We are big fans of Felice, and this meal was our 4th location. The manager Henry greeted us warmly at the door and was happy to hear we had visited the Brooklyn, 56th St and Old Roslyn locations. The interior was charming and cozy, with an active bar scene. Our server Ruri was very friendly and guided us through specials and new items on the menu. We opened with a new appetizer on the menu: gamberi in salsa rosa, which is a very welcome addition. The sauce was slightly tangy and a perfect accompaniment to the Argentinian shrimp. We also had our reliable starter: the carciofi e calamari fritti (baby artichokes and calamari gently fried and served with a zesty dip). For entrees, we had their housemade spinach ravioli (perfectly al dente, with butter & sage sauce) and a grilled swordfish special. I requested medium rare-medium and out came a delicious piece of fish served with asparagus & capers. They have a nice selection of wines by the bottle and glass (I had a new Albarino white wine) and we love the classic & spicy margaritas. We opted for cappucino instead of dessert this time around (we were stuffed!) and, as always, it was excellent. Reminds me of the neighborhood spots I used to frequent when I lived in NYC. Living there is such a treat for food and wine lovers... so many great places just a short walk away. Love the bar and the cozy, inviting feel of the dining room -- especially with the windows opening right onto the street. This visit, I was downstairs in their private room as a guest at my sister's birthday party. They did a nice job with passed hors d'oeuvres and cocktails, and the meal once seated was well executed. I ordered the Sliced NY Steak with smashed potatoes -- really good. The main bar/restaurant has a great vibe, and the private room is an excellent option for a party (complete with its own bar). Celebrated our anniversary at Felice. The restaurant is small but beautiful. The service was great but there were moments where we sat and waited a while, it was a full house on a Monday night. We started off with the Arancini and Burrata. The burrata was excellent! The Arancini had like a dill creamy sauce that was so good! We shared the Salmone and the Branzino. I feel like the branzino was underwhelming, it was missing a sauce. The SALMONE WAS AMAZING! Wow, I'll definitely return for that dish. There were hits and misses on the menu dependent on your flavor profile, I would give it a 4.5. The salads were great and complimentary bread was amazing. I loved the ravioli, but found the pappardelle with Italian sausage and aromatic herbs more tangy than sweet. We unfortunately had a server that was less attentive to us than others. We found that people that came after us received complimentary bread and their mains before us, although we ordered ahead of time. On a whim I took my friend to supper here, and although they didn't have a table for us at first, the hostess was very kind and seated us in a nice quiet little spot. Our server, Irene was so helpful and kind and warm, recommending an excellent Albariño. starting with perfect arancinini, then onto a homestyle eggplant parm and an uber fresh rucola/carciofi/shaved cheese salad...heaven. my friend had a superb salmon in shells, which i swear had some colatura in it, the brinyness of the dish was so light and deeply flavoured. textbook espresso and a wee dolci.. love el eee! read more

Pretty good food - bruschetta was solid but hoped for a little more. The tomato was just crushed so it was hard not to pull it apart and have one piece with lots of tomato and another with none. The fusilli was super good, with an awesome tomato sauce and the pasta had a great bite to it. The pappardelle salsiccia was a bit disappointing, as it was not very well seasoned, and the sauce lacked flavor. The sausage itself tasted fine. I don't recall seeing any endive in there and the mushrooms didn't really come through. The restaurant itself is nice and vibey, and the staff was friendly, though at times it seemed like the one bartender could've used a hand as he had to help so many people at once and it definitely slowed things down. We had planned to go to a restaurant down the street but I stopped her first to check out the menu, asked if there was outdoor seating available, and so very glad I did. The baked eggplant parmigiana was excellent as a starter. For mains we had the brick chicken (citrus & herb marinated half chicken, rustic potatoes, crunchy artichoke, white wine pan sauce), and the pappardelle salsiccia (sweet italian sausage, braised endive, porcini mushrooms, herbs, truffle sauce). The chicken was divine, well cooked, good portion size, the entire thing was very good. Wished the pappardelle had more meat in it and more of the truffle flavor. I had dinner here recently with a friend before going to a show at the Beacon Theater. We shared the Ravioli della Casa (spinach and ricotta ravioli with a butter and sage sauce, and grated Parmigiano-Reggiano) and the Fettuccine alla Bolognese (veal ragu, 18-month aged Parmigiano-Reggiano). Both were delicious. If we had had more time I would have liked to have tried something from the dessert and coffee menu, but we needed to leave enough time to the Beacon. Fantastic spot with great ambience and easy parking. Service was impeccable. Our server was attentive and even crumbed the table before dessert. The bruschetta was bursting with fresh, chilled tomatoes, and the ricotta toast (with fig and honey) was absolute perfection, the freshest ricotta I've ever had! The papardelle with short rib ragu was rich and flavorful, and the fresh pasta was cooked perfectly. The Milense chicken was thin, crispy, and simply done for those who like a lighter entrée. Dessert stole the show. The tiramisu was hands down the best I've ever had, light, fluffy, and not overly sweet. A very good place to have a pre-concert dinner before heading to a show at the nearby Beacon Theatre. My Forst beer came ice cold in a frosted glass. We started with the Burrata e Prosciutto and the Carciofi e Calamari Fritti. The mozzarella cheese that came with the prosciutto was divinely creamy, while the calamari was very lightly fried. Both were delicious. For my main I had the Linguine Frutti di Mare, which was on point and delicious. My only little complaint is that it could have had some additional shrimp. I was meeting a friend at the steps of the Museum of Natural History with plans to stroll around Central Park and then have dinner. I was asked to make a reservation and I chose Felice 71 on Columbus. I had eaten at a few of their other restaurants and had always been impressed with their consistently delicious entrees. Our server, Andrea was very helpful. I was debating getting pasta with tomato sauce but noticed that there were none with meatballs. Andrea suggested that I could combine their appetizer of meatballs with my spaghetti and have the perfect entree! It was truly outstanding! My friend ordered the Ravioli dela casa, which he exclaimed to me " this is the best ravioli I've ever eaten"! Pretty solid typical Italian restaurant! We walked in with a reservation for Sunday lunch and got seated right away. The actual service was very very fast. We got our entree like 2 minutes after they gave us the complimentary bread. In terms of the food, we got 2 pastas, the pappardelle con salsiccia and the fettuccine alla bolognese. The pappardelle was superrrr salty and oily so I wasn't a huge fan of that. The first few bites are good but after eating more, you start to feel sick because it's so salty and oily. The fettuccine was pretty good. Just your standard bolognese and nothing special. The prices were pretty standard for nyc as well. Overall, I'd give this place a 3.5 but rounding up. This past Friday my bride and I Celebrated our wedding with 10 of our closest friends. I have to say, I couldn't have asked for more from Felice. We had a set menu of the Carciofi e Calamari Fritti & Rucola e Carciofi which were served family style. Both excellent! the calamari was perfectly fried. Our entrees were Fusilli al Ferretto e Burrata & Salmone. I'm proud of my cooking but the Salmon at Felice was some of the juicest I've ever had. Was truely wonderful For desert we had orta al Cioccolato & Torta al Pistacchio The chocolate tarte was great, but the Pisacchio...i'm having dreams about the pistacchio tart. I want one every day. The service was efficent without being obtrusive. And the special things they did. I bake bread. They had no issues with serving my bread. Which they warmed up and served sliced. I had two vegans in my group for which they made special entrees and deserts. As I said at the beginning of this post, I could not have asked for more from Felice. Came here for my husband's birthday, which I mentioned in the reservation. Dined inside this time on a rainy evening. It was restaurant week, so we took advantage of that option. We got bread and olive oil for the table. I got the calamari artichoke starter, my husband got the Bruschetta. I wasn't thrilled about the calamari, the dish was 90% artichoke and the dipping sauce could have used more flavor. For mains I got the Bologonese and my husband got the cacio e Pepe. The texture of the pasta was a bit dried out. I think this dish could have used some herbs and red pepper chilli flakes because overall the dish was bland. For dessert the options were tiramisu or gluten free cake. I asked for the tiramisu and the waitress said she didn't recommend it, which was surprising and I was taken back so I said ok to the gluten free cake. My husband was confused and asked about the tiramisu and why she didn't recommend it and she admitted they were out. Very odd why she didn't just say this from the get go rather than saying she didn't recommend it. When dessert time came she said they actually did have the tiramisu and because of the inconvenience, we could choose any dessert. I got the hazelnut cake and my husband got the cheesecake. The hazelnut cake was the best part of the meal, which really made me think that restaurants should put more thought in choosing the restaurant week menu. I went through so many Italian restaurant week menus and they were so similar even down to the dessert. Choosing items that are memorable, really makes the difference between having a 1 time patron and a repeat patron. The sausage dish they have and the hazelnut cake are two dishes that would be good additions to their restaurant week menu. If it wasn't for the ability to choose any dish, a gluten free chocolate cake would have been a disappointing way to end a lackluster menu. Late in the afternoon, we were walking up Columbus Avenue and noticed this attractive small Italian restaurant, and decided to stop for a glass of wine and a little snack. Well....the snack turned into dinner before too long! The Eggplant appetizer was fantastic! Actually, everything we ordered was excellent. The service was superb...great wait staff...never did a wine glass remain empty or an empty plate linger. We had a helpful discussion with an Italian waiter regarding wine selection. Several times the manager came by to be sure we were satisfied. This restaurant epitomized the concept of "hospitality"! Our visit started well as we were immediately seated for our reservation. Water was poured right away but nearly 15-20 minutes passed before someone came to the table and wanted to take our food order. We asked to order drinks first and we did. It took some time for the drinks to arrive which was surprising given the restaurant was not crowded. We ordered 2 vodka martinis with olives and were served martinis with lemon twists instead. We sent the drinks back and they fished out the lemon and threw in some olives. Still tasted like lemon but we did not complain further as the server was less than friendly to begin with. Food was acceptable but not anything to return for. The entrees were served as the appetizer plates were being removed. One further thing to note: 2 of the dishes ordered (tagliatelle and pappardelle) boasted truffle oil in the list of ingredients. There was absolutely no truffle oil in either dish. It is a lovely space though and looks like there could be outside seating in nice weather but I wouldn't bother. read more

I've been a little hesitant because the menu hasn't enticed me all that much but this time I had the chicken parm special which was excellent. I am always in search of a good chicken parm and this was one of the best. My mom had the lasagna which she ate every bite of, and my friend had the Cacio e Pepe which she loved. My sister and I chose Felice on Columbus Avenue to celebrate our parent's 56th wedding anniversary and the entire experience was perfect notably given the care, attention and kindness of Emma, an assistant manager and Miguel our attentive waiter. We shared appetizers of Caprese and eggplant and tried a variety of entrees including salmon, branzino and chicken parmesan which were all delicious. From start to finish Emma and Miguel were attentive and went out of their way but we were unexpectedly touched by Emma sending over a giant homemade Vanilla gelato to share for the table as a celebratory dessert. My daughter and I order delivery from Felice several times a week and its wonderful to know that Felice on Columbus has cultivated such a warm and inviting neighborhood restaurant.
