For whatever reason, Detroit has a reputation for being rude, but that has never been our experience, and I've been all over Detroit. They have an unbelievable selection of everything Detroit sports-related, including current apparel because all leagues change their merchandise annually (i.e., Draft hats, City Connect, etc.), older merchandise, and a vast selection of items on sale. I wish more folks would shop local instead of big-chain stores because Fanatics U deserves the business. I found items for the Tigers, Lions, and Red Wings, and all the purchases were cheaper than the chain stores mentioned above, and, of course, than the arenas and stadiums, which are always significantly more expensive. And i know folks like my cousin who always tells me, "I get hats at the stadium because it is my thing." I tell him, "It might be your thing, but it's not made at the stadium. After you've worn it, does it really matter?" For example, he bought the Detroit Lions New Era 2026 Sideline 5950 for $65.00 at the stadium, while Fanatics U sells it for $49.99. Also, they sell autopgranoh photos and other items, which was cool to view, but I'm not really a collector like i have been in the past. I've never been more impressed in a running-focused store. We are committed to Gazelle sports and thank you Margaret! Occasionally I use brick and mortars to physically inspect goods and then bounce online for price comparisons and potential purchase. A long time staple in the community, this store is family owned and usually has whatever you are looking for first. Their reputation of having what other stores don't is true. The carry all sorts of accessories and women's clothing too. I consider this store a part of hip hop history. Stop in and take a look at the pictures if nothing else.

Upon walking in the store, there were few people being helped out. As my child was trying out a varsity jackets in different sizes, Kelly asked us if we needed any help. Kelly was fantastic! She was very helpful, professional and friendly in fitting a jacket that's a right size. Once we selected a jacket size, Kelly walked us thru in what we needed to do (ex. patches, name stitching, etc.) and very clear about next steps and costs involved. We made a deposit towards the jacket and way we went. I can't speak how other customer support members are like at the store, but Kelly was really great and was pleasant to work with.
