I absolutely love this place. My favorite drinks included the dirty latte and the matcha breeze w cream cheese foam. OMG soo good. What do I like about these drinks, you ask? Well i like the subtle sweet mixed with cold creamy unique flavors in each drink. Most of the flavors are derived from a healthy base like Matcha(green tea), or Taro(a type of potato-ish). These type of drinks are really unmatched. I add boba to every drink. Boba (honey and rice base jelly balls) They have a variety of other non-creamy drinks to choose from aswell. I will venture out to giving those a try soon.

Good tea with Abnormally unfriendly service? I usually don't pay too much attention to the service at boba shop, because I only order to go anyway, but the cashier was very annoyed when I asked what was the best seller in the shop... Other than that, the tea was alright, boba balls were well cooked. I might try out feng cha again, but for sure not at this location.

In continuing to find work spaces, I decided to try working at a boba shop. I've been to Feng Cha a few times and usually grab a drink and head out. The teas have all been solid and I like that customizing for quarter sweetness actually feels like its a good level of sweetness for me. I will say the boba was a bit if a let down for me, texture wise great but flavorwise lacking. Everytime I've been service has always been really nice and they seem to be working diligently. When I came to study, the cashier was kind enough to give me the wifi info so I could sit and work. Its definitely more spacious than most boba shops which lends itself to be a pretty casual, quiet work space. The only downside is probably parking but there are a few street spots out front.

I always avoided feng cha because I like milk tea and I thought they had a small milk tea selection. Little did I know, you could get their pure teas as milk tea as well. I got the jasmine green milk tea and it was pretty good but not as good as the times I've gotten it in the past. The jasmine flavor is prominent but I remembered it being more stronger last fall. I always make sure to get less ice on feng cha drinks because their drinks usually always get diluted fast when I order from them, especially their Richardson location. I always disliked feng cha because of my experience at their Richardson location but the Houston locations were definitely a lot better

Was craving boba but wanted to try a new spot that wasn't too far from my house. Feng Cha did not disappoint. I placed my order at self service kiosk and it didn't take long to get our drinks. The restaurant is nice size and located across from another tea house. I will definitely be back

After eating dinner across the street, it was easy to hop over to Feng Cha for a tasty drink. It's a typical boba shop, and we were the only customers at 7:30 on a Saturday night. My Vietnamese coffee came out quickly and woke me right up after being in a slump. Nothing extraordinary but nothing wrong either! Free parking garage across the street as well.

This is my go-to spot for boba in the Midtown area! Parking in the nearby garage is quick, easy and free, but it does require you to walk a short distance to get to Feng Cha. The drinks taste refreshing, I like to order an iced Jasmine Green Tea with Grass Jelly, Cheese Foam creme brulee on top (100% sugar and ice). On days where I prefer a milk tea, I order a Classic Milk Tea but with 70% sugar, since their milk teas are typically quite sweet. I like their sip caps, as it makes it easy to taste the cheese foam in addition to the tea! The service is solid and the drinks come out pretty fast. Make sure to get your receipt printed if you plan on using the restroom since the passcode would be on the receipt. The environment of the store location itself is nice and I occasionally enjoy studying there since the booths are clean and comfortable and there are outlets at each booth. I stop by here quite regularly and it makes for a good pick-me-up during the week!

So since my last review I felt compelled to write an updated one. I felt that the early review was based on the staff that worked on the other Feng Cha locations trying to get the Midtown one up to speed So after a few months of consistently coming here, few things really stuck out Come here if you want to study, or not in a hurry because these drinks take forever to make. (30 min in a busy time, 15 if there's no one there) I saw one of the employees spilled a large portion of my drink one time, had an oops face, and then proceeded to seal it and deliver it to me. No apologies or acknowledgment. Parking is still chaotic. I don't think I'll be coming back here for a while. There's a gong cha a few blocks away with a parking lot you can go to, and a kung fu tea across the street that has a garage. Both with faster service

Quiet atmosphere - felt like a really good place to study. In fact, there were several people studying there. It is located on the first floor of calais apartment, on the same road of the leasing office and across the street from kung fu tea. I've had Feng cha in different cities, and I've always liked their franchise. I got their drink and thought it was good. Taro slush is good but i'd recommend reducing the sugar - very sweet. I didn't try their signature dessert at this location. Would love to come back and try more stuff.

I can't get enough of the teas from here. The combinations are endless, and service is so super friendly and fast. It's such a great place to come have a chat with a friend and cool off from the heat outside. Or to come and enjoy a little downtime with a book. I am definitely a repeat customer!!!

Good boba, you have the option to adjust sweetness and ice level which is great! Good portion size. Staff are friendly. Good place for a quick drink.

Really like this new location of Feng Cha! Good location, good service, and nice/clean interior. The drinks were good, as always. I ordered the Kiwi Basil Fruit Tea and loved it. Overall, recommend stopping by!

My partner and I stopped in on our way to pick up some furniture. As recent transplants to Houston, we want to try all of the boba shops we can. Feng Cha was a convenient drive from our place near Hermann Park. There was even free on-street parking in front of the shop. We were warmly greeted by the employees behind the counter. I cannot say enough how friendly Houstonians have been to us. The menus are easy to read and also inform you of the ice and sugar options - a nice touch for folks who may not frequent boba shops. I tried the Citrus Lord with regular ice and 50% sweetness. It was fantastic - both me and my partner would definitely try it again. But with so many fun options on their menu, it will probably be awhile before we order the same thing again. 5/5 and look forward to coming back in the near future.

The oat latte my friend got was creamy, well balanced and wonderful. We got the eggs, sausage, and cheese taco, chicken gumbo empanada, and the beef empanada and each one was delicious. The breakfast taco really hit the spot. Just right amount of salty, gooey cheese, and meat. Made my day. The empanadas are huge, enough for two people. Another awesome visit.

Grinder's Coffee Bar came up and it was right across the street so I made my way over. I arrived around 1 p.m. on a Wednesday. I parked in their small complimentary lot and made my way inside. Ambiance (3.5/5): Grinder's is basically two spots in one. When you walk in, there's a small counter where you place your order. And a handful of seats. From there, you wan walk into a more spacious second room that houses a CBD shop. And more seating along with the bathroom. I sat at a couch in the CBD area. While weed isn't my thing, if you're into both weed and coffee, that makes for a nice one-two punch for you. There isn't a ton of seating, less so than most coffee shops. Luckily, since it was a weekday, I didn't have any trouble. I wonder if that's different on the weekends. They also have free WiFi if you'd like to linger and work or study. Service (2.5/5): The menu is a little confusing because they have a menu on the counter and a menu on the wall with different items. I didn't see that there was a menu on the counter until I was about to place an order. They also have some beverages in a cooler that aren't on either menu. Not the best set up. Service wasn't terribly friendly either. Food (N/A): Since I just had lunch prior, no food for me. They have a small, but appetizing number of pastries and small bites for sale if you get the munchies (pun intended). Drinks (3.5/5): I'm not a coffee drinker so take this with a grain of salt. When I go to a coffee shop, I like coffee shops that still have a nice selection of teas and juices. Grinder's has a small number of teas that can be made either hot or iced. I went with one, iced, and sweetened with agave (for a surcharge). I liked it and the price was reasonable. They also had a mocktail of sorts that was available on their seasonal menu, although like most mocktails, overpriced. While not really my vibe, if you're a CBD person, Grinder's will be right up your alley. It's a unique spot and located in a great part of town.

Staff was ok... not exceptionally warm and friendly but good enough. I asked a question and the girl responded to me without turning around or making eye contact - gave me the impression she was annoyed that I was asking a question. Overall, they are quick with coffee orders with a variety of pastries. Parking is difficult (but it is Montrose!), so anticipate adding a little time to your drive to find a spot.
