Salesman was good. Finance guy was good. Hence 2 stars. Even though you don't deserve that. After that this place just decided to be a fucking shit show. I was told to come back once a year and they would service our camper. Funny. I went in today and the service included "walking around and checking out tires" that's literally what I was told. Let's take a step back. It took me 3 months and 3+ phone calls to get our license plate from them. We were cancelled on the day we were supposed to pick up. I am now finding out none of the mentioned serving items initially talked about were provided or will be provided. I am beyond disappointed and it seems everyone else is. i drove over a hr for a camper to get it and do the deal . during the entire process i asked multiple questions was told not a problem i needed the ox system switched over and wanted my mattress out of my trade in as it was a new mattress was told ok . fast forward go to pick up my camper asked if the mattress was swapped over salesman said no so i had to go get that myself. also asked about the ox system being transferred that was not done unless i paid for it i said i wanted that done . then i leave and realize i have to temp tag on the camper was told that they would email it to me. that tag expied they sent me another one here i am 3 months after purchase and still have no license plate or title to get plates. i call every day and have yet to recieve a call. called and put a complaint with the customer service at camping workd and that was even a more joke DO NOT BUY FROM HERE worst expieriance ever will not do another one .. if i can give negative nubers i would. read more

I had it checked by another respectable rv dealership and they confirmed what I already knew. My roof was not damaged at all!! I have sealed it every 2 years and kept it covered every winter!! We had a bad experience with a couple other RV dealers but had a great experience with Camping World Chelsea. Our salesperson Colin went out of his way to help us find exactly what we wanted, at the price we wanted and did everything possible to make sure our trade in process went well. The Sales Manager, Alex was also very accommodating and professional. There were a couple paper work hiccups but he made sure we were compensated fairly for our that. We also needed a quick, last minute repair done last summer when we were out west with our prior RV and found a Camping World that was more than helpful to us. Because of the timing, we had to do the repair ourselves but they made sure we had the correct part and were willing to wait for us to arrive just minutes before they closed. We highly recommend Camping World. Our experience has always been very good. read more

We had a wonderful experience at Camping World of Chelsea, MI. We were in the market for a very specific travel trailer, and we had the pleasure to have Michael Blaho as our Sales Representative. We gave Mike our list of must haves and what we did not want, and he put us onto the perfect trailers. Mike listened to our needs and wants and was an extreme pleasure to work with. We did not purchase our travel trailer from this dealership as what we were extremely specific on just did not happen to align with their current inventory. My husband and I did go to several other dealerships including a specific dealership in the same area, of which we were not impressed with at all. Camping World was hands down the BEST experience that we had that day. I would recommend this specific dealership and this particular salesperson, Mike Blaho to anyone who is in the market to purchase any RV. read more

This review is not against the location but against Camping World Corporate. I had to take my RV in for my 90 day checkup after initial purchase. Main repair was the door that had a huge hole in it when I went to pick it up after my purchase. Things happen, no big deal. Well turns out that while waiting for parts my catalytic converter got stolen sitting in their storage. Legally it fell on me to make a claim. Camping World refused to help with the $2,500 deductible. Not $1 of help or accountability. Needless to say, I'll never get another RV from camping world, even if just for being negligent and careless, let alone they care not about their customers, or customer retention. Advice: purchase a magnetic converter alarm that hides underneath the frame, 6 inches from the converter. read more

So after having my RV with a huge leak was checked out by a nother service at much less per hour, come to find out, was the fault of the toilet gaskets, two of them, completely untightened and for water coming into the rv. First thing he did, was go over to the toilet and tightened up two knobs that controlled the water, which I assume would have been covered by Camping World before delivery. So there was a malfuction of the toilet so that it did not contain the water properly. The underebelly was comprimized because location one was not properly adjusted and I received a non=functioning not tightened down toiletthat cause a slow leak. It has been used for two months out of the last 10 months since October. It was not evident at first, and I'm sorry, as a 77 year old single woman I failed to look at the underbelly when I walked to my car. It had to be repaired as well. But I am paying$500 out of my own pocket since Camping World claimed no responsibility. I could not in good faith pass on a good review. I did contact the salesman, originally, w hen I noticed a leak and sent pictures and a note to pass it onto the service area, thinking I had made a good contact to pass on. He did not. I Have a picture of that if anyone wants to see it. They are all abaout selling, not servicing unless you pay the high dollar. Well, my first review against Camping world was not against the location. But now this one is. Originally, when I picked up my RV, the door had a big hole in it, which I was okay with as they were going to fix it. The AC unit was also leaking around the seams. While they were fixing it, the catalytic converter was stolen, and they would not pay for it or help. Finally they did end up paying for some of that. So we are camping, it begins to rain, and water starts leaking in. They did not even test it to see if it was fixed. Not to mention, I began to notice very sloppy work where they made repairs. One guy even left his pair of pliers in the water maintenance hatch. Thanks! So I am not even giving them the chance to fix it again. I am starting new somewhere else. I just want things done right. My husband and I would visit this location before it was sold, we are going to purchase an rv or camper when he retires, we just haven't made a definite decision just yet. So we learned that there was a new owner and we went out there. We were very surprised to find that all of the units were locked up. An older man came outside and kinda yelled asking if he could help us with anything. I told him that we were window shopping for our retirement, and I asked if everything was locked up, he rather gruffly replied that everything was locked up, so I said to my husband that that pretty much took care of our window shopping. He then turned around and went back inside. I found him to be pretty rude, and we surely won't be back. read more

First off the service writer was ok . But other than that my experience was like many others it seems . I called and made an appointment, that was a month out . showed up to the appointment and dropped off . was told it would be a week to get it looked at and get the repair process started. Then it turned into 3 months !!! so I was out of town for three weeks I got a message saying I'll be charged lot rent if not picked up . So I went to go pick it up and upon inspection. There was trim damage missing screws and the window was left open for who knows how long . They kept it and supposedly fixed the trim and other cosmetic concerns . So I went to pick it up and noticed one issue fixed the other theu painted with it looks like a sharpie . the heater cover is on the edge of snapping due to incorrect screws . What a crappy shopping and service experience this place offers. We bought our rig back in May, and it's been nothing but horrible service since then. First, the sales guy we bought from was rude at best, and didn't seem to want to tell us much of anything about what we were buying. When we took delivery, we didn't get a proper walk around, and were told that we could "google all we need to know". So as newbies, we took off with our new camper... which we live in full time... having no clue how anything worked. Our first trip out, we learned that the hot water heater didn't work, and that the camper had not been de winterized (despite being told it was ready to go). When we left that first spot, one of our stabilizing jacks wouldn't go up, and it took us two hours to find someone to tell us how to do it manually. So we dropped our house off at Camping world that night, and the next day we were told the Jack was fine. A month later, the Jack isn't working, and they don't have the motor to fix it, so we will be waiting a month and doing it manually until then. We drove 400 miles to get the work done, and two hours Into our drive, two hours before our appointment, we get a call that the parts aren't in. Then, we bought a second AC from them, had it installed, and it died on the first night. As I write this, we are waiting for another one to be installed. They had the camper for an hour, never called us, and when we called to find out it was done the response was "well we haven't started because we weren't sure what you wanted us to do".... And now we wait another hour and a half for them to do the obvious thing and install the new AC again. Genuinely hate that we are tied to this place, I recommend you buy your RV anywhere else, and avoid this company. Spend more elsewhere, you'll be glad you did. Wish I had. Also, good Sam is useless and a waste of money. read more
