Contacted Century Fence because I saw one of there completed projects on a major street. Mike was our consultant. Dennis was our project manager. Both individuals provided the expertise and knowledge that ultimately resulted in our decision to use them. Our horizontal fence looks better than I expected. The gates are clean, squared, and seem like they are built to last. Thanks, Century Fence! read more

I never write reviews but Michael's lack of professionalism has inspired me. When I told Michael the freon line for our air conditioner was damaged he didn't show any concern. When I told him the HVAC guys thought that one of several contractors could have caused the damage including, the painter, fence company, deck installer siding installer or electrician and all of those contractors agreed to split the cost of fixing the freon and would he be willing to pay a portion he didn't respond. When I deducted $199 (a fraction of the amount) from his invoice and said if he didn't agree with this he could email me his rationale and I would forward it to the other contractors who would split his amount among them he told me "I never agreed to this, $199 is still the balance that is due. If not paid in full Monday our legal team will be filing a lean on the property." He has been disconcertingly aggressive and unprofessional throughout all interactions with him. I can't strongly enough advise that you DON'T HIRE this company. read more

These guys were great, they were quick to respond to my inquiry about an estimate. They got me the quote the next day and I was able to get my fence replaced quickly after that. The workmanship is spot on and the best part about it was the awesome communication prior to starting the job and keeping me informed on what to expect read more

This is an updated review and response to the owner's comment below: Mike, I'm shocked and disappointed you would blatantly lie about this situation in a public forum. First, I did not hollow out any of the holes in the fence--that's crazy! I would not purposefully damage my own fence for any reason and it's beneath you to fabricate such lies to rationalize the poor quality of your wood. I brought the holes to Dennis' attention while he was still installing the fence. I called you immediately afterward. We have since found a number of knots that were about to fall out and have glued them in with wood glue. Kind of sounds like you knew there were problems with the wood and decided to blame that on me. Unbelievable. Second, I did not promise not to write a bad review--this topic never came up in our conversations. Third, I did not apologize to Dennis. The apology from another household member had nothing to do with the poor quality of your product but rather to her reaction when she found out you offered the old fencing on Craig's list without our knowledge and consent. The idea that strangers would come to our home to haul away wood we paid you to remove was shocking to her and she reacted how one might imagine. She only apologized later because she is a good person and is willing to take responsibility for her own actions. You both could learn from her. I thought you were a person of integrity who at least attempted to make things right. While replacing 30 pickets myself is not my idea of fun, especially when I paid you to install them, I appreciated your offer and told you as much. The fact that you can't accept responsibility for the quality of your materials and use this information to improve your business is certainly disappointing. I gave you two stars initially because you attempted, in a small way, to make things right. Obviously my score needs to be amended down to one. read more

They did a good job, but hit a plumbing line I had no idea was there as I had just moved into the house. Unfortunate and there's a line item in the contract that makes it your issue rather than having company insurance cover it. So, just be aware if you don't know your plumbing lines it could be an expensive repair for you if they hit a sewage line. The work was done in a timely manner and everyone was very nice. They had to do a few changes due to the fact that I have a horrible sense of how many feet of fence I needed having just purchased the house, but they added to the original plan (adding appropriate costs) but managed to get it all done that same day. read more

Work was good, but they damaged a stone wall on my property (I had a security video of their guy doing it), but they still refused to even cover a portion of the repairs. VERY DISAPPOINTING !!!! read more

I appreciate the prompt replacement of our 22 year old privacy fence. We opted for the horizontal cedar and are quite pleased with the outcome. Mike was quick to respond with a reasonable quote and the work was completed ahead of schedule. The workmen were friendly and very careful with cleaning up all debris from old fence. I whole heartedly recommend Century Fence form your fencing needs! read more

I shopped around for several quotes and settled on Century Fence because--- 1) communication is great 2) they work with you to get a competitive quote when you have other offers 3) the reviews on here were great! I had a standard cedar fence put up to replace the one that was falling apart due to the cedar posts rotting in the ground. Century Fence's standard is to set them in concrete so that they aren't exposed to wet soil all the time, and they use pine posts by default, which are less prone to rot. I chose cedar pickets because they are less prone to warping over time (though they are a bit more costly). All in all, we got all the kinks worked out, and the fence was built well, with high-quality screws instead of nails, prompt service, clean-up and professionalism. I'd recommend them to anybody shopping around for a fair, honest and competitive fence builder! read more

They are without a doubt the worst. Excellent work yes, but one year later the shoddy materials they used are all falling apart, boards loaded with knots all falling out. $5700 wasted on a sham. read more

I highly recommend Century Fence. Mike was very responsive and provided a timely and competitive price. Dennis and the install team did a great job on the fence and I couldn't be happier with the results. I will use Century Fence for all my future fence projects. read more

Dennis and brother did an amazing job on two of my projects. Much lower prices than the competitors and done in rapid speed.

The two guys that installed the wooden fence were not very professional and they took the short, easy route of installation. Instead of pulling up the old, wooden posts, they sawed them off at ground level. Overall, the fence is nice, but I would never use this company again. read more

Easy to work with and by far the most well built fence in the neighborhood. Century does not scrimp on high quality materials and the crew was efficient and professional. On top of it all, they had the best price of the 5 companies I received quotes from. Would definitely use again and recommend to others! read more

Great overall experience with this company. Mike came out on time to give a very competitive offer. When it came time for install, Dennis and his crew did a great job and everything was done on time and according to plan. read more

We received bids from three different local, prominently advertising fence companies and Century's was the least expensive and the most thorough. Mike was very patient with our questions, and Dennis was a great communicator and let us know exactly what to expect. The fence was installed in two days, in advance of the original target date, and far exceeds our expectations. I highly recommend Century Fence Company, not only for the price but the quality of workmanship. read more

Updated review. 4/8/17 - Mike finally called me back - only because of my Yelp review. He did explain that his company, although they reportedly do repairs, they also have minimums in place that require at least five new posts. He is the owner, and this is a business decision so I can respect that. However, he said that since my call was after 5 p.m. and went to voicemail, he does not check after hours calls. Personally, I am not sure why a business would have voicemail if they do not plan to check it, but maybe that is just me. So if you want to be a customer - just make sure to call him between 8-5 or do not expect a return call. If you do get a hold of him, he will do a good job for you. read more

Century Fence built my fence in two days and their quote was lower than several other contractors w/ no sacrifice to quality as far as I can tell. They used three supporting cross beams on 6 inch Cedar pickets and pressure-treated pine wooden posts. I'll check back in a year to let y'all know if I am still as happy as when I wrote this, but as of right now, I just don't see how they could have possibly done a better job. FYI: I worked with Mike and Dennis. Mike came by and gave me the quote and Dennis and his team worked on the fence. read more

I've used Century on a couple different projects. The pricing is hard to beat and the quality was great. I will use them again in the future. read more

Mike arrived to provide a quote that was competitive with the most established fence company in Austin and few others. He promised a date to start the installation. The crew arrived earlier than promised and finished a day early. The fence is well built and attractive. Thanks for a job well done and done right! read more

I was in need and Century Fence delivered! Not knowing what to expect in this business was a little intimidating, so what did i do? Called every fence company i could! I decided to go w them and i am so happy i did! I felt very comfortable and included in every aspect of this job. They responded quickly, worked very efficiently and were even accommodating when I wanted to make some changes! Beside the product and service meeting my expectations, the price was the best in town! (Including surrounding areas) I would definitely refer this company to anyone in need! read more

Great service! From quote to finish, they were very professional and on time (which for construction of any kind is a miracle). The quality and security enhancements that come with the regular pricing was a decision factor and I wasn't disappointed. read more

Great service, and very straight-forward quoting and pricing. I was a little tentative about one of the solutions to getting around a large tree on the property line, but Dennis ensured me it would look great. He was right, and I'm definitely glad I trusted his experience in building great-looking fences. read more

It was a pleasure working with Century Fence. I would definitely recommend them to anybody. Michael made the process very smooth and was very quick to respond. Dennis and his crew were excellent the days they were out and were very professional. My wife and I are more than happy with the great work they did! read more

I've used Century twice (in 2013 and 2018) and have had positive experiences both times. The price is not the cheapest or the most expensive, but the quality of work is fantastic. They use high quality materials and processes and avoid cutting corners. They also explained the differences between the types of fencing and allowed me to come to my own conclusion about the best fit for me. I personally chose metal posts, cedar pickets, 3 crossbeams as well as screws vs. nails. Highly recommend them! read more

Solid work. Fair price. Would recommend their services to friends, family, and neighbors.

I loved how my horizontal cedar fence turned out with Century. They were able to come out to my house and give a customized quote and explain all of my options. I didn't feel pressured to go with upgraded materials yet was able to create a very quality design on a moderate budget. I would highly recommend using them! read more

So glad I chose Century Fence Co to install my new fence! I shopped around for a few quotes before, but Century was so responsive, sending quotes and answering all of my questions. The installation process was seamless, and I am so happy with the end result! read more

These guys are awesome! Fast, reasonably priced, and beautiful workmanship! Would highly recommend!

i got bids from a half dozen contractors. while theres was about the same as others, they included some better quality materials, screws instead of nails, 3 rails instead of 2. they did the work on schedule, and it looks AMAZING. read more

Century Fence provides a good product. We had to discuss contract details with the Owner due to incorrect work, which took several weeks to complete. In the end, they did what they were supposed to do. Make sure you have a clear understanding of what is to be supplied, hold onto the proposal. read more

We sought out many bids to replace our fence. Mike came out, and quickly beat most of the offers. He listened and understood our concerns about our irrigation system (drip lines extremely close to the fence line) and assured us they wouldn't harm anything without repairing it. Man, these guys came out exactly when promised, and finished the fence - demo old fence, build new one, and stained - in a day and a half. And it looks tremendous! Thumbs up to holding to your word. read more

Y'know, I was just doing some yard work today and thinking that I sure did wind up with a nice fence. I think it's been about 4 or 5 months now since I had that fence put in, and I'm really happy with it. It was a good price for thicker boards too. Mike came out and met with me and my neighbors so we could plan some things out. And afterwards he helped me get the bill all split up since I had neighbors on two sides chipping in for their portions of the fence. The construction itself went quickly, and the guys out there working were nice. There were a couple of tricky spots that I hadn't really thought much about as we were getting started, but that I've realized since thinking about it later were really well handled. My neighbors were all very happy with the work too. read more

So happy with the whole experience. Mike came out and gave us a great quote. Not only the best price (by far), but also the best quality materials, and a thoroughly detailed description of what we were getting for the money. The crew showed up as scheduled, were friendly, and completed the work on time. Now we have a great looking fence that will last for many years to come! We would definitely use Century Fence again! read more

Reasonably priced, showed up on time and very efficient. Worked with me to install in several phases due to timing and working out with neighbors. Can't wait for them to come back. read more

Great workmanship, quality materials, all done on schedule as promised, by a friendly and competent crew led by Dennis. Mike was very prompt and professional throughout the whole transaction. Hope this new fence lasts awhile, but would definitely call or recommend Century Fence again. read more

Contacted a couple of highly rated local companies to replace about 250 ft of fencing. Century Fence had an easy online estimate process but, most importantly, followed up with an onsite visit and hard estimate. Their competition wasn't willing to leave their office unless I was ready to finalize. When Mike came out, he answered all my questions and concerns. I felt confident that Century had employees, not subs, who do the job. Their price was fair. Their crew, led by Dennis, were solid pros. They were on time, worked constantly, cleaned up, and completed a beautiful fence. Neighbors are already thinking of hiring them. Happy process from start to finish. Fence is gorgeous. Very happy. Thanks to all involved. read more
