I was looking for a place to eat lunch after trying out a church. I drove by a few other places before landing g this one. I noticed there were a lot of people eating inside and who does not like Italian food?! The place was really clean and I noticed a large variety of entrees being consumed by the many people eating inside g in the dining room. I ordered a chicken salad and a drink from a very warm and welcoming lady at the counter name, Yolanda. The price was really reasonable. I noticed Yolanda staying on top of cleaning g the tables in between running the front register. She also noticed the (real) folks were low and asked someone to bring up more. She also was very friendly and interested in getting to know some of the customers as they were passing through. She showed genuine interest in their experience and offered a bag and containers for their leftovers. I LOVE IT when you encounter great people working with the public. I do not know Yolanda. I had never gone when it was around the first time. So I needed to give it a couple tries lol. I did not get pictures but went last night. I got the baked spaghetti and meatballs and it was bomb. Never had it before and my bf was excited it came back to Arizona (or near us which ever). It was ok. I had higher hopes. I love bread and when I saw unlimited garlic bread I was so excited. Joined the rewards club and placed an order for dinner tonight since today's been crazy. The order was ready within the promised time. I was going to try to go through the drive thru but there were cones blocking my entrance. They appeared to be fully staffed. Lasagna is meaty and about as good as decent catered. Noodle was Al dente which complimented the sauce thickness. Fettuccine Alfredo is cheesy rich creamy. It was better than Italian chain restaurants that also have free breadstix. Not as good as maggianos but price appropriate. Bread sticks were the best thing about the place. Came here for dinner with the family. We were nearby and my husband used to come here when he was a kid. We did order quite a bit of food. I got the classic sample my youngest got pizza, my husband got t some type of spaghetti and pizza and my oldest got an Italian sandwich. We spent almost $70 which I did feel was a bit much. I will say the negative was we all pretty much ate all our food before my oldest got his. Fazolis is so nostalgic to me and I'm so glad they are back in the valley!! This location took over the old Boston Market location and has dine in and drive thru options. I feel like the menu is way bigger than I remember but it's great because there is lots of options. Pasta, pizza, subs, salads. The customer service was super friendly from the guy at the drive thru in this ridiculous hot summer heat to the gals at the window. All courteous and friendly. We went thru the drive thru the week it opened and it was pretty busy but moved quickly! We ordered a club sub, loaded baked spaghetti and the ultimate sampler which has fettuccine Alfredo, pasta with meat sauce, spaghetti with meatballs and lasagna the meals included 2 breadsticks as well. It was around $45 for everything which I felt was pretty steep for a fast casual. The sub was really good and the pastas were edible but definitely not as good as I remembered. This place is definitely like stepping back into a memory. I gave 3 stars bc the drive thru wait was like 15 minutes and there's no online ordering. I had the oven baked classic sampler and strawberry cheesecake. Portion size is good. It's enough for 2 meals and I eat a lot, so it's a good value. It was pretty good, I thought I was going to remember that it was better than it was, but it was a good surprise. The Alfredo sauce on the girls meals was yummy, but barely any noodles. They could have at least covered the bottom. Needless to say I had to go home and cook for them. Came with a generous amount of bread sticks my husband could enjoy. Not greasy. Very buttery, like most people would like. Not as fresh and good as they were back in the day. I know it isn't the local business, per se, but they are partners, right? Anyway, came to Glendale location and it was good. Pretty, red sauce was properly red. It grows on you. This might have been the funniest restaurant ordering experience ever. We went during the soft launch. As soon as I opened the doors, a kid at the cash register said, "Welcome to .... Uh... uh...." and the girl working next to him is like, "... Fazoli's!" "Oh yeah. Fazoli's!" Man, what a first impression. We started ordering and then they told us they can't do any transactions because their card readers weren't working. I asked if I could pay cash. After a huddle with a couple managers, they said I could do that. Then he asks what kind of drink I wanted, and I asked "what do you have?" I kid you not, he says, "We don't have any sodas right now. The soda machine isn't working." By this point, of course. Why would the soda machines be working? Fortunately, the drive through soda dispenser was working. I got chicken parm and my wife got spaghetti with meat sauce. Here's the deal. It's basically Olive Garden quality food in a fast food format. It's fine for what it is and a lot cheaper than OG. And we got a ridiculous number of breadsticks over the course of our dinner. I'm sure that kid knows where he works by now and their equipment bugs are worked out. When myself and my wife came in the lady was more concerned about the conversation that she was having with the guy with the snakes around his neck. I was a fan of Fazoli's before they closed down and was very disappointed when they did. I saw they opened one by me but was kinda scared to try it because it might not be the same Well I finally did and was not disappointed!! Ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce. Tasted the same as before. Even the noodles were cooked to perfection. The breadsticks were also very tasty. The only thing that wasn't the same was they didn't pass out more breadsticks in the dining area like they did before. I still recommend this place! And I would definitely come back. We were so excited to come back to Fazoli's again after the great disappearance of 2008. SBL and I were stoked to see a new Fazoli's up and running. We parked, went in and at first glance it was super clean, neat, the breadstick girl was making her laps, and the staff were ready for orders or so we thought. (Worlds longest sentence) We ordered the meatball sub with no pepperoni for mini me, lasagna for me and Sbl wanted the spicy ziti. Got home and to our surprise the majority of our order was wrong, insert sad face here. They gave me spaghetti and meatballs and put pepperoni all over mini me's sub. It was like they gave us extra pepperoni which is the exact opposite. Called the manager Carlos who was super accommodating and pleasant to talk with, said we could have a remake or a refund. Post tasting the spaghetti and a meatballs we opted for the refund. I told Sbl we should have never gone back to relive our childhood memories. Sbl said Fazoli's was not our childhood or in any part of our lives growing up. I told him to speak for himself. Having said that, this place was a freakish disappointment. The bread sticks had a funky smell and taste; no offense to breadstick girl. The meatballs tasted like frozen meatballs from the grocery store freezer section. The spicy in the ziti was just some chili flakes. Believe me we tried hard to find the goodness in the food, but it was sadly all around a whak. We were shocked with the amount of staff behind the counter just talking, hanging out and messing around. Even the district manager was there on her laptop at a booth. It was sad that none of these people didn't do the slightest of checks to make sure the orders were right at an almost whopping $50 for lunch. I was met by cashier Beth she was so friendly and patient as we ordered, the we gor our food and before we started to eat I got up to get a drink and was met by Gloria this lady was amazing her personality and willingness to help was above and beyond , then a lady named Trisha came over and wowed us with her amazing personality and friendliness and everyone was so professional. We were also very happy to see that you can only enter the drive thru one way so other people can't come a different way and get in front of you and then there is a fight in line. There breadsticks are amazing! We went into the restaurant and the place was very clean and loved the smell of garlic. We got a bunch of different pastas and enjoyed them all. The sub we had actually had a good amount of meat and toppings on it. The reason for 3 stars is I was bummed that I did not get to use my phone number or scan my rewards card cause the cashier gal told us that the scanner doesn't work but I'm opted to either have my rewards card scanned or give my phone number. So I was bummed that I lost $60 dollars worth of reward points cause the scanner doesn't work but I could have given my phone number. The worker also told us there scanner is always broken but again I could have given my number. So happy Fazoli's is back but super disappointed if I can't get my rewards to earn items. read more
