all of the video of the inside of my furnace, and showed me that such a crack didn't exist. Wow is all that I can say. I made a request on Angi. The following morning I received a call from Abigail. She was amazing she was my guardian angel. God was looking after me on this very day of 2/6. It had been a month that I have been looking for a company that was within my budget to complete the work that B-N-K Plumbing damaged. It was devastating. Me and my family couldn't shower, wash dishes or anything because we had no hot water. Every company I called wanted $3017 or $4000 just to replace my hot water heater. This place was affordable and provided value and quality. No rush they took there time and they cleaned up the mess that B-N-K left behind. Abigail dispatched Nathan to come out and do my estimate within 4 hours of us speaking. The following day Aaron came to install my water heater. He was very excited to help and he was informative. It took him awhile to cleanup everything. The following day Dan, Miguel and Daniel came out to replace the aluminum piping in my HVAC system so that my water heater could easily fit in my small utility closet. I was impressed with the quality of work that they had also completed. That I decided to replace my garbage disposal. My water heater cost and installation as well as the replacement of the aluminum was $2250 what a great price. Lifeline - My New Water Heater - Plumbing Near Me - East Dundee, Illinois

I'm on the fence about how I feel about this place and what went down. When I called on Thursday, I immediately explained that we purchased the house a year ago and there was a leak that the inspector found that was supposedly "repaired". However over the past year there has been this weird wet spot on our baseboard that has been separating the entire time. I told the guy in the phone that I just wanted someone to come and open the wall in my closet behind that area, find out what's leaking, and repair it. He told me it wouldn't be a problem. The plumber would come out, open the wall, find the leak and then quote me to fix it. And many times they are able to fix it same day (awesome!). He tells me however there will be a $39.99 charge to come out and I said not a problem I could handle that. I was given the choice of appt times for Saturday either 8-9am or 10-1am. Being that it was Saturday I chose 10-1. I tend to go to bed around 1 on Friday nights and my husband can be up until around 3am some nights. When Saturday rolls around, 720 in the morning I get a call asking if they can come 8-9 instead. The whole point of me choosing the 10-1 was so I WOULDNT get woken up early. So I tell him well I guess 8 is fine since I'm up now. So I get up, and start cleaning out the entire closet so there will be access to the spot he needs to cut. He shows up around 830, nice guy, I take him to the bathroom and start explaining the issue and showing him the problem baseboard and explain that we are certain that something is going on behind it. He starts saying that we are probably splashing water on it when we shower. I assured him that we were NOT. That was our first assumption 8 months ago when it started so we got splash stoppers on both ends of the tubs and make sure the suction cups on the curtain create an edge where it's nearly impossible to get water outside the tub. We check every time we get out to make sure we haven't splashed anything. He has me run the shower for a while and he takes a look downstairs and in a hole in the closet where we had previously cut (in a different section than I wanted now). In the end he just concluded it was because of humidity and because we splash water on it while showering and he doesn't think anything is leaking. He tells me that maybe I need to call a carpenter to remove the baseboard and see if anything is going on back there. At this point now I'm upset. I told him that I told the guy on the phone that I wanted someone to come and cut the wall and see what's in there because we KNOW something is wrong back there. He says he can cut the wall but then proceeds to tell me that it will be $200. I told him that I told the guy on the phone that that was EXACTLY what I asked for and he told me he could send a plumber, he would cut the wall, find the problem, and there would be a charge for $39.99. The plumber says no it's $200. He calls the guy at the office (Al?) and asks if he told me that and then confirms again to me that it will be $200. I told him I never would have even asked him to come out. This entire experience was a waste of my time to get woken up early and empty my closet out for no reason. I was really excited to have them come out and finally help us with this problem but it turned out to all be for nothing. They didn't charge me the $40 though so that was at least nice. The plumber himself was nice too, I just think there was a large lack of communication and apparently inability to listen when I called and explained what I wanted the first time. I'm sad that I couldn't be part of the people that gave this place 5 stars. read more

Had some clogged up pipes, after a party we had over the weekend. Mike was amazing from the jump. Positive attitude, super detailed in explaining what was going on , how he could resolve it (with Options) explained both options and gave us time to think it through. He made it make sense. Came a few hours then initially told but that was great. We needed it done it was laundry day . His second man Tyler showed up with the heavy duty equipment and got things done. Our toilet in the basement backed-up and flooded part of the bedroom in our basement. We had sewage in our basement, The day before we called another plumber who spent 4 hours at our house and could not figure out how to unclog the major sewage drain pipe. Wanted to get paid and we told him you did not fis=x the problem. So my wife called Lifeline Plumbing and they send Mike there great plumber out right away. He said our main was properly clogged and do we have a clean out. He found 2 clean outs to the sewer in our basement. Also we found out from the realtor we bought the house from that the previous owners had installed another clean out in the front yard. Once we found it with the help of Mike he opened it up and cleaned out what he had to. He then sent a robot through with and camera and all clean. So Lifeline was my first choice the last few years, from plumbing needs to furnace cleaning and repair. Mind you it was 2 yrs since I last used them. Fast forward and I needed two items fixed. A disposal and a hot water replacement. They were my first call both times. I am not sure what changed or if they simply have gotten to big, but when I called for for the water heater replacement, they would not even give me an estimate without sending someone out to take a look at it.. at a service charge cost to me. They would however waive the service fee if I decided to replace with them ... In this day in age, almost every plumber is able to give me an estimate .. and none needed to come to my home to take a look and some asked for me to take pictures so they could quote even more accurately. I went went elsewhere for my two repairs ... probably will not be calling them in the future for any further needs. read more

I am a lifeline member and appreciate that Lifeline calls to schedule an appointment when it is time for an annual HVac, AC, or plumbing check. I am a first time house owner and with a Lifeline membership, I feel like my heating, AC, and plumbing are well taken care of. I originally called Lifeline to install an under the sink water filter but they politely informed me that they were not comfortable drilling holes into my countertop. They did not charge me for the consultation even though they came out to the house to scope out the situation. Their superb customer service is the reason I ended up signed up as a Lifeline member. This past week Brent and Anthony came out for the annual plumbing check. I completely forgot about the appointment but thankfully they called 30 min before hand to remind me that they were coming. They showed up in a timely manner and were extremely polite. They even took time to play with my dog so she was more comfortable with them around the house. They found a few issues with the plumbing and ranked them in importance of needing attention. Some issues they said I could deal with down the road while some issues they suggested I get fixed right away. I appreciated their honestly and input. Whenever interacting with Brent, I feel like he just wants what is best for the house and isn't trying to sell additional unnecessary services to make money. read more

I can't say enough good things about the experience we had with Brent and Anthony from Lifeline Plumbing. We had been dealing with a mystery leak nightmare for nearly a month (and had several other plumbers come and go, leaving quite a bit of damage and no resolution) when we reached out to Lifeline. After explaining our issue over the phone, Brent was immediately recommended as the man for the job. And boy are we grateful for that! They showed up right on time, were extremely polite and nice (even with our puppy jumping all over them), and after we explained what we knew of the mystery leak so far, immediately pulled out a camera to put into the source of the leak - something NONE of the other plumbers did. I knew then that we were in good hands. Ultimately it was very involved and required several days of difficult work to access and resolve the issue, which was behind four feet of brick, but they did it! Brent was extremely patient in explaining everything to us and walking us through the process of getting it fixed. They recommended a terrific company for water mediation as well and had someone come out that same day. After all the work they did, they didn't leave any debris and cleaned everything - it was spotless! We truly believe that no one else would have been able to fix our plumbing issue with as little damage as Brent and Anthony. Beware, the service isn't as good as it seems! The Pros I'd like to discuss are they are always polite and courteous and mostly on time. Now the Cons, and there are many of them. I called them out for several heating and plumbing issues in a home I just bought. The plumber was inexperienced and could not figure out why I was having hot water coming out of my cold water faucet, he couldn't explain the differences between whole home water filters vs under sink models carried on his truck, but was able to handle a garbage disposal install. Beware if they send Jimmy out to your house for HVAC, he is not a repair technician, he is a salesman that dresses in repair technician clothing. The heat in my home is not regulatable, I'm having to turn on and off the AC or heat manually all day long. Instead of figuring out what was wrong with it, Jimmy said it all needed to be torn out and two new systems installed at a cost of $40,000! I knew I was going to be getting a snow job from him when he asked me how many years I wanted to spend in this home. I had them send out a different technician who also did not figure out what was wrong with my heating system and instead said he would get back to me after discussing with others in the shop and never did. They seem to be good at easy to fix problems but are not very good at diagnosing and figuring things out beyond Home Depot DIY level stuff that most handy homeowners can do if they have the time. I never thought I'd be here, five days later, writing another review, yet here we are. We only bought this house about eight months or so ago, and we're slowly replacing and fixing everything that needs replaced or fixed. This morning's issue was the hot water. As in there wasn't any. We knew exactly who to call, since Lifeline came to our rescue last week when there wasn't any heat. Sadly, this fix wasn't as easy as the furnace. Our techs today were Brent B. and Anthony. They were amazing. Brent explained all of our choices to me, and then he did it again when I got my husband on the phone. He gave us time and space to discuss what we wanted to do, and we ended up replacing the water heater, since the part was more than half the cost of actual replacement, and we would have had to pay for overnight shipping, as well. They got the new heater in, and the old heater out, without leaving a single drop of water or scratch or speck of dirt on my clean floors. This is a big deal! They were nice to my four year old. In fact, Brent took the time and effort to not only have a conversation with him, but to try and understand what (speech delayed, hard to understand) he was saying. As the mother of a child who tries so hard to make himself understood, and is often times frustrated with the process and the outcome, that is more appreciated than he probably knew! And again, they were super nice to my dogs and didn't ask that they be locked away. Our air went out and he was here for probably less than an hour - replaced a capacitor and that was it. So professional and did not try to up-sell a new air conditioner. He was great. We contacted Lifeline for a water heater issue and ended up replacing it. They were quick to respond, fast, reliable, and polite. The final job appears well done, making sure that all the connections and valves were up to code. The only minus was that I was charged $205.00 for "difficult access." Yes the area is a little tight but we were never charged extra for this job in the past (also checked with relatives who have a similar situation but was not billed extra either by other plumbers). This additional fee seems rather excessive in my opinion. I recommend you shop around first, if you have time, before committing to them, unless you prefer paying more. Overall, the work was done professionally, but price-wise they are on the higher end. read more

Horrible, They gave us life time of agony. We were never undergone so much agony in lifetime ! They Charged a sump pump and convinced me to take member ship which I graciously accepted and joined. Now see What I got !!! They gave me an appointment for replacing the electric cook top with Gas Cook top on Friday 1 To 4 PM And they called at 4 PM and told that the Electric Cook Top needs to removed by a certified electrician and they reached out with the same information 2 days prior which is a lie. They said they won't do anything until an electrician removes the cooktop, and if he does, then they can come on Friday. I called the electrician and paid him emergency charges and get the work done and called Lifeline back, but now they say they can't make it !!! We almost pleaded him that we have a function the weekend and removed our Cooktop and we want to fix it immediately. No body even damn care us... as if we are beggars... I think we are worse than beggars to lifeline !! I think this is how they treat their customers or at-least treated us like that. We spent the whole day waiting for them and paid additional charges to Electrician and removed everything and waiting waiting like crazy for them; Call Lifeline many times, always the answering service people pick the phone and ask the entire story and say that they passed the information and nothing happens. Now the gentlemen calls at 10:00 PM to say they come on Saturday between 10 AM to 01:00 PM. So we believed them again like the fish believes the fishermen; Now we ruined another day. Nobody comes and no one picks the call. The answering service people asks the same questions and takes all the information and again passes the information !!! no idea to whom and we indulge in frustration and self pity again !!! Never ever in our entire life's we felt so low and deceived from a service provider. Had an issue with our sump pump in basement. Called them Sunday as they had 24hours service. We scheduled them to come out on Monday between 8:00-10:00am and received a phone call Monday morning at 7:45 am stating they would be there at 8:15. Arrived promptly assessed the matter to replace sump pump with battery backup. Provided various options based on our needs. Once reviewed options, they installed. Kept area clean and utilized booties while working in the house/basement. Service, courtesy and professional. 5-stars. read more
