Maybe my experience was an outlier?! Seems like this ship center isn't beloved by the masses but I had the most pleasant shipping experience here. A woman with a very thick Rhode Island accent (so comforting) called me sweetheart & went above & beyond to help me figure out my shipping situation. I was in & out in about 8 minutes. My only critique was how quiet it was in the storefront. I feel like shipping details are sometimes sensitive or private. With a dead quiet store, I could hear everything the guy in front of me was explaining to the employee. Some soft music would've covered that right up & made it feel less awkward inside. read more

They "tried to deliver" my package threee times and now are not trying again until Monday. I live in an apartment, them "trying" is going to the lobby door taking a picture of it then leaving. When I called the automated system ran me for an endless loop until I finally managed to find the magic combination of key presses and vocal cues to get a hold of a generic robotic call center person that just repeated that the tried to deliver but "I wasn't't home". I asked for a text message when the are here so I can row to meet them. The call center robot person said ok. Nothing changed the next day. They won't let me go to fedex and get the package. read more

Terrible service. We get packages routinely never from fed-ex - usually an Amazon driver/van. Today we were waiting for a package to be delivered and Fed-ex driver put in that there was a delivery attempt but our address didn't exist. Total BS and we verified with them that they did have our correct address. Called facility and was told we would hear from a dispatcher with new delivery time today- waited around another 1.5 hours and called back only to be told that due to the driver putting it in as incorrect address it could not be delivered until tomorrow. Have now wasted an entire day of my vacation waiting for a package that can't be left on the steps in plain sight the way they usually do no matter how many requests we put in the comments section. Your employee scanned my mail noting that the parcel had been (delivered in Johnston, RI on 2/22/2025 at 11:00 am). This parcel was NOT delivered to this address at 15 Willow Street in Jonston, RI). The following month I moved to a new address When I moved, I filed a change of address (COA) with the USPS and was told that that COA would also include this situation, and the situation would be corrected when the COA was processed through the "system". Now I can't even contact the FedEx station that will be returning the parcel on 5/8/25 (today). read more

I had to order a new credit card because I misplaced mine. I was told by the bank that it would be delivered via Federal Express and that a signature would be required. The delivery guy made two attempts to my residence. But I'd like to know why Federal Express thinks people are home at 9:30 in the morning to sign for packages? Don't they understand that probably 80% of the working population is doing just that? Needless to say, I had to go and retrieve my package at one of their shipping Centers located in Warwick Rhode Island. So I went there and there was only one person working at the counter with three people ahead of me. And one of those people had 5 huge boxes. Ugh. Got my new card (of course I found the misplaced card yesterday in one of the purses that I hadn't used in awhile so I'm an idiot.) Fed Ex should have their drivers deliver to homes in the late afternoon like UPS does. And they should have more people at the counter on a busy Saturday afternoon. read more

Consistent Predictable Tolerable "Consistent, predictable, and tolerable" are pretty much all I'm looking for in a ship center, and are better than I can say for the main competitor offices in the area (see "den of despair" UPS nearby). More times than I'd prefer or think necessary, a shipper has required my signature and I wasn't at my place to provide it. Three attempts were then made to my door and predictably I couldn't be there; nevertheless, this reliable fallback has always been saving my parcel for two extra business days (excluding Saturdays) after third attempt, which is all I typically need - and I've had success extending that window a day or two if I ask nicely. The counter staff are clearly not thrilled with their jobs, but I can't blame them, and service has generally Ben with more of a half-smile than a full frown. Here, I'll take it. A-OK. read more

I've been here three or four times over the past few years, when I've needed to send documents overnight to meet a mortgage closing deadline, or, like today, when I needed to ship a return from an online purchase. For some reason, I don't like to rely on a drop box; I'd rather deal with a live person, in case I have a question. The location is a bit inconvenient (some ways off Jefferson Boulevard), and very cramped. I've never seen all the customer service stations fully manned, but then again, I've never had to wait too long to be helped, even though it's been moderately busy each time I've gone. Service here is average; employees aren't the most friendly, but they get the job done. They do sell some shipping boxes, although they seemed expensive. read more

Rude and completely incompetent people. Their delivery people come super early before normal business hours then scan the package at exactly 9:01 am to make it look legit. Then they refuse to re-deliver even though it's an overnight package that cost a fortune to ship, citing that they can't contact their own drivers from dispatch. They also can't even manage to hold the package at the warehouse for pickup later in the day. But, the real cherry on top is the moron on the phone who no only refuses to try to offer any help, he's just outright rude and hangs up on us. DUMP FedEx, the company is full of morons in RI. Would not let me ship a package...turned me away because the address on my license did not match my return address I wrote down. Then when I tell her fine I'll change the return address to match my id she says no. People move.....When I was active duty my address never matched the address on my state ID. Some new rule fed ex has. She suggested I have someone else ship the package for me, Someone who's return address matches their license. I just went down the road and shipped it myself. This fedex is hidden down whiney street about 1mile from Warwick mall. I was expecting the worst when I arrived in parking lot, it had opened an hour earlier and parking lot had many cars. I will say there is ampul parking for the busy season. I walked and only a few people ahead of me. The gentleman who was at the counter was very friendly and I was happy to show my id to collect my 2 pkgs as they where very very expensive! That made me feel a little safer yesterday. I was in and out within 10min. Everything went smoothly and my 2 pkgs where in great shape when I got home, I was worried as they both where a breakable item. Store was clean, service was good, store is super small so I'm guessing with 10 people inside putting together pkgs in the next coming holiday weeks I suggest going during the week to mail things or pickup. This entire FedEx experience has been horrible. A two day express package took 6 days to get from NJ to RI. Getting to speak to human at the Warwick Office Requires an act of God. I can not pickup the package, cause it is still in the shipping container (according to Customer support). They say possible delivery tomorrow, I am betting on two to three days to get the package from Warwick to Johnston (Approx. 12 miles). In the future I will pay extra, or refuse to purchase from anyone using FedEx. read more

During the week, best time to come is after the morning rush around 9:30-10:30am. Nice and very efficient staff here. I visited with one of my kids in tow. A woman came out from the back room and handed my kid a coloring book. It was a nice gesture and it kept my kid occupied while I was trying to mail packages off. I'm a fan! read more

Let me just say how dissapointed i am in this company...i order from chewy.com all the time and they use this company to deliver...well sadly I've had nothing but issues with their drivers, I live in East Providence time for some odd reason the drivers cannot deliver my package to my home they do not read the label and they bring it half way across town to a different address that doesn't even match what's on the label or they bring it for houses down because they cannot decipher between a 3 and a 9, the last issue we had I figured I would send my packages to my elderly parents house maybe they would get the address right and they did the only problem is the driver busted my parents door to their patio to the point where they could not get out of their home safely since that is the only exit and entrance they own, I called chewy they put in a claim to FedEx as did myself I had to repeatedly get in touch with them by sending photos and a receipt of a paid job to get the door fixed ASAP and after over a month they send back an email claiming that there is no evidence that their driver did any damage to the door and has denied the case so on that note be very careful on where you get your deliveries from read more

Can not be counted on. They only deliver what they want. Just because you pay for second day delivery does not mean they will honor it. Then they tell you to take up the charge with the company you placed the order with. In other words if you don't complain they will still bill the other guy. Which adds to your cost of business. When asked why it's not delivered on time they will tell you the truck is to full and the driver could not get to all his stops. This is a tough one put on more drivers ! UPS is required to make an attempt to deliver all packages on their truck. read more

Service is absolutely poor!!! On more than on one occasion, we've scheduled a pick up around 1pm/noon and our building closes at 5, so that gives them roughly 4-5 HOURS to come down the street to pick up. We would STILL be here waiting for someone to come pick up our biological specimen (that is IMPERATIVE it get out over night/next day) at around 7pm. Their excuse is ALWAYS "the driver went out but no one was available" or "the driver couldn't find the building"...if you can't find the building you CALL the number on the package and ask!!! LAZY!!!! Absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. I am still sitting at my desk as we speak waiting for a PHONE CALL for someone to tell me WHEN to expect the driver to come pick up this important package. REALLY?? We scheduled at 2pm and it's nearly 6pm...and mind you our building closes at 5 so everyone has gone home for the day. We've been waiting 4 hours. I recently made a purchase and was unaware that a two-day shipping did not include the weekends. In fact, not only does it not include weekend delivery - but it is scheduled for delivery Tuesday (12/2), not Monday - why I am not sure. Therefore, I contacted customer support on Saturday to see if I could pick my item up at the local Shop center (40 minutes away), as I noticed that the item was currently at that location - per online tracking. The customer service rep said in fact I could go and pick up the item any time between then and Tuesday. I drove 40 minutes, only to be informed that the item was not there - and was unavailable due to being packed in a crate that they didnt have time to sort through. They explained that the customer service department often has no idea what is actually happening and was not surprised I was misinformed. I called customer service (once again), to express my discontent - only to be told that is was pretty much "too bad" and there is nothing they will do. I was exptremely upset with the poor customer service/care and flexibility to make things right. I feel that at the very least the item could have become priority and the care team could have made effort to make my item available for at least Monday - but no. Nor did anyone suggest refunding my shipment charge (or even part) for the inconvenience and poor package handling. I will NEVER use FedEx again for my shipment needs. read more
