First, I absolutely apologized to you during our conversation. I also explained that the owner is rarely present, and I had personally been off for four days when the complaint occurred. As soon as I was notified, I immediately contacted another customer regarding the matter. I was also unaware that you had requested a callback, as the night crew had not yet arrived at the time. Additionally, I never stated that people were smoking weed inside our restaurant or bar. What I explained was that if patrons come in from outside carrying an odor, that is unfortunately something beyond our control. We cannot discriminate against customers or make accusations without cause. However, if I personally witnessed someone smoking near our building, I would absolutely ask them to move farther down the sidewalk out of respect for our guests and neighboring businesses.
