Really great service! Tasty and a cute hang out. It's tiny though. So not for a large group

I was really excited to try this place after hearing good things, but unfortunately my experience…read morewas disappointing. I had a couple of questions about the drinks -- like whether taro was similar to ube, and if it was sweet -- and the employee helping me seemed annoyed and uninterested. She stayed on her phone during the interaction, gave me short answers, and made me feel like I was bothering her for simply trying to understand what I was ordering. After she made my drink, I went to put the straw in, and only then was I told that I was supposed to shake it first. When I asked why she didn't mention that before, she replied, "If you drink boba and milk tea, you should know." For context, this is only my second time ever trying boba. Instead of offering helpful info or friendly service, I felt talked down to and dismissed. I was excited to try something new -- but this interaction left a bad taste in my mouth before I even sipped the drink. Hopefully others have a better experience, but I personally won't be returning.

I've never been here so I don't know what their menu is. Added - the drink was made quickly and tasted okay. I'm still not sure what it is suppose to be anyways since she was not kind enough to explain what the pic drink was. It looked good so I went for it

In addition to the delicious matcha pumpkin latte I had, as a mother, the standout feature to me was the cute little playroom. Have you ever been to a coffee shop with a playroom? Yeah, I didn't think so. Now don't come in there with a bunch of kids bc the space is small and it's is a coffee shop but I did want you to know that the room is there if you need it.

f you're looking for a spot that's equal parts cute and chill, this all-pink boba café in historic…read moredowntown is where you need to be! The second you step in, you're instantly transported into a pastel paradise. I was greeted right away with a friendly smile, which instantly made me feel welcome. While I didn't try the pastries this time, I couldn't help but notice their selection, including a churro croissant that looked absolutely amazing! I'm definitely making a mental note to try it on my next visit. Let's talk about the strawberry matcha - it was good. While it was refreshing, it just didn't have that real, fruity sweetness I was hoping for - tasted more like syrup instead of real strawberries. The matcha itself was decent, but I expected more balance and a more authentic taste. Still, it wasn't bad - just not the best I've ever had. But, honestly, the drink was secondary because the vibe is where this place shines. The upstairs lounge is the perfect escape - cozy, inviting, and great for catching up with friends or getting some work done. It's the kind of place you just want to settle into and relax. And if you've got little ones with you, the kids' playroom is an absolute gem. It's colorful and well-organized with awesome books. Located in the heart of historic downtown, this cafe also has that charming local vibe that makes it feel like a hidden gem. The setting really adds to the experience. The atmosphere is truly unbeatable. Whether you're here for the vibe, the cute decor, or just to hang out with friends, it's definitely worth a visit! I'll be back for sure--maybe just trying a different drink next time!

I really hate writing negative reviews, but I feel obligated to share this experience…read more When my pho was served, I noticed visible bugs on the fresh basil plate. As uncomfortable as it was, I politely pointed it out to the staff. They took the plate back but then returned with the exact same herbs, bugs still on them. Nothing had been replaced or addressed. After that, the atmosphere shifted and the staff acted noticeably uncomfortable, which made the situation even more awkward. To make matters worse, I later learned from someone who previously worked there that unused pho vegetables from other tables are reportedly reused. Whether that practice is consistent or not, combined with what I personally experienced, it raises serious concerns about food safety and hygiene. I can't in good conscience return, and I hope the restaurant takes these issues seriously. Cleanliness and proper food handling are non-negotiable.

The fish itself tasted fresh, but the batter wasn't fully cooked, leaving the inside gummy, including the rice. It was just okay overall and not what I was expecting from a fried roll. On a more positive note, the ramen was hot, fresh, and flavorful. That dish was definitely the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the restroom situation really took away from the experience. There was old, crusted yellow urine on the back of the toilet seats, and the soap dispenser was missing its spout, making it difficult to wash hands properly. Cleanliness, especially in the bathroom, is very important and needs immediate attention. With better consistency in food preparation and improved cleanliness, this place could be much better.

But the dining flow is smoother and the dining room is larger and more comfortable. They have sacrificed considerable shelf shopping, an entire row - I didn't see my favorite pho packaged broth mix - but I certainly appreciated all the new tables and chairs. You still order and pay up front. There are photos for everything you might want to order, but there is something that cannot really be conveyed. I believe that the heat levels are hotter than most places. They will warn you. Believe them. So I believed it, it was still HOT, and I had to laugh. I still enjoyed it all. So my Husband got his wish and ordered the garlicky Pork Riblets. They are marinated in garlic, fried in garlic, and topped with garlic. So very very good. He also had the Chicken Wings also deep into the garlic flavor and very tender. He shared with me. Thank goodness. So I shared the always crunchy and tasty pork egg rolls. Heaven. They came with their own sauce, but there's a table up by the kitchen with the Hoisin, Sriracha, and other sauces and of course there is a spice tray. My husband had their wonderful green curry and I, the Pad Kee Mao, which was very spicy even at a (2). I wasn't keen on the noodle texture or lack of sauce. I've had many versions of Drunken Noodles and I wanted to like this this one. I love this grocery and restaurant combination. It's aromatic and fun! The locals are here and I love that big picture menu out front. Ly Foods is a special place.
