Scored a vintage pearl button up, a mood ring and suggestions for some close by happy hours. Thanks!

Going into Dear Golden is like walking into a wearable museum. This is the nicest, classist, most tastefully curated vintage store I've been in. They also started doing more jewelry and home goods too which don't stay around long so I always see something new they have put out. I also like that the owner and Jasmine (love her) are never pushy or walking around trying to up sell me things they know don't fit quite right or don't match my hair. To the contrary, when I need any help they will whisk into the changing room to tie up that corset one more half inch if I give them a little wink. Finally, I love that they are extremely knowledgeable about the historical significance of the clothes and jewelry. They know all the top--and lesser known albeit important--designers of the various periods and they have encyclopedic breadth of why the clothes were designed and worn. With all the nice articles in there, makes me wonder what's in her storage...guess I'll just have to wait and come back soon.

I could spend an entire day here. I wish they were open Monday's as that is my day off but... always come down on weekends when I can. I emailed the owner looking for a dress I had previously tried on in store and she had it available and ready online to purchase immediately! That timing was rare and special! I received it four days later! All the reviews about staff being snobby.... I don't understand at all. My partner and I travel to different shops such as this across the US and collect unique items... there are snobby people but dear golden... they aren't them. People reviewing saying they are, now that sounds snobby. I wish dear golden all the best and can't wait to return.

I also saw a lot of Baggu items, which is a brand that I really like. Lots of stuff I hadn't seen in person before, like the teeny tiny backpacks. They also had a lot of local art, jewelry, cards, candles, and more. It's a great spot for finding a gift for yourself or your favorite gal pals! Unfortunately I was not greeted when I came in nor when I was browsing, which I feel is such a small thing that can really make a difference when shopping. The person at the counter was with another customer, but even just a quick, "hi, welcome in!" can be so nice. That said, I would come back in the future just to check out what they have in stock.

Located in Kerrytown across the street from Detroit Street Filling Station, this woman-owned business is stocked full of so many unique and thoughtfully curated and sourced items. You want to come here for all the most unique and gorgeous looking goodies to gift to yourself and your loved ones and make sure to stop by often as they have a rotating selection of goodies throughout the seasons and months as well! They always have gorgeous window displays, the employees are always so happy to see you and the service is wonderful, and this shop is just so dreamy! Things are definitely on the pricey side here, but everything is really high quality and they feature a ton of local artisans in the area as well. There's nothing I love more than an intentional shop and you can truly feel how intentional Thistle & Bess is in every detail their store contains. Absolutely lovely and always worth a peruse whenever you find yourself in the Ann Arbor area!

Great store, great selection…read more I found this cute little boutique by chance while shopping in Kerrytown. It's located in the marketplace just upstairs from Found, one of my favorite gift shops of all time. This is a store that caters to the consumer that likes a little variety in her wardrobe and elsewhere in her life. Super cute clothes, jewelry and unique gift items. I like the fact that the stock is so varied and not so "cookie cutter." The clothes are amazing, decidedly higher end than typical mall duds. I like that. As with most smaller niche boutiques, V2V seems to only stock a few pieces in each design, so locating a specific size can be tricky. I've asked about certain items that I was interested in if they had more of it, but in a smaller size, in the back, but they usually don't. Bummer. If you're a tinier girl, like myself, it could be a tough go of it because they don't seem to carry many smaller sizes- at least not in the pieces I've desired the most. It seems like every time I think I've found the perfect piece, it's too big. Like I said, bummer. I've found some cute jackets, over sized scarves and tunics here, albeit not as inexpensive as I'd prefer them to be, but they're too cute to quibble so about price. The pieces are, for the most part, eclectic in style and well-made, including items by some designers who specialize in an "ethically conscious" approach to making clothing/jewelry in either sustainable or recycled materials. I love that and can get behind that any day. Like I said, prices aren't that cheap, but you get what you pay for in this universe and I'd rather pay a bit more to have something that I love over something that is just meh if I can do that. Overall, I love the store. Everything is so adorable. The prices are a bit higher end than the mall, but it's hard to find items like this at The Gap, so there's that. They do run sales and other promotions here and there, but as the prices are a bit inflated to begin with, I don't see where the sales are saving me all that much money. Oh well. Aside from clothes, accessories and jewelry, they sell a small line of candles, perfume and other assorted beauty products, etc. The customer service here is fine, but not exactly what I would expect from such a nice boutique. They're friendly enough, though not overly attentive, but that isn't such a big deal because I don't love it when salespeople fawn all over the customer because it comes off as a bit disingenuous.

Terrible customer service. Emailed the store 3 times in the past two weeks still no response.read more

Unlike some of the other reviewers, I've always found the staff helpful and friendly. If you sell clothes here for cash or store credit, They are very selective about what items they accept, but it shows in the quality and brands that you can buy there. You won't be sifting through over-crowded racks of stained and torn clothes here- it's always great quality. I usually find the prices fair and reasonable and have found great scores in their "dollar rack" section. Sure, you might be able to find something brand new and out of season on the clearance rack at Kohl's for a similar price, but buying second hand is about more than saving money! Another huge plus is that you can use your store credit to buy new items as well, they have lots of puzzles and other fun toys and crafting kits.

Hidden away in a strip mall on the far west side of Ann Arbor, Grow With Me is nondescript on the outside but bright and welcoming on the inside. Racks of clothes are organized by age. Clothing for toddlers and the under 10 crowd dominate, but there's also a room dedicated to clothing for teens and tweens. In addition, the store sells a variety of used toys, games and books in excellent condition, as well as a few new items. Another great thing about this place is that they have a table for disseminating information about childhood autism, and some of the proceeds from the shop go to charities related to autism.

I had an…read moreheirloom stone that belonged to my great-grandmother that I wanted to have as the centerpiece of the ring. I had been to a few other jewelers in A2, but the Abra crew were the only ones who didn't try to shame me into buying a newer, larger stone! I was nervous about the full custom design process, as all I had were some examples of details I thought would look nice and some vague memories of what my now-fiancée showed me on Pinterest. However, Amanda was wonderful to work with on the design and did a very good job at turning my ideas into a detailed sketch. Natalie did an equally amazing job at manufacturing the actual ring--the final product turned out beautifully and showcases my Gigi's stone perfectly. Neither my fiancée nor I can resist staring at the ring for long periods of time :) They also were more than willing to make sure that the ring was kept a secret! They were very competitive on price. Even with the fully custom design, we were able to make design changes within my budget. Better still, they only use conflict-free stones when buying new and they have hypoallergenic alloys available. Even if my fiancée and I move away from the A2 area, we will be back to get a matching wedding band when the time arises. Highly, highly recommend.
