First time going and definitely won't be the last! Our server Megan was great and very attentive. The rolls and steak were top tier, kimchi rice was the perfect add on. Great vibes, dim lighting, busy but not overcrowded.

I will say the hostess was not the friendliest. The restaraunt was completely empty and there were empty tables in the bar but she kept telling us everything was reserved. I honestly believe it was bc us 3 ladies were dressed of a concert and she must of thought otherwise of us. We finally managed to see there were 2 seats at the bar and asked if they could add another chair, and another lady said yes. The bartenders were so wonderful, friendly, they joked around with us. We had a wonderful and pleasant dinner at the bar. We're grateful to the bartenders for their pleasantry and for not being rude bc we were in jeans and tees. It's a very nice ambiance, elegant but casual at the same time. I MUST SAY THIS HAS BEEN THE BEST SUSHI I've ever had in my life. We also ordered pork belly and omg ... salivating ... this is a must try place but do yourself a favor and make a reservation ahead of time. (I'm only giving it a 4star bc of the hostess, not bc of the food)

Still going strong. Stopped in before Cardi B concert at PeoplesBank arena with a friend and sat at the bar. The bartender was excited and entertaining. The special edamame is always a favorite. The calamari was crispy and light but may not have been the absolute freshest. Loved the Eel roll and the Pineapple Margarita

Zack & I enjoyed a nice anniversary dinner at Feng on 6/15/26. We got a lychee martini and I had a green tea lychee martini mocktail. We started with foie gras dumplings which Zach said might just be a bit too fatty/rich for his taste, but I enjoyed them. We split a 10pc nigiri platter which was yummy, they have seasoned sushi rice here, which I hadn't seen before. The Otoro Caviar was the star of the show, the fatty bluefin tuna was our favorite. The service was excellent and our server was very attentive to our needs. There was a corporate party seated for dinner across from us and an elderly couple next to us so it looks like a good spot for coworkers and couples to enjoy some sushi. The restaurant is dark with trendy top 40 music playing in the background. Need to come back for some steak's next.

What a local gem! I've returned several times just this week because I am so impressed with the food quality, atmosphere, and overall experience at Feng's Chophouse. Let's start with the décor. The stunning, one-of-a-kind entrance door immediately sets the tone and makes you feel like you're stepping into another world. It's also the perfect photo opportunity! The dim lighting and warm color palette create a relaxing and inviting ambiance, while the beautifully designed bar adds a luxurious touch to the space. The bartenders are incredibly friendly, attentive, and provide exceptional service that makes every visit enjoyable. Everything I've ordered has arrived quickly and beautifully plated, so visually appealing that I almost didn't want to touch it! The quality of the food is outstanding, with every dish tasting fresh and packed with flavor. Some of my favorites include the maki rolls, Wagyu and shrimp dumplings, and the nori tacos. Feng's Chophouse has quickly become my go-to spot for a relaxing lunch, date night, or special dinner. The restaurant is clean, welcoming, and consistently delivers an excellent dining experience. Highly recommend!

The restaurant is nicely situated in beautiful downtown Hartford and was just stones throw away from popular hotel chains like Hilton and Marriott. The walk to get there wasn't bad at all. As soon as you walk in, your greeted and sat by the waitress. The restaurant reminded me of an anime, like a Japanese anime in a quasi futuristic yet elevated luxurious way. They have plenty of seating available at the sushi bar but the man bar with what appeared to be one bar tender, was full of patrons. I opted for a table because I had work to do as well while I waited for my food. My only negative would be that the quality of the service was significantly less because I was a solo diner at a table. The wait staff did focus all of their energy on patrons with 2 or more tops. So if your looking for a more well rounded experience, invite a friend or multiple so that you can get your water refilled in a timely manner, drinks, inquire about menu items ect. I ordered the dragon and avocado roll along with a chocolate cake. All were excellent which is why I rate this place a 4 out of 5. Parking: I walked on foot but didn't notice street parking. I did however notice that they had parking garages. I didnt ask if they validate parking but that would be something I would encourage you to call ahead and ask. Also, make a reservation here. It's easier than waiting for a spot to open up.

Our second time here!! This time for our 25th anniversary. Amazing once again!! Lucky enough to get the same server we had the first time!! Impeccable service! Love the dark and moody atmosphere, it's relaxing. Started with a perfect dirty martini made with a Japanese vodka ( can't remember the name) and a Davis Bynam Chardonnay. My husband had a bourbon. Fresh oysters were lovely. And the Otoro Caviar Roll was awesome! My husband had the porterhouse, he loved it and took half of it home( pretty sure that was intentional lol) and I opted for the Omakase. For dessert we had the Chocolate Lava cake and Ice cream. We will most definitely be back.

THIS KIMICHI FRIED RICE WAS ONE OF THE BEST IVE EVER HAD. So obviously I didn't have that much during my visit to Feng Chophouse, but let me tell you...I will 10/10 be returning because of the AMAZING service and the ambience there??? WOW. What a gorgeous date spot or even just wanting to having a special night--here's for another visit here SOON!!!

The ambience of Feng Chophouse is like no other! Very low lighting, intimate spacing and beautiful decor. Perfect date night spot! We paid $10 for valet which was very convenient and was greeted and seated as soon as we walked in. We ordered the shrimp tempura appetizer which was seasoned very well and tasted fresh. I ordered the braised short rib for my entree which was mouthwatering and very delicious. My partner ordered the rack of lamb entree which he truly enjoyed as well. 10/10 would highly recommend! It was a perfect night!

So good! Great happy hour menu. Drinks were like $6. Food was super cheap too! The rolls were like $7. I wasn't in the mood for a roll so I got a seaweed salad and spicy edamame (sooooooo good). The restaurant was really nice and cute for a date. Overall great and nice bartender!

Grabbed dinner for the first time in a few years! I can definitely say me and Feng got off on the wrong foot. We were seated in the back and I loved the decor. Super chic and modern, it definitely is one of the more upscale restaurants in Hartford. I ordered the calamari, dry aged steak and cheese, and the good fortune to drink. The good fortune was delicious, similar to a pina colada. The calamari was cooked well and wasn't rubbery or oily. I loved the sandwich! It was perfectly salted and the bread was very soft. I'm a sucker for French fries and specifically steak cut that have been cooked perfectly and have a little crisp. Service was attentive.

The food was amazing. One of the best restaurant steaks I've had in years. They have a pricey sake menu too if that strikes your fancy. The sushi was also so tender and delicious. I love that you can get some special items with gold leaf. The only negative was there was a big delay between getting our drinks and raw oysters and our entrees. However it was such a nice night with great cocktails we were fine waiting.

He liked these. I think one was the autumn in CT and the other ....

Came for my guys bday. Food n ambiance were great, service was kinda weird. Crostinis were super stale and when we told the server, she decided we didn't know what we were talking abt and explained to us what crostini is supposed to taste like, lol. I told her try one and flipped it over to expose mold. She then took it to the back and came back with toasted bread to let us know the staff decided I was right and they were in fact stale. Lol. He had a great bday but we won't be back.

I informed you that because my dog is a service animal, she is permitted under ADA to accompany me in all public places. Charlie Brown, who was also at the door, then asked me the appropriate questions allowed under ADA, and after I responded, allowed me to enter the establishment with my service dog. However, after maybe 30 minutes, Mr. Brown approached me and asked that I leave the premises and return without my service dog. I declined this request since my service dog was not misbehaving in any way, barking incessantly or at all, and not being disruptive to any other patrons. After about another 30 minutes, Mr. Drouin approached me with Mr. Brown and demanded that I leave because according to him my dog was too young to be a service animal and therefore must be in training, and I was being disruptive by talking to patrons who asked me about my dog. I informed Mr. Drouin he was incorrect, that my service dog is fully trained to provide the service for which she is required, and the law does not prohibit me from interacting with patrons who approach me about my dog. He and Mr. Brown still demanded that I leave. I was with a group of five other people who all witnessed all of these exchanges. We all departed the establishment at that time. I have filed an official complaint #758150-TWD with the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division for this violation of 28 CFR Sec. 36.302(c). This violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act can result in civil penalties up to $75,000 for a first offense and $150,000 for a subsequent offense. Despite me informing these ignorant and insolent employees of this, they still demanded that I leave. I will also be filing a complaint with the State of Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities for this violation of CT General Statutes Sec. 46a-44 & 46a-64, which is a class C misdemeanor, which Mr. Drouin and Mr. Brown will be individually charged. I will also be contacting Mr. James Verano, the listed Principal for Pig's Eye Pub, and Mr. William (Bill) Morrissey, the listed Managing Member regarding these federal and state violations. I will also have my personal attorney contact Reid and Riege, PC, the listed agent for Pig's Eye Pub. Being denied service while accompanied by a service animal is illegal, humiliating, and emotionally draining experience that no one should have to endure. What these imbecilic employees did was not only illegal but morally reprehensible.

Then we ordered a Farmer's salad with blackened chicken and the Bangers and mash. The food came out maybe 25-30 minutes later, oh and worth the wait! Because the blackened chicken was piping hot, I wish it had been slightly to the side of the spring mix lettuce so that the salad would be a bit crisper but the flavors were wonderful. It came with a balsamic vinaigrette. My husband's Bangers and Mash included garlicky mashed potatoes, a rich thick mushroom gravy, and flavorful sausages, all on a bed of vegetables.
