    Yarn!!!

This is my favorite store! Great yarns at a sharp price and fantastic assistance if you need help. My go to place!

I am a yarn addict. I don't say that lightly. I love to crochet and I really love to go into new yarn stores. So, like a moth to a flame, I was drawn to this store. But what could have been a 4-5 star review became a two star review. This store is funky and cute and had I not been with my husband, I probably would have bought something. However, I hated the way I was ignored when in there. That is except for the one one man who worked there. He was nice, conversational, and a fellow crocheter which was cool. And his greeting me and talking with me is where they earned their third star. They did have some interesting yarns. Usually, I'd take a picture of the tag and look for the product online (hello, Amazon). But I didn't only because my impatient husband was waiting for me. I'd visit again and depending on how I'm treated, I'll make a purchase or take a picture of the tag and send my money elsewhere.

Yarn that was on clearance. Italian mohair and alpaca.

Beautiful yarns and helpful and kind staff. You can find all kinds pf project inspiration and books on techniques. Yarn is high quality and therefore somewhat pricy, but worth it when you are making a craft that will last years of enjoyment. Pattern books also available and I think they may offer classes occasionally for beginners?

I received a wonderful education about how organic sustainable wool is created from the Alpaca and sheep wool.

Such a fun and unique experience, perfect for anyone with any level of artistic ability!…read more My mom and I took a glassblowing class here and both opted to make the milk jug/small vase. They have a handful of tiers that have different items you can make including paper weights, ornaments, pumpkin, and a terrarium. Each tier is priced differently and gradually increases as you move up a tier. When you book/preregister for your class, you have to select the tier you want to make from, but you are able to change it when you get there. My mom had selected a tier 2 item when booking, but switched to tier 1 the day of, and we were charged appropriately. Instructors were very helpful and gave good insight and demonstrated how the process worked. They were very hands on, and could be even more so if you needed them to be. Our class had some younger kids as well as adults, and everyone was given great care and the assistance they needed. You take turns each making your piece one at a time, so the actual process per person probably took around 20 minutes for tier 0-2 items. Depending on class size and how many people are in your group/when you arrive, you could expect to be there anywhere from 1 hour to 2.5. You don't get to take your blowing home right away, it has to sit in a hot oven overnight to set, so I sadly haven't seen my finished product yet, but I can't wait to pick it up and start putting it to use! Good pro-tip, wear long sleeves! I wore short sleeves because I figured I would be too hot in long, but the molten glass is VERY HOT and can irritate your skin just from the proximity! My arm turned super red and had a little bit of a heat rash the rest of the day, but it went away by the next morning.

I'd never tried glass blowing, but someone recommend this place to me and I decided to go when I…read morehad friend in town. I didn't know what to expect but it ended up being such a fun and unique experience. It's easy to book your glass blowing session online and it's only $80 for a small item. My friends and I all made small pumpkins to remember our visit and they turned out to be so beautiful. The day we came someone was wrong with the oven. It wasn't as hot as it should've been but the workers teaching us were very cool and easy going and we were still able to make our glass. They gave great instruction and helped us the whole time. I learned so much and loved learning how to do this! I like that they can even mail you your item for a small fee since it takes a day or two to cool. I would definitely do this again! It's such a special experience.

There are no words to describe the transformative healing I've had this year. The following is my…read morebest effort to convey the power of what I've experienced since working with Jane. She is an incredible coach, teacher, and healer (among many things) who I have learned so much from. Last year, I stepped into the unknown. Not an unfamiliar place for me but the circumstances were (of course) different. I had just ended a 10 year relationship, was in between jobs, needing to move, and I realized that somewhere along the way I lost myself. Or rather, I forgot who I was. I was starting to identify that my soul's purpose was (is) to be a healer, but had no idea what to do with that or where to go. From the moment I met Jane, I knew her shamanic training program, Luminous Path, was where I needed to be. I wanted her healing as well as her teachings. And while she has provided much healing for me, she also taught me how to heal myself! On top of that, the healing takes place within a tribe of beautiful and strong women wrapped in a safe and secure container that we are all taught to create. Jane taught me how to share openly and vulnerably, how to stand tall and take up space, how to change my false lifehood story, how to let go of limiting beliefs and step into who I really am. I have shifted from codependency to co-commitment both within my relationship with myself as well as with others. I have shifted from feeling insecure to secure, again both within my relationship with myself as well as with others. I found confidence, clarity, peace, and joy. I found myself. I remembered. As the end of the year approached I found myself ready for more. I wanted more healing, more teachings, and more space to integrate it all. Luckily, Luminous Path is a 1-3 year program. Another thing I am grateful for as I am now in year 2! A huge THANK YOU to Jane. I am beyond grateful to know you, to have received your offerings, and to learn these ways from you. The ways of the healer. The ways of the warrior. The ways of the wild one. The ways of the medicine woman. The ways of the Goddess. Many blessing. A'ho!

Through the medium of paint and canvas, I have worked through trauma and achieved soul-healing to a point where my inner and outer worlds have been transformed remarkably for the better by the deep healing Jane and IC have to offer. All but the first painting group have been done virtually through Zoom group sessions. The deep wisdom, compassion, and love Jane embodies and the Red Thread community members are such an incredible gift in my life, I am grateful for every moment I spend with them and I look forward to spending the rest of my days in their loving spiritual embrace of friendship, community, love, and ART! I whole-heartedly recommend Jane for any of the many offerings she has at Joy of Being. She is a true blessing in my life and you deserve her in yours.
