One was privacy, on front, ours was iron on front and it's about an acre the had to fence off on 3 sides with chain link & the other neighbor only had the posts put in because our ground apparently is not made of dirt, just rock and unlike us, that neighbor has some great carpentry skills. We also had several stone columns. The masonry guys came on the date scheduled & on time. We were amazed at how quickly they went up. Employees were very nice & gave us our privacy. No slacking off. Very respectful. It was near the holidays so it took a little while before the front went up. went But they also had to order additional parts for a change our neighbor made. They came earlier than scheduled. Those employees were also great. Never saw them even turn to look at our home as they walked back and forth through the back (our many windows have no curtains). They came on time, never saw them slack off. I don't think I even saw them leave for lunch. When they were done for the day, they cleaned up. The foreman even noticed some materials we didn't order that would help keep the fence from moving around. So it was ordered & they installed same day. Not only that, the only winter day we had in texas happened to be the last day they had to finish. He asked if they coukd work on sunday & we said of course. But he told us they might wait until winter was over, on Monday. But the next day on Sunday, when it was crazy cold, they showed up and by the end of the day they were done! Foreman came to ask if it was all good. And then they left on their merry way. Our emails with questions were answered promptly and usually the same day. The fence looked great. A couple weeks later, maybe earlier, we received another email to check in on us & find out if there was anything that we needed. Highly recommend.

Everything went fairly smoothly up until the day of the installation of my iron fence surrounding my home. A few days prior to the scheduled installation, I asked the representative if there would be someone supervising the installation who speaks fluent English. He said there wouldn't be anyone supervising because his wife was scheduled to go into labor on that day. He reassured me there would be no issues and the workers would know EXACTLY what they needed to do. I reiterated to him how important it is they install the iron fence low enough to prevent my dog from digging a hole escaping. I reluctantly agreed to proceed with the installation based on his reassurances. The day of the installation, the workers showed up at my door and the first thing one of the workers did was hand me a cell ph and someone with Northwest told me, "Can you tell them where to install the fence" I told him I already went over all this with my rep and I do not feel confident communicating with workers who do not speak English. I ended the call and immediately called the rep and told him that someone needs to get down here and communicate everything we had already went over. The rep came down and told the workers where to install everything. I asked him who I should contact at the office if there is a problem and reminded him what he told me about the workers knowing exactly what they need to do. He responded by saying, "I thought it wasn't an issue to you that they don't speak English?" This was NOT what I stated and told him I only agreed to allow the installation to proceed because of his reassurance they would not need any additional guidance during the installation. Sure enough, after they got started prepping the ground and installing the fence, the gate was being installed too high, leaving a large gap at the bottom, and I tried to communicate this with the workers with no luck. I told the workers to stop completely and, at this point, I was really starting to lose my patience. I immediately called the Northwest office and told them the fence was being installed too high from the ground and how they needed to send someone over immediately or I would be sending the workers away for the day. They sent someone down about 30 minutes later and he communicated with the workers, the proper way to install the fence. I asked the supervisor to stick around to ensure there were no more issues. They 'completed' the installation and they had forgotten to attach adhesive to the caps on the fence posts as well as failing to install the latch on the side gate. They had to return two separate times, requiring me to take time out of my day to be here, to complete the gate lock installation and attach the caps properly. I also started finding pieces of sharp metal in my lawn they failed to clean up which posed a major safety hazard for our family and dog. All of this nonsense could have been avoided if the representative assigned to my project would have scheduled the installation at a time when he could have been present to supervise and inspect the work being done by the subcontractors they hired...

The foreman contacted me and we arranged a visit. This took very little time and he walked me through everything including their recommendations. I went with the full deal -- rot board and metal posts and it came out spectacular! Everything is so precise and even when we ran into some issues they stepped in and made it right. My neighbors also added into the job a bit and they were willing to work with them to fix a problem connected to my fence for an extra fee. Both my neighbors and myself are really happy with it and it looks incredible. The workers were polite and all was cleaned up. While they may not be the cheapest out there they are top notch and reliable with high quality materials and work!

Jimmy was prompt for the site visit, and he sent me the quote when he said he was going to send it to me! The quote was significantly less money than the other quotes I received and frankly, he was much more personable, and that sealed the deal for me. The fence and steel frame gate also came with a 1 year warranty which was a bonus. The work was done promptly and beautifully and his crew was very professional. There were some initial things about the fence I needed fixed- with 5 dogs things had to be extra secure- and he sent his crew out within a day. Because our land is a bit raised from the sidewalk, after a few months, the weight of the gravel, that makes up our backyard, began pouring out from under the fence onto the sidewalk. I expressed my concern, and Jimmy made a point to come out and assess the issue within a few days. He brought in a 3rd party landscaper- a friend of his who was a top notch professional- to problem solve. What they came up with was to build a stone wall/planter all along the fence line to keep the gravel in and secure. Though Jimmy was not doing the work himself, he acted as the go between via email and phone calls with the landscaper to set the wheels in motion and the result is better than I could ever have imagined. It was a true pleasure working with Jimmy. It's clear that he cares about his customers and their satisfaction and he's willing to go the extra mile to make sure you're 100% happy.

Similar to what other reviewers have mentioned, the estimate for Campbell's was extremely affordable, and significantly below other estimates and anecdotal knowledge from my friends who have recently had similar work done installing fences around their homes. The work was completed according to the original timeline, and Garret coordinated with my other two neighbors on their shared costs, so I didn't have to worry about collecting their payments, etc. With so many options available for fence installation, I hope this review saves others some unnecessary research -- the other reviews for Campbell's are accurate, as these guys do quality work, on-time, and very price-competitive. The great customer service from Garret just added another benefit of giving my business to Campbell's! Unfortunately our customer wasn't the owner of the property and the owner wanted the fence installers to do the touch up. Fast forward and now we're being charged this crazy amount for one pole to be painted. If you ever need repairs from Capital Fence go pick the paint up yourself and save lots of money. If I would have know that I was going to be reamed I would not have agreed and just painted the pole myself.
