Humberto came out and gave us a very thoughtful evaluation of the enormous overgrown 60+ year old maple tree in a VERY tight spot in our yard, and a quote for removal. He and his crew came out the next week and set to work efficiently and competently to remove it using a crane and other heavy equipment. Humberto came out very quick and gave a very reasonable price to take down a 30 foot blue spruce and a 7 foot evergreen tree. He came out a week later and took everything down on a Sunday. Yesterday, a Sunday-the business was actually closed, as it was Sunday- Fernandez Tree Service answered a desperate call for help!! A kitty was stranded high in a tree, and injured!! While no other community services or tree services could help, Fernandez Tree Service sent out a crew with a basket truck (cherry picker) to rescue the injured kitten from a 30 foot tree, high up in chilly Thatcher Woods!! The kitten was taken to the veterinarian and is now recovering in a foster home. The foster parent named the kitty FERN in honor of her kind and generous rescuers from FERNandez Tree Service!! We have loved all of our previous tree service teams, and we actually do hire a crew about once a year. But from now on, only Fernandez will get my money!!! A+++ QUALITY WORK! This was my experience yesterday when the owner, Elmer Fernandez and his group of six hard-working men arrived at my house to trim trees. Originally, I got a quote from four different companies, but instantly knew that Fernandez Tree Service was THE BEST, starting with their PROFESSIONALISM. Elmer uses a laser pointer to identify where cuts should be made on the trees so there's no second guessing. He also records notes on his hand held I-Pad as he walks the property. He is well-organized, skilled and a delight to be around. Under Elmer's careful direction, his team of men artfully sculpted the trees and then meticulously cleaned the entire property. The crew worked all day and the results were EXCELLENT. And the price was more than fair. Now my neighbors are interested in hiring them. Today was a wonderful day for many cat lovers. Fernandez tree did what others in the city "couldn't " and that saya a lot of their businesses. Integrity and honesty. I watched in horror with the postings of how CFD refused to get the cat who was obviously scared and maimed. Many tried but the cat was too far up in the tree to be rescued. So the poor helpless cat stood there for days while the weather was getting cold and rainy. It was hard to see in stories but imagine what the cat was going through, scared and dehydrated. When neighbors got together they tried to help, others came in and due to social media the word got out! Today is the 5th day and this morning Fernandez Tree came out and offered their services. They are awesome for doing this and please know that so many are now aware of their kindness and karma returns to those who are kind. I will now be using them for tree trimming! On April 6,2024 we received a quote for a tree removal, this was a very large Mulberry tree extending past our 3rd floor apartment and the limbs were in electrical lines. Fernandez Tree Service did a wonderful job removing a huge tree from my teeny tiny Edgewater back yard. The crew included several trucks, including a crane, lift, grinder. They came back a couple of weeks later and ground up the tree stump. Everything surrounding this giant tree remained safe and untouched, from garage, to gate, to wires.
