Awesome chicken fried steak! Atmosphere really good. Drove 6.5 hrs and showed up an hour before they closed, took us in with a smile. Great staff. read more

We enjoyed it. The atmosphere was good for my kids. They loved watching the trains. I ordered the country fried chicken. It was delicious. I also enjoyed crisp broccoli and home made mashed potatoes. My husband liked his burger and fries. While my son ordered the beef tips which were scrumptious and a nice kids portion. We were seated right away and the service was awesome!!! It's worth the stop. :) read more

The food was really good and portions were nice. We ordered chicken fried steak and grilled chicken. Grilled chicken was awesome. I liked it better than the fried steak. I didn't like the gravy on the top of steak. I should have asked to put it on the side. read more

We were lost around Palo Duro Texas, Grand Canyon. A miracal as a restaurant called Wrong Way Feldmans come into view. Built around a airplane from an aviator who lost his way. A once in a lifetime experience . Good food. read more

We had two meals here last weekend while visiting the canyon state park. The service was fast and friendly, and the food was very good for the price. Recommend the salads, sirloin, slaw, and chocolate moose desert. The decor was fun to look at, particularly the uniquely themed tables and model train. They did a very good job with covid precautions - very clean, tables spaced far apart, letting you wait for your table in the parking lot, good mask hygiene. We had to wait about 20 minutes for a table on Friday night at 7 pm, but has no wait at 5 pm on Saturday. read more

Great service!! Amazing food!! Loved the down home feel!! Chicken fried chicken so yum read more

I don't understand the appeal of this place. I really wanted to like it. It just seemed really run down. The food was also very underwhelming. I was expecting bold country cooking flavors, but it was surprisingly bland. I rarely ever use the salt and pepper on restaurant tables, and I really had to go to town with it here. read more

Delicious food, fantastic service, awesome atmosphere! We had the Hawai'ian chicken and the chicken fried steak. Both were amazing! Their house-made citrus vinaigrette is amazing, too! The decor is neat, and there's a train that runs along a track below the ceiling. Very cool! Definitely a unique place to enjoy a tasty meal. read more

I ate here way back in May. It was the bomb!!! Got appetizer cheddar fries with ranch! We all got country fried steaks!

Terrible .. burger way over cooked. Had to add tons of condiments to make this go down. Place was slow.. waitress seemed annoyed to be at work. The fries were not too bad. Wish we went to Burger King. Would have been cheaper and better. read more

Feldman's Wrong Way Diner - Diners Near Me - Canyon, Texas

See all

It was a very good meal if you got the right things. The potato soup and nachos were not the best but the party enjoyed their ribs and meat.

Wonderful lunch. We loved the teriyaki chicken, hamburger steak and kids steak fingers. Our waitress was so nice. Refilled our tea several times - great tea by the way. Will definitely come back when in the area! read more

Ate here twice on vacation! Our group tried a variety, we can recommend the grilled chicken, fried chicken salad, chicken fried steak and steak fingers! Service is just as good as the food! Highly recommend! read more

I have never been to this restaurant before and overall the food was relatively good I was surprised that they Did not offer a veterans discount. read more

Feldmans is a good place to stop for good, homie food. They don't reinvent the wheel at Feldman's, but all their food is done well. The service was very quick, and we were in and out within and hour. The service was helpful and we felt like we picked the right place in Canyon. Don't go to Feldman's if you're looking for anything particularly healthy, and most of their food is full fat and not made for those on a diet. They have some decent salads but other than that the healthy selections are small. read more

Food, atmosphere and wait staff where all great. Fries are the best! Cool toy train that drives through the resturant and very unique decorations. Worth the drive down from Amarillo if you have the time. read more

Always love the food at Feldman's. You literally cannot go wrong! My favorites are the Salmon Ceasar Salad and the Island Fresh Catfish! Decorations are fun, and the restaurant was named for a Gilligan's Island episode! Casual dining done formally well! read more

Friendly services and good food. Enjoyed watching the toy train sets moving around the restaurant above us

We stopped by on our way back from Palo Duro Canyon and were not disappointed. We found warm and friendly service, great drink deals, and a simple but pretty patio area - outside is even dog friendly!!! Their french fries were pretty boring, but the blackened catfish was tasty and the mac and cheese balls were creamy, cheesy perfection. We will absolutely come again! read more

Good, quick service and a wide range of well prepared foods. My grilled pork chops were cooked just right. The green beans and veggies were a bit bland, but not bad. The fried okra was good, but not amazing. Solid choice overall. It is a bit too noisy in there though. read more

Ordered a ribeye with the house salad. When the salad came out it was old and the lettuce was brown. The ranch was decent though. I had to order extra ranch to cover the salad so i could half way attempt to eat it. Didn't work. The steak and main courses were great and the wait wasn't long to get it. My gf got the Hawaiian chicken and it was really really good. Overall I like this place alot I just hated the salad they brought out to me and couldn't believe they were allowed to serve it. read more

Had grilled chicken salad and the lettuce was rotted. Ate only the chicken which was dry. Will skip this since McD's is close and it's lettuce salad better and cheaper read more

Good food value. Handled a doneness issue with the meat professionally. Good family place. Train is fun.

Always LOVEEEE the shredded chicken queso!!! I could eat the whole bowl by myself!! Diggin the train running through the restaurant, it's always so mesmerizing! The clock wall is for sure one of a kind!! My family and I always leave very happy after eating here! The grilled chicken salad is huge and very tasty! Super juicy chicken breast! Not to mention the ranch is awesome!!! My daughter and I love it!!!! read more

I was hungry, wife was out of town, and I had been working. I forgot to take a picture, but the Tortuga's Chicken and Topped out Baked Potato weren't yet dressed, but imagine the chicken Topped out with melted cheese, topped out with a few bacon crunches, and some chives (courteously of the baked potato, And the baked potato smashed up, topped with butter, sour cream, bacon crunches, (no, I didn't use ALL of the bacon on top of the chicken), and some of the melted cheese, courtesy of the chicken. Needless to say, although it wasn't fancy, being served on styrofoam, but it was good FILLING! Chicken was tender as a mother's Love. Potato was GOOD AND Tasty! I hope my poor wife ate HALF as well! read more

Mac and Cheese! Ridiculously good. Chicken fried chicken, chicken Fried steak fingers- gravy is incredible. Peppery and creamy. If you're willing to throw down 2000+ calories for dinner, this is the spot. read more

As takeout this place is good for a college town! Just a bit pricey. For sit-ins, it's alright. Nothing too special but not anything to be embarrassed about. Foods decent, but I wish they'd bring the few items that they took away back. read more

good food lol fried pickles go hard to god bless the owners for letting me uncle Brent and uncle Marty work their RIP Brent

I live in San Antonio, and my family lives in Canyon. I literally crave the Island Cobb Salad from Feldman's while I'm away. It's a totally unhealthy salad, and that's probably why I love it so much. Their food is always good, no matter what you order. The atmosphere is fun, but they do have a drive up window for call in orders if you're not feeling the whole crowded restaurant vibe. The service is good, and so are the prices. Try it, you'll like it! read more

We ate here while we were in town for a Basketball tournament... I got the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy.. it was seriously some of the best I've ever had... One of my friends got the chopped steak and said it was really good... The other got a salad that she said was great!!! The prices were really good too... Our waitress was sweet... I would recommend this place to others!!! read more

Chicken fried chicken was great and my wife said her grilled chicken was cooked very well. My two girls loved the trains going around the elevated tracks a little too much. They barely ate their dinner because they were so distracted. :-) The service was great and friendly. Next time we are in town I might have to take on the 24oz chicken fried steak platter. read more

Fun decor and great food, and the service was fast and friendly. The chopped steak and chicken tortilla soup were delicious.

I would rename this place Feldman's Wrong CHOICE Diner. Walked in a few minutes after 8 in the evening. Probably 5-7 tables were taken, but there were easily 4-6 different wait staff on duty. We waited well over five minutes to be seated although there was no one in front of us. When we were seated, we asked that the a/c fan be turned off since it was blowing so hard the light fixture over our table was swaying back and forth. The waitress said she'd tell the "general manager" about it. We ordered our meals from the extensive menu. Most off the veggies likely came right out of the frozen food freezer. No freshness here. The chicken fried chicken wasn't bad, but again, not great. We asked a second time for the a/c fan to be turned off. The waitress returned and said the "general manager" said there "was no way to do that since it's connected to the lights!!" BS! When the fan became stronger than ever during our meal, we got up a and left. While paying our bill at the register, I told our waitress we were very unhappy and would NEVER COME BACK. She then did her best to cover for the "general manager" who, by the way, NEVER made a public appearance while we were there. We won't be back and I would highly recommend finding another place to eat while in Canyon. read more

We stayed in Canyon during our road trip to explore Palo Duro Canyon so finding a diner close by was extremely exciting considering how small the town is. We were seated by a woman who was extremely unpleasant and then to our surprise she was also our waitress. Our group was still looking over the menu when she returned and simply said "what do you want?" without even asking if we needed more time. None of us were even ready but we all hastily placed an order because we were still in shock. After my friend ordered the chicken strip basket she asked if she could get barbecue sauce with it and said waitress responded with "Uh huh" as she turned and walked away. We were unaware that asking for sauce would be such an inconvenience for her. The food however was delicious. My friend and I both got chicken strip baskets while my husband got the Hawaiian chicken. My brother got the steak finger basket. All good choices in our eyes if you do find yourself at Feldmans. Now after I was finished eating I happened to be looking down when our waitress approached and didn't even ask if I was done. She grabbed my basket and almost hit me in the face with it. This action was not accompanied with an apology. Overall the food was good and from what we could see other servers looked much happier and friendlier. We just somehow got the short end of the stick on this visit. (I could even put this waitresses name but I'm refraining) I originally was only going to give this place 2 stars but I think if we had been seated in any other servers section we would have had a much better experience. read more

I decided on the Baby Back ribs, mostly because I thought the $14.99 price with two sides was very very reasonable. I cannot remember the last time I saw Baby Backs under $19 for a full slab. WOW. My plate arrived and the ribs were hanging over each end. I was very impressed. They were absolutely delicious. Meaty, moist and the sauce was excellent. Best ribs I have had in years, anywhere. Host said they are cooked slow for 13-14 hours. We were a group of 24 people and we had but one waitress. All our food came out hot and ready to eat. Every one of the 24 people was more than happy with their meal - good quality, good portion size and good value. Our server was excellent. Highly recommend you eat here if given a chance. read more
