I need to check and see if I paid to have this camper (2025 Campsite Reserve 26CJ)…read moreprepped/cleaned/etc. Because it wasn't. The sales guy I had acted like my best friend, told me even though this was a used model he'd clean up the outside grill, then in the walk through I found something that resembled duct seal on the floor near the bathroom, and was assured it would be cleaned. It wasn't. Now the Bluetooth system isn't working and their solution is to have me bring it in. Uh, not traveling 4hours back with it to get charged so you can tell me you need to replace the unit and charge me twice what it cost. Plus I talked to Tim at Driven and he's sending me one @20% off. Bottom line, check your boxes if you're going to go through them. I don't and got screwed on some small stuff.

Three and a Half Years of Ownership: Beware My Experience with Jayco and General RV…read moreI purchased a brand-new 2022 Jayco Jay Feather 24RL from General RV in October 2022. Unfortunately, before I even took my first camping trip, it had already been back to the dealership for warranty repairs, including an improperly adjusted entry door, a bathroom pocket door, a defective kitchen outlet, a battery disconnect wired incorrectly, and an improperly applied ceramic coating. After only a few camping trips, the list continued to grow. The A/C ducts had never been properly opened from the factory, the black tank sensors failed, the refrigerator latch wouldn't stay closed, and the battery had to be replaced because of the earlier wiring issue. The more significant issues came next. After driving through rain, the camper leaked, leaving water on the floor. The first time I assumed it was my mistake. When it happened again, a technician immediately found the cause--a missing factory foam seal in the slide-out. The repair took only a few minutes, yet I had previously been warned I might have to pay for water testing on a camper that was only about 18 months old. The thermostat also malfunctioned from nearly day one. General RV inspected it multiple times and told me nothing was wrong, even charging me for inspections. After researching online, I found the actual problem myself: the thermostat sensor had been pushed back inside the return-air cavity during assembly. Pulling the sensor into the living area solved the problem immediately. Within the first year, the slide-out also became extremely noisy. The solution was simply lubrication, but I was still asked to pay because it was considered routine maintenance. Now, after only 3 1/2 years, the gel coat on the front cap is peeling badly. Both Jayco and General RV have declined assistance because the camper is out of warranty, leaving me with a $3,681 repair estimate. Ownership Summary Purchased: October 2022 Major camping trips before recurring issues became apparent: 5 Dealer service visits: 8+ Multiple recurring warranty-related issues Two significant problems ultimately diagnosed and corrected by me Current repair estimate for peeling front cap: $3,681 This is not my first travel trailer. Over the past 20 years I've owned multiple RVs, including another Jayco and a Keystone, and none have required anywhere near this level of service. I maintain my campers carefully, winterize them properly, and take pride in keeping them in excellent condition. These issues were not the result of neglect. I understand that every manufacturer can produce an occasional defective unit. What defines a company is how it stands behind its product. Unfortunately, my experience with both Jayco and General RV has been repeated warranty issues, recurring repairs, multiple trips back to the dealership, charges for issues I believe should have been covered, and having to diagnose some of the problems myself. If this camper had experienced one or two isolated issues, I wouldn't be writing this review. It was the continual pattern of defects, recurring repairs, poor communication, and the lack of accountability that led me to share my experience. Before posting this review, I notified both Jayco and General RV that, if we were unable to reach a satisfactory resolution, I intended to publicly share my ownership experience. Unfortunately, despite giving both companies that opportunity, we were unable to resolve these concerns. I have retained service records, repair invoices, photographs, and repair estimates documenting the issues described above should either company wish to review them. My goal is not simply to criticize, but to provide other prospective buyers with a factual account of my ownership experience so they can make an informed purchasing decision. After more than 20 years of RV ownership, this has been the most disappointing RV ownership experience I have had. I can no longer recommend either Jayco or General RV, and I hope this review helps other buyers make an informed purchasing decision.

Had it winterized today. Dropped off at 130 no appointment 12/1/23. The tech Taylor took a lot of time with us and with our rig and at about 3 took us for a walk thru and one by one addressed all of our concerns. Went into rig with us and made sure we got all questions asked answered. Have an order some minor parts as we're still under warranty so will be back soon. Overall I felt seen heard and understood. All employees were professional. They underpromised and over delivered. Five stars.

We were purchasing…read morea motor coach and after a week of waiting for the dealership we were told to come in on Sunday at 1pm to sign. Come to find out later, this isn't even legal on a Sunday in Michigan. We flew into Detroit and got an Uber to Wixom. The second we walked in and asked for the manager we were dealing with, we were told our guy Jack wasn't even working. We were introduced to who was supposedly the owners son. His first words were that he hoped they could get us out by Monday sometime. He then immediately walked us out to the RV we came to sign for. Once we arrived near it he said "here it is, take your time and have a good time looking at it", and then just walked away. We couldn't believe a dealership would take you to look at a unit that had the windshield seal hanging and not sealing the windshield. There were scratches and defects all around the outside. On the inside pieces of trim were hanging and the decorative mirror in the living room was smashed all over the floor. It was filthy and never looked at by them. We were irate. We then looked at other similar units on the lots and they were disgusting and damaged, and these were displayed for sale! We eventually found an upgrade for another $65,000.00. We went in and worked out a deal and the plan was that it would be put in the shop first thing Monday morning to get ready for us to take home. We were told our walk through would be Monday at 1pm. We were told to go to a hotel and come back tomorrow. At the hotel we were told by the manager that this dealership does this often and there was another couple already here for five days. The dealership was wired $271,000.00 from us previous to arrival and once we upgraded more things we had another $20,000.00 wired to the dealership. We looked at the RV and had our walk through as expected. We were now expecting to leave with it but then they said the $20,000.00 still said pending on their end. We called our bank and our bank said it was transferred and we could see the funds were withdrawn from our account. We were told by the dealership it would have to be tomorrow morning and we were sent to a hotel AGAIN. We called several times on Tuesday and the manager kept saying it still said pending. We were promised no less than 5 times that we'd receive a call back from the manager and their finance people, but guess what, no calls. Now it's Wednesday morning and when we called we got the same old answer that it was pending. So we decided to go shopping next door to the dealership for all the RV bedding and necessities we'd need. We took an Uber to the dealership after shopping and set our many items on the sidewalk while we went in and asked to put all our new items in the RV while we wait for the pending to clear on their end. We were told NO until the last cash transfer of 20k was done pending. They left $600.00 of our stuff sit on the sidewalk and made sure the entire store knew. Keep in mind they already had 271k of our cash and it was fine to purchase $1,500.00 of their store merchandise and have the salesman put it in the unit but not the stuff we purchased next door at AT HOME. All day Wednesday they kept saying still pending. Checked our bank again and they once again said it cleared our bank. Something smells fishy! Woke up Thursday morning (still in the hotel) and called the dealership again! The MANAGER (Jack) told my other half that they didn't have time to take our calls every day and to stop calling! Then I reached out by text because he was avoiding us. I nicely explained to him that I didn't think the way he talked to my other half was needed and definitely wasn't professional. The little weasel didn't have the balls to call me but instead called her and rudely said don't call and that they were done dealing. Dealing? We had a deal Sunday and this was Thursday and we were still in a f****** motel room listening to their lies. During the week's dealings we searched and found another unit at another dealership and headed there right after our lawyer told us to demand our money back immediately. We did and it was amazing that they could manage to move money when an attorney advised it. We spent a ton of time at this dealership during the week's dealings and only saw one satisfied customer leave and he bought a part from the parts department. There is a reason they have one star rating and their staff is the most unprofessional team I've seen in any business. A $290k plus cash (not financed) deal was a joke to these clowns. STAY AWAY AND TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW THAT THIS PLACE IS SHADY!

He said that he could not show it to me as he had someone coming to give him a deposit on it. I told him that I didn't want to drive it home tonight I just wanted to look at it. He insisted that he couldn't show it to me if he had someone coming to give him a deposit as it would not be fair to that person. WHAT A SALES PERSON TO HAVE REPRESENTING YOUR RV. I gave them a $500 deposit and was asked to sign a purchase agreement. When explaining the purchase agreement I was asked to accept their "PDI" charge of $50. He explained that this was equivalent to the $1200 charge that General RV and other RV dealers charge for prep. So I signed the purchase agreement. I was told that the unit would be ready for me to pick up in a "couple of days" and that I could test drive it then. They didn't have it ready for me for two weeks, telling me that the generator needed repair. When I finally did get the call from them to come and get it I took it for my test drive. The motor home was full of rattles and very annoying to drive. I have owned 5 different motor homes, so I am very familiar with the typical rattles and noises that they normally make, but this one was VERY noisy and irritating to drive. So I courteously told them that I was going to pass on buying the motor home, and asked for my deposit to be returned. My deposit request was refused. They told me that I was being charged for the repairs to the generator, even though I had decided not to buy the motor home, and they kept my $500.
