Let's be honest. The glory days of Fazoli's are long over. A once deliriously fun Italian chain has become little more than a corporate joint for cheap eats and faux Italian. That said, the free breadsticks are still around and there's still something about those pizza slices that grab me. So, once in a while I still visit. I pulled into this Avon location of Fazoli's intent on grabbing a couple pepperoni slices, a couple breadsticks, and unsweetened iced tea (Lipton, as I recall - definitely not a favorite). The person working the drive-thru was super friendly. Good sign. However, I had to laugh when I got up to the window. My bill was $9.03. To avoid them having to give a bunch of chain, I offered up $10.03 expecting a buck in chain. The employee took at least 2-3 minutes to get what I had done. He kept saying "$10 is enough." After about three minutes, so much for saving time, it finally registered and the transaction continued. I'd always heard about things like this happening, but wow. The food? It was fine. The breadsticks definitely don't have that special quality they used to have. They're perfectly fine. They just taste, well, cheaper. The pizza slices were enjoyable. The pepperoni distribution was solid, the sauce was tasty, and while I'd say there's also a definite drop here it was still enjoyable. For $9.03, I satisfied my pizza slice craving and had a decent but far from amazing meal. Would I return? Sure. Do I crave a return? Nope. Most unfriendly people. When I ask that our sandwiches be cut into. 2 pieces they didn't. Ask for boxes as in the past we're told NO. So after paying at the drive-through. I went inside and asked for three boxes and picked up knives and forks in plastic to use. Since none of that was something they wanted to put with our order. Stopped in to get a double slice and some breadsticks. I feel like something has changed on their pizza sauce. It was not the same as I remembered it from a couple years ago. They were also slow in the drive-through. I don't know if that's typical or not as I've not been here for a couple years. Another strange thing that happened was I tried using a three dollar coupon on spending $10 or more. My total was $10.12 and the guy said it was too close to $10 for it to work. I like Fazoli's because I like Italian cuisine. And I like the consistency of chains, knowing the menu ahead of time regardless of the location and knowing my expectation of their food quality will usually be met. This was my first visit to the Avon location. There is plenty of parking available in their big parking lot. I usually rely on the Pick 2 Lunch Deal and did so today. I ordered my favorite, Lasagna, and tried their Side Salad. I chose the Caesar dressing. This was my first time sampling their Caesar dressing and I didn't care for it at all. It tasted like it had too much pepper in it but upon reading the ingredients found no pepper content. I don't know why my palate rejected it other than it just wasn't as tart like I'm used to. My palate could be messed up from the major surgery I had six weeks ago. No worries, the lasagna was awesome as always and the breadsticks were superb as usual. One thing Fazoli's gets absolutely right every time are their breadsticks. And I really like how they prefer you leave your dishes on the table so they can bus them. I'm sure that saves wear and tear on the ceramic dishes they use for serving and accidental trashing of the their real flatware. read more

This Fazolis is horrible, speakers dont work at the drive through and then they get mad at the customer because they cant hear them, also at check out the girl there had a nasty attitude, as of her clumped up make up and lip liner made her look any better on the inside, I said thank you multiple times and she didnt respond, and just said yup, they have horrible and bad customer service, if you can, avoid this location. read more

Great food for the price point. We had quick service and the staff was very helpful even though they were swamped. I love their bread sticks. They are way better than Olive Garden's. There pizza pretty good. And I had the chicken Parmesan it was delightful and especially at a $8.50 charge .all in all great visit especially for a Sunday at lunch time. read more

Haven't been to a Fazoli's since college so this definitely hit the spot! Brought back so many great memories. The minute we walked in the staff greeted us which was a nice. We ordered our food and quickly sat down. I ordered half fettuccine and half lasagna (which is new to the menu!) and loved it. I love that I get to have a verity. Docking one star because the edges of the lasagna was a bit over cooked but overall the taste was good. If I am honestly speaking though, I only come for the unlimited breadsticks when you dine in. Did someone say UNLIMITED?!? Warm, buttery, and just perfect. Overall great experience and I will definitely be back to relive some more memories! read more

The food was alright but definitely not the best. The kids pizza was probably the best tasting. The pasta meals just tasted really flavorless. The breadsticks here are so greasy and salty I couldn't eat them. We were able to go in and get a seat right away. I'm not a fan of ordering for myself at the kiosk because then I can't ask any questions. There was nobody working the front counter just the kitchen. So I guess your supposed to order & pay on your own at the kiosk, and have a seat. read more

So back again after many months. They have changed. I think for the better You can now place your own order on an impressive touch screen. There is still a team member and register available if you wish. The food we all ordered was all well cooked and tasted good. As usual the breadsticks were good. The bins were empty of silverware. It took 18 minutes to get our food. Texas Roadhouse was quicker last night and we had steak!! The floor was filthy. My daughter loves Fazoli's so I brought her here. She is 15 and she happened to pick kids eat free night. (Do not go on Tuesdays if you don't have younger kids). I could tell by the sad faces when we walked in people had been waiting a long time. We ordered and got our drinks. I felt $19 for 2 pieces of pizza and a little pasta meal was a bit prices but my daughters happiness is priceless. Our food came out pretty quick. My daughters pizza did not look good but she enjoyed it. My pasta was alright. I just ordered something quick and it was a pesto chicken thing but was over the top w cheese and Alfredo. And I am lactose intolerant but I ate it anyway. (I did regret that later) The staff was nice, brought us the extra breadsticks I asked for. My only issues is they want to clean the dishes off the table but they were insanely busy so it just seemed messy. I feel it is expensive for what you get and drinks are still separate. Over the years, I haven't been able to really eat and enjoy Fazolis food because it doesn't have as much quality taste/flavor as I believe it once did. However, the Original Italian Lemon Ice is still one of my favs. I like it better than ice cream or sorbet on a hot day. The icy part gives me a little more kick than just a regular lemonade. I do not live anywhere near a Fazoli's restaurant, but when I knew this one was near my trip route, I made the detour. I have always liked food such as theirs, and other locations are always great. Google was not surprisingly off a bit when I first searched for this place while on the interstate. It listed Fazoli's as "near me" when it happened to be more like thirty miles away. I chose to drop in anyhow. Be advised, Google was also off with other locations when I compared them in the area. That all having been said, the food was just as great as I remembered, and the service was great! It's fast food, but home-made-style Italian with the idea that it needs to be easily made portable. I was pleased! Pros: Fazoli's is fast-food Italian and done very good. I actually like it better than a lot of the finer sit down places that are definitely not fast. They have a varied menu and make Italian food portable in creative ways. Cons:There aren't enough of them around. Also, this particular location is easily accessed locally, but not for out-of-town commuters. read more

This place is just an average ol' Fazcoli's. The food was average. It arrived fresh and hot to the table, but my spaghetti just didn't have a lot of sauce on it. That made for a dry noodle eating experience. The young staff here was also more interested in joking and talking amongst themselves instead of assisting customers. We weren't offered more breadsticks (they're all you can eat with your meal) until we were nearly finished eating. It was a bit of a bummer. read more

Probably been 6 months since I have been at this location, and wow have things changed (not for the good). Went today to grab a quick lunch and after waiting 35 minutes for our food we spoke to a manager. We were told it was going to be another 15 minutes for our food to be done. Waiting 50 minutes for fast Italian food is unacceptable. The on duty manager wanted to argue about how long we had waited until we showed her the receipt with the time stamp. She eventually refunded our money and we left. Tip: before you order ask how the wait the will be and what number is your order in the queue. read more

This was absolutely, hands down, the worst experience I have ever had at a "fast food" place! I would give it 0 stars if I could. Today, I placed a curbside order at 5:53 for 2 dozen breadsticks and sauce. It was supposed to be ready in 18 minutes, which was fine because that's how long the drive way anyways. When I got there, it was so inundated with drive thru, that I had to wait in the drive thru line just to be able to pull into the restaurant. After that, all of the curbside spots were taken, so I parked in a spot and tried calling to see if I could just have them either come to my car and deliver it, even though it's not at a curbside spot or if I could come in an just pick it up. I waited on the phone for over 5 minutes just for no one to pick up. I then go inside to see a line of people waiting for their food as well. I spoke with the front of house to see if my order was ready and was not given the time of day. They even asked me to repeat my order as if they just couldn't go back and check on the screens, which I know they can, as I have worked in fast food my entire adolescence. They ended up telling me that they were waiting for my call, which I clearly tried, but was not even answered, so why would I call again? That's why I ended up going inside to tell them my order and even told them I ordered through curbside. In the end, I waited 52 minutes from start to finish just for 2 dozen breadsticks and sauce....that's it! On top of all that, all they gave me in exchange for the ludicrous amount of time I waited was 2, $5 off coupons that I can't even use together, rather than a free meal at least! read more

First let me be fair by saying that I'm not generally a fan of Italian food (other than pizza), but Fazoli's mashes together my two least-favorite food concepts: fast food and pasta. Pastas don't really work as a fast food concept, due to their inability to be kept hot and al dente very well. Fazoli's helps to prove that theory with all but their breadsticks. I could (and have) make a meal of their breadsticks and a drink alone. If I'm requested to go on someone else's bill, I may go, but it would be extremely rare to find me in here under any other circumstance. read more

I came in with my (very hungry) color guard team tonight after a competition, so as you can imagine we had a very large group (over 20 people!) The Fazoli's staff was so kind and attentive. Had a great experience today. We ordered and paid for an Italian ice. The manager came out to tell us the machine wasn't frozen all the way. He asked if we'd like our money back. Our daughter really wanted the Italian ice so we said no that we would try it anyway. Well, the manager brought out a mostly frozen Italian ice, a cup to get another drink in case we weren't satisfied, and he also gave us our money back! We were satisfied with the resolution and then right before we left they gave us a refill of Italian ice for free! Definitely makes up for the not so great trips here! I love Fazolis! read more

I haven't been to Fazoli's in a couple years. So when I saw there was a location just down the street from my work I decided to give it a try. I have to say overall it was pretty disappointing. I stood at the counter for about 5 minutes before someone realized I was there, and then I waited another 3 minutes so that she could finish telling her co workers about her dating life (in more detail than I personally wanted to hear). Then about 15 min later I got my order of baked spaghetti which looks significantly smaller than I remember it being before. One tip I can give is make your bread sticks last because no one is going to come around and offer you more. The floors in the dining area look like they hadn't been swept in days and the whole place is dimly lit. Overall I can't justify spending my money on mediocre food in a poorly run/staffed place like this. read more

If I could have given it a lower star I would but I can't. There were two guys there tonight and the whole time my family was there they were goofing off and there was only one lady who was doing her best and all the work the two boys even started throwing trash at each other. Trash was on tables near us and they did not even touch any of it the whole time. I went up to get tea because they were out and the one lady who was doing everything was in the middle of taking an order and the boys were standing around while I waited for like 5 minutes just to get my tea. My food was not cooked all the way still hard noodles. My moms food was wrong. The boys went to the bathroom three times while we were there they were just goofing off. At the end the girl who did everything was mopping and the boys stud there watching her I felt bad for her. It was just over all terrible experience but thanks to that one girl. read more
