I've got a car full of kids (and I'm doing just a bit over the speed limit), and this guy finds it necessary to lay on his horn, flap his arms, and start yelling obscenities. Eventually, he got around me and continued to ride some other driver's bumper. If this is the kind of hot-headed loose cannon you're going to hire, you're never stepping foot in my house. I'd advise others to be conscious of the same.

Shocked, I then said "well how long do you think it's gonna take?" He said "30 minutes , maybe a little more". I said "so you're charging me $565 for 30 minute job?" He said yes. I said "no". He said "I can knock off $100." I said "no, you can leave"- This was, of course, after they wasted my entire workday because they wouldn't even try to give me an estimate of their arrival time. I then called another company who said that price was ridiculous. Dont waste your time with this company, go with someone else.

I felt very well taken care of through the entire process and would like to shout out Danny who was here for over eight hours troubleshooting and solving the issues with my toilet and sink (services I had done include repairing a completely destroyed collar under my toilet, resealing the toilet, installing a new disposal, installing a new faucet and grit trap, and redoing the plumbing joints for both the toilet and the sink.) The price also includes a warranty in case something breaks again, which offers peace of mind, and the company was diligent with working things out with my building to get me scheduled. So at the end of the day, I do think I paid a premium price but I got the quality of service and peace of mind to match, rather than gambling on a cheaper service (again, I keep thinking about how it was an 8 plus hour job and Danny was working the entire time beyond quick breaks to move his vehicle/retrieve tools). I'm satisfied with the quality of work I received and am happy with my refreshed sink and now functioning toilet.

Fast forward to now, just three weeks later we have a leak worse than before and another company came to tell us the toilet isn't set correctly and we need to have it redone. Our visit from J Blanton was $600+ and now just 3 weeks later we are paying for someone to fix their faulty work. I called their company to see what solutions they had to offer us and was disconnected (hopefully not hung up on) two times. I asked to speak to a manager to discuss my experience and see if there was any other solutions they can offer me to help make me feel like I didn't waste $600+ and they said I'd get a call back. Waiting on that... but will come back to update my review if they can make it right for us. Wouldn't recommend. Give Mendel plumbing a call instead.
