She stayed on her phone during the interaction, gave me short answers, and made me feel like I was bothering her for simply trying to understand what I was ordering. After she made my drink, I went to put the straw in, and only then was I told that I was supposed to shake it first. When I asked why she didn't mention that before, she replied, "If you drink boba and milk tea, you should know." For context, this is only my second time ever trying boba. Instead of offering helpful info or friendly service, I felt talked down to and dismissed. I was excited to try something new -- but this interaction left a bad taste in my mouth before I even sipped the drink. Hopefully others have a better experience, but I personally won't be returning.

As uncomfortable as it was, I politely pointed it out to the staff. They took the plate back but then returned with the exact same herbs, bugs still on them. Nothing had been replaced or addressed. After that, the atmosphere shifted and the staff acted noticeably uncomfortable, which made the situation even more awkward. To make matters worse, I later learned from someone who previously worked there that unused pho vegetables from other tables are reportedly reused. Whether that practice is consistent or not, combined with what I personally experienced, it raises serious concerns about food safety and hygiene. I can't in good conscience return, and I hope the restaurant takes these issues seriously. Cleanliness and proper food handling are non-negotiable.
