I had 2 deliveries on the truck yesterday, 5 boxes total, and I watched the truck drive by me while I was standing outsided. I don't give a crap if it's 6 p.m. and you want to just be done with your route. If the site shows you are headed my way with the packages and shows the driver name, I know my stuff is on the truck when you drive by our business. I know your face. You deliver here regularly. Unable to deliver packages on time and when they do deliver them they just throw them on the driveway and damage them. I do not understand how they are still in business. 75% of my packages end up delayed or damaged and no one at FedEx can ever tell me why. I can get behind this FedEx location for 2 big reasons - 1) this space (on Ellesmere Ave, near the Military Hwy-Robin Hood Rd intersection) is nearby and 2) they're open until 7:30p (I arrived a little after 7p). I dropped off a package that was going to Samsung in Texas, and since Samsung provided a shipping label, I was in and out in under a minute. Be aware of Fedex employees that are scammers ! If I could give FedEx a zero negative rating, I absolutely would. My recent experience has been one of the most unacceptable and alarming failures I have ever encountered from any delivery service. Two of my packages were marked as delivered, yet they were left at a completely incorrect address an address not even located within my community. This goes far beyond a simple mistake and represents a serious breakdown in delivery accuracy and responsibility. When I contacted FedEx, I was told that the driver would retrieve my packages from the incorrect location and deliver them to correct location . The next day, I was informed that FedEx was trying to reach the driver and could no longer reach the driver. How could you not reach your driver FedEx when you employed these drivers? For a major corporation, the inability to contact a driver and provide any accountability for customers' items is both concerning and unacceptable. What makes this situation even worse is the complete lack of urgency and transparency. No updates, no accountability, and no real solutions have been offered. Given the circumstances, it raises legitimate concerns about whether there may be improper and suspicious activity occurring within the delivery process. These events do not align with what anyone would consider a routine delivery error. This entire situation has been stressful, frustrating, and extremely unprofessional. It has completely destroyed my confidence in FedEx's ability to deliver packages securely and reliably. I am requesting immediate escalation to a higher level representative, a thorough investigation into both the handling of my packages and the driver's actions, and a clear explanation of how a situation this concerning was allowed to occur. At the very least, customers deserve honesty, accountability, and secure delivery practices. If negative zero stars were an option, FedEx would have earned it. read more

Waited two days in a row for a package that never showed up, nor did a driver come to the address. They have lazy workers who lie about delivery attempts and cause a delay in receiving packages. Would never recommend Norfolk's branch. It's an embarrassment to FedEx and Norfolk. I've filed a formal complaint. The time constantly changes of when my iPhone will be delivered. If you all were like Amazon it would be nice for the driver to be able to call to let us know they're at the door or at least see when the package is 5 blocks away because not being able to even speak to a phone rep so they can reach out to the driver is ridiculous. Well when I went to the 2600 ellsmere Ave. The lady at the black lady at the front acted very unprofessional saying I can't do names or addresses. This center has lost or failed to deliver every single "signature required" overnight package I've ever ordered. There is 0 accountability anywhere in management and after 5 calls to customer service trying to get someone overseeing operations to return a call for why my overnight package is 4 days late, they still can't pick up the damn phone to even make a phone call. This is a $2,500 package I paid to overnight, it cost me a day and a half off work to try and be there for this package, and I can't even get someone to pick up the damn phone. If this happened at my work, every single person involved would be looking for a new job the next morning... and since it's happened to me on 3 separate occasions I can just imagine how many thousands of people they've done this to. Absolutely pathetic service. I hope this location goes out of business so I don't have to worry about my packages only having FedEx as an available shipper. Seriously worst customer service I've encountered in quite some time. Older gentleman working the counter clearly had an issue. Didn't greet me, dropped the tape gun on the counter and told me to "seal it" and I think that may be the only two words he said to me. Clearly he had an issue of some sort.. 4/10 I had to reach out to the company because the package I mailed off here was destroyed. After meeting and dealing with their jovial employees, I'm not at all shocked. That's the first and last time I will ever use this location. I wish I could give them no stars, because I would. I will never willingly use fedex, especially the Norfolk, VA ship center. They gave me a 4 hr window, where I have to take time out of my day to eait around for them to deliver an envelope. Only to leave at the end of that window and they show up 15 min later. They then tell me I can come pick the package up, and finish their delivery for them. Excuse me, I am not an employed delivery driver. Their customer service explained no other options than me doing their job for them or waiting for another 4 hr period the following day. The supervisor I was transferred to says, "No problem, let me contact that office to see if we can get it delivered in the next 15-30 min." You can probably assume, he never called back. I get the automated text to sit around for another 4hr yet again today. I wish there was a way to take down horrible service companies like this! read more

I'm picturing drunken hillbillies shooting at the box and delivering it untied in the back of a muddin' pick-up. These aren't scratches, the furniture is structurally unsound now. This happened TWICE. FEDEX, your job is literally to move an object from one place to another in one piece. It isn't rocket-science. This location is located off a winding and twisting airport road tucked away from the main terminal area of the Norfolk International Airport. You can also access it coming from Robin Hood Road which turns into Airport Road at some juncture. Parking is a little dicey. It's not exactly located in front of the center and it's not distinctive. There are cargo trucks interspersed with privately owned vehicles with traffic coming and going. As such, keep your head on a swivel as this location can get busy. Once inside, you won't exactly be blown away with chic modern decor with handsome aesthetic minimalism interior design. Nope. The place is drab and boring but I've never seen it disheveled in any of my visits. My personal experience with the staff at this location leads me to describe them as professional, informative and courteous. Service doesn't take long. They're pretty efficient. I don't want to be misleading and say that you'll be in and out in a snap but compared to my waiting time at the USPS, this location gets it done in a timely manner. read more

I shipped an item on 12/16. I was told it would be delivered by 6pm on 12/17. Here it is 12/21 and the item has not been delivered. I went to the shipping center and was told to call customer service. I call customer service and was basically told we suspended the money back guarantee, so too bad so sad. We keep your $160, don't deliver your package and there is nothing you can do about it. That's unacceptable! Fedex is stealing from customers while not honoring their service agreement and that is wrong!!!! Times are hard. Using FedEx to ensure the items would be delivered by a certain date and incurring the cost of $160 was a sacrifice! FedEx needs to do better!! FedEx, stop stealing from customers!! read more

I really don't want to give it 1 star. We shipped out on the 13th to Guam, paid priority for it to arrive by the 17th. It didn't. When we called to find out the status, they didn't even know where the pkg was for days and that was with the tracking number. Unbelievable. It finally arrived on the 22nd...5 days late. They said that we would be charged only shipping and not priority and our card would be credited. Since FedEx is prepaid unless you have an account, we didn't give it much thought after that; however, a couple of weeks ago, we got a letter from collections. Really? How do you get something in collections that was PREPAID? They didn't deliver the service they promised on their end and they didn't credit us like they said. We would not have known had we not gotten the collections letter. Anyway...after several phone calls and the run around more times than I care to count, we got a letter of credit. They would not tell give us a letter for our records stating that it was an error on their part in the event that it went on our credit report. Did I mention that half of the people that you speak with on the phone are plain nasty? I wish there were more alternatives. People! If you are going to use FedEx to ship, make sure that you check your bank statement if your package is not delivered promptly. They are not honest unless you demand that they be. read more

FedEx is now on my permanent "list." I'm reviewing this location as it seems this is where Norfolk deliveries commence. Shipped a time sensitive document package to Norfolk using "FedEx First Overnight" which "guarantees" delivery by 8:00AM the following day. Tracking shows it arrived at Norfolk at 7:24AM. That's cutting it close, but even then, it shows "out for departure" at 10:12. 2 hours and 12 minutes after it was due to be delivered. So, you'd think an express package that was already late, and already on a truck, would get delivered sooner than later. You'd think wrong, later as in about as late as it gets, as in too late, ultimately delivered at 6:05 PM. So it was on that delivery truck, meandering around for almost 8 hours. 10 hours late altogether. Never ever will I use FedEx again. read more

OMG. I will *never* use FedEx ever again. Ordered a new laptop through Newegg and it shows delivered to my porch at 12:01 today. Yet I have been out on my porch ALL morning, no package. Called FedEx and the customer service rep was incredibly rude. When I asked to speak to her manager, she tried to tell me I would have to call back later. I refused, and was eventually given over to a manager. Their policy is not to even open a ticket for 48 hours. 48 hours from now is Christmas Eve, which means that due to the holiday, anything I submit won't even process for a week. I paid for shipping, and am so angry at their completely shitty service that I could spit. Being in the military my job is sometimes unpredictable and I was called in on my day off so I was not home to get the delivery. After going to the store at 2600 Ellsmere Avenue in Norfolk Virginia, the team worked diligently to get the package to me so that I could move forward with my appointment. The guy in the store was in constant contact and did everything he could to help me. It renewed my faith in humanity because they understood how important this was to me and they gave me there all.
