They are the best! My husband goes nearly every week for the milk tea. It's SO yummy! I wasn't into boba before trying theirs, now I get so excited when we get to stop by for a "special treat". So far, the milk tea with caramel drizzle is our favorite.

My granddaughter Loves this place. We make several trips a week for her mango boba. Staff has always been pleasant and helpful.

Cute place. Milk tea half sweet was good. Played a couple rounds of tic-tac-toe and connect four.

Everything about this place was so so good food and drinks amazing 10 out of 10 unfortunately I…read moredon't live in Waco but if I did, I'd be there all the time. I will definitely try to stop by as often as I can when I'm traveling through!! here's an updated menu for this location as well as some pictures as of the interior! Service was also very good!

Drink: I ordered a large peach green tea with boba, no ice,…read moreand it was fantastic. The tea was brewed beautifully , fresh, balanced, and not syrupy sweet like some other boba spots. The boba itself was perfectly chewy and just sweet enough to complement the drink, not overpower it. I also really appreciated that, even with no ice, they filled my cup completely to the top. Simple, thoughtful detail and it makes all the difference. Service: The staff here was genuinely kind and patient. I asked a few questions about sweetness levels and tea bases (I'm mindful about sugar intake), and they answered every one with care, no judgment, no pressure, no upselling. They made the drink exactly how I ordered it and didn't try to push other menu options on me. That respect and attentiveness go such a long way. Ambiance: Cha Community has such a warm, creative vibe, red brick walls, cozy coffeehouse energy, indie music, local art, and stickers that make the space feel personal and loved. The whole café smelled amazing, and you can tell they've put heart into the details. It's the kind of place that feels like a little pocket of calm and connection in the middle of the day. Overall: Highly recommend stopping here if you're in Waco. The experience was night and day, proof that quality, care, and consistency matter more than anything else. Refer to my Poppa Bear review if you want the comparison, but honestly, just come to Cha Community first.

I was really excited to try this place after hearing good things, but unfortunately my experience…read morewas disappointing. I had a couple of questions about the drinks -- like whether taro was similar to ube, and if it was sweet -- and the employee helping me seemed annoyed and uninterested. She stayed on her phone during the interaction, gave me short answers, and made me feel like I was bothering her for simply trying to understand what I was ordering. After she made my drink, I went to put the straw in, and only then was I told that I was supposed to shake it first. When I asked why she didn't mention that before, she replied, "If you drink boba and milk tea, you should know." For context, this is only my second time ever trying boba. Instead of offering helpful info or friendly service, I felt talked down to and dismissed. I was excited to try something new -- but this interaction left a bad taste in my mouth before I even sipped the drink. Hopefully others have a better experience, but I personally won't be returning.

My mango strawberry tea was full flavored and slightly sweet. Perfect. Fruit Tea was about $6.00. Refreshing. I was able to take my tea into BN Sushi just next door. I really wanted to like Ono Grindz, especially with a concept rooted in Hawaiian culture, but…read moreunfortunately the experience didn't reflect that at all. From the moment we walked in, the two employees working didn't greet us or acknowledge us, and their demeanor made it feel like we were inconveniencing them just by being there. There's a big difference between basic customer service and true hospitality and this place missed both. There were also some frustrations with how orders are handled. The business charges an extra $2.50 for maybe a tablespoon of gluten-free granola, but doesn't adjust pricing if ingredients are removed or unavailable. I understand most businesses don't do this but it sometimes evens out when items are removed and unavailable. For example, I was told after ordering that they were out of coconut, which was supposed to come on my item. I was asked if that was okay, but realistically, what's the alternative in that moment? It just felt like another instance of paying for something I didn't receive. At one point, the employee preparing our order walked past us multiple times without acknowledgment to speak with her coworker, which added to the overall feeling of being ignored. A place inspired by Hawaiian culture should carry some sense of "aloha", warmth, welcome, and care. Unfortunately, that was completely missing here. We won't be returning, and that's disappointing because the concept has so much potential.
