I did mention yelp when I made the reservation and did not receive a discount which is disappointing. I also was not informed when I booked that there would be a 3% charge for using credit cards. I ended up paying in cash to avoid this. My only complaint is that I left two voicemails on two separate days and my calls were never returned. My Compliments are to the movers and not the business. I would use these movers again.

I should have read the review on BBB before hiring People's Moving. Their reviews on movinghelp.com…read moreand on here were good, though I cannot imagine why. They called me a few weeks before scheduled delivery & unload of my u-box, and we agreed on 8:30am on the scheduled date. A week later, they called to schedule again, which I thought was a little weird, but I brushed it off as a mistake and reminded them we had already scheduled it for 8:30am, and the woman I spoke with agreed and apologized. Flash forward to the date of the move-in. About fifteen minutes before scheduled arrival, I tried to call to make sure they could find the place, as my place is located on a sort of hidden culdesac. No answer from the number listed here or on the one provided by uhaul. I went back through my call history and found the number that had originally called me to schedule (with a tx area code). No answer, but right after hanging up I received a text from that number. Here's how that conversation went: People's Moving: Hi, I missed a call from this number? Me: Hi! I had spoken to someone on this number from people's movers before? People's Moving: Yes how can I help you? People's Moving: I'm sorry I'm driving Me: No worries! I'm meant to have a uhaul ubox delivery and unload this morning and just wanted to confirm Me (twenty minutes later): They were meant to be here 15 minutes ago & the uhaul storage facility says the box hasn't been picked up. Me (twenty more minutes later): Hello? Those last two text messages weren't delivered. I also tried calling, and after one ring my call went to voicemail. In other words, they blocked my phone number. Movinghelp.com and Uhaul also tried to contact them on my behalf, to no avail. So 4 hours after they were scheduled to arrive, I'm trying to find a moving company available for same day service. This company is run by complete incompetence, if it is run at all. Save your money, time, and stress levels, hire someone else from the start.

They sped through packing up everything in RI and I was surprised when I heard from my friend that they were already en route to my home in MA. When I returned home that evening (my husband was home during the move), the first thing I saw were 3 large pieces of an armoire placed on top of my trash barrels outside with part of the facade laid on top. The remaining parts of the armoire were broken in multiple pieces. One shelf was missing. A painted bureau that had been in perfect condition prior was found to have a broken base that later completely collapsed. Three of the legs were split with missing shards. Another bureau had black streaks on the front. Finally, they were also unable to move an armoire out of a room, a piece was successfully moved into that same room years ago and that I was to deliver to a friend. This was absolutely the worst job I have ever seen. They do not even deserve one star. I provided detailed photo's of the broken parts to the company, but they made up their own version of the events and did not agree to a complete refund ($1280 with tip). They offered us $100 initially and then $300 when we protested. I now have to pay for the repairs and am not sure I will see any of the money. To add insult to injury I am missing a pair of gold earings that had been left in my room and suspect they may have taken them. My parent's independent living facility required that I select a mover on their "trusted" list. My brother had used Lawton movers the week prior based on the price they offered him and their seeming nice to deal with on the phone. Had they been careful and gone more slowly, they certainly would have made more money. In the end it would have paid off for me.

Once they placed our furniture in it's forever home, they wanted to make sure everything was where we wanted it to be and relocated a few pieces. We can highly recommend this company. A shout out to Kenny, Chris and Stefan; very nice guys with pleasant and respectful attitudes.; they worked so hard and it was a hot, humid day! Jim is lucky to have such great employees. Extremely Disappointing Experience with RA Movers -- Unprofessional and Unacceptable Service…read more Our experience with RA Movers was extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend this company based on the service and professionalism we received. To start, they left our 70-inch TV behind in their truck, and we were left trying to get answers about when our property would actually be delivered. Communication and accountability were frustrating from the beginning. Even more concerning was the behavior of the owner. During phone conversations with both my wife and me, the owner came across as condescending, confrontational, and seemingly intent on bullying rather than addressing our legitimate concerns professionally. Customers should never have to deal with that kind of attitude when simply asking a company to take responsibility for its mistakes. On top of everything else, RA Movers filmed videos for their own promotional content despite both my wife and me explicitly stating that we did not consent to being filmed for that purpose. Despite our clear objections, the videos were posted anyway. Disregarding customers' stated boundaries and then using that footage for promotional purposes is completely unacceptable. Mistakes can happen in any business, but how a company handles those mistakes says everything about its character. Forgetting a customer's property, treating customers disrespectfully when they raise concerns, and disregarding their objections to promotional filming demonstrate a serious lack of professionalism and accountability. Moving is already stressful enough without having to chase down missing belongings and deal with an owner who makes the situation worse instead of resolving it. I strongly recommend considering other moving companies. Based on our experience, RA Movers fell well short of the level of service, communication, respect, and accountability that customers should reasonably expect from a professional moving company.

TL;DR-he didn't schedule enough people for our move, the movers were booked for another appointment before coming to our house and were about five hours late. This resulted in having them over until midnight and coming back the following day. And, of course, he placed the entire overspend on me and my wife. What was supposed to be about a $1,200 expense ballooned to over $2,300. Honestly, I'm surprised this guy is still in business. Go literally ANYWHERE else for help!

He was so out of shape that he was gassed in the first three hours. He stood and watched the guy in the truck pack the truck. Training is not supposed to happen on the job if a client is paying for you as a worker. I'm 57 years old and I had more hustle in me than this young guy. Half way through the move they sent another guy to help out and keep the cost of 3 guys but he had smoked-up and also ran out of energy before the job was done. My boxes were all labeled and they piled them up in the living room. I had to ask them to bring them to the kitchen etc. They wanted me to pay before they were even finished. There's more to write, I just don't want to relive it. Not once did anyone act with urgency, I moved the entire storage unit myself. If I would have relied on the movers it would have cost me two more hours. The trainee scratched my kitchen table, I brought it to the lead movers attention, it did not factor into reducing the cost. If I damaged a clients property I would expect to be charged, no consideration was given when we paid the bill.
