    House Side Salad

I like Fazoli's because I like Italian cuisine. And I like the consistency of chains, knowing the menu ahead of time regardless of the location and knowing my expectation of their food quality will usually be met. This was my first visit to the Avon location. There is plenty of parking available in their big parking lot. I usually rely on the Pick 2 Lunch Deal and did so today. I ordered my favorite, Lasagna, and tried their Side Salad. I chose the Caesar dressing. This was my first time sampling their Caesar dressing and I didn't care for it at all. It tasted like it had too much pepper in it but upon reading the ingredients found no pepper content. I don't know why my palate rejected it other than it just wasn't as tart like I'm used to. My palate could be messed up from the major surgery I had six weeks ago. No worries, the lasagna was awesome as always and the breadsticks were superb as usual. One thing Fazoli's gets absolutely right every time are their breadsticks. And I really like how they prefer you leave your dishes on the table so they can bus them. I'm sure that saves wear and tear on the ceramic dishes they use for serving and accidental trashing of the their real flatware.

Great food for the price point. We had quick service and the staff was very helpful even though they were swamped. I love their bread sticks. They are way better than Olive Garden's. There pizza pretty good. And I had the chicken Parmesan it was delightful and especially at a $8.50 charge .all in all great visit especially for a Sunday at lunch time.

Awesome staff! Julia went above and beyond my expectations. Ordered the spinach salad w/ strawberries, crispy bacon, chicken and she even allowed me to substitute for romaine instead! Very friendly, efficient staff, with delicious food! Highly recommend their new pepperoni breadsticks, $2.49 they are the BOMB!!!

Haven't been to a Fazoli's since college so this definitely hit the spot! Brought back so many great memories. The minute we walked in the staff greeted us which was a nice. We ordered our food and quickly sat down. I ordered half fettuccine and half lasagna (which is new to the menu!) and loved it. I love that I get to have a verity. Docking one star because the edges of the lasagna was a bit over cooked but overall the taste was good. If I am honestly speaking though, I only come for the unlimited breadsticks when you dine in. Did someone say UNLIMITED?!? Warm, buttery, and just perfect. Overall great experience and I will definitely be back to relive some more memories!

The food was alright but definitely not the best. The kids pizza was probably the best tasting. The pasta meals just tasted really flavorless. The breadsticks here are so greasy and salty I couldn't eat them. We were able to go in and get a seat right away. I'm not a fan of ordering for myself at the kiosk because then I can't ask any questions. There was nobody working the front counter just the kitchen. So I guess your supposed to order & pay on your own at the kiosk, and have a seat.

So back again after many months. They have changed. I think for the better You can now place your own order on an impressive touch screen. There is still a team member and register available if you wish. The food we all ordered was all well cooked and tasted good. As usual the breadsticks were good. Even the young lady who brought the food was nice. Only downside was no one walked around with more breadsticks. And even got a free cookie. ;)

6 tables looked like this by the time we left

Food was good but everything else was less than desirable. Many of the tables were full of dirty dishes. At least 10 families were waiting for food when we sat down. The bins were empty of silverware. It took 18 minutes to get our food. Texas Roadhouse was quicker last night and we had steak!! The floor was filthy. Will not be returning to this location.

    Original Italian Lemon Ice

Over the years, I haven't been able to really eat and enjoy Fazolis food because it doesn't have as much quality taste/flavor as I believe it once did. However, the Original Italian Lemon Ice is still one of my favs. I like it better than ice cream or sorbet on a hot day. The icy part gives me a little more kick than just a regular lemonade. I wouldn't say the service is better here than anywhere else, but the service has been pretty good every time I come.

This location is very dirty. The service is slow, and the staff is not friendly. It used to be a nice place , but it has gone way downhill.

However, I've been making regular visits out to my family in Putnam County and this has allowed me to drive by the Avon location of Raising Cane's. Today, I finally got a chance to check it out. Raising Cane's is a growing chain that specializes in chicken fingers (or tenders). That's it. That's their gig. When founder Todd Graves proposed the idea in a business class, he received one of the lowest grades because his professor said it wouldn't work. Graves persevered. Named after his labrador (literally named Raising Cane), this chain is growing with three Central Indiana locations currently (Avon, Carmel, Noblesville). As noted, Raising Cane's is based around chicken tenders/fingers in a handful of different combos. They have multiple sides, serve Coke products, and have both sweet and unsweetened iced tea. They have a two-sided drive-thru, though only one side was open at my time of arrival. You can dine inside, however, on this visit I did not. I could tell the curb cuts were appropriate, however, I won't speak to accessibility on the inside. The employees I met were friendly and helpful. I was able to upsize my drink, always a plus, and my order was accurate. I tend to prefer barbecue sauce with my tenders, however, I opted to try their Raising Cane sauce. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Raising Cane's is community minded with six areas of focus - education, feeding the hungry, active lifestyles, pet welfare, entrepreneurship, and "other" (meaning they enjoy supporting community organizations and will consider "other" ideas). While I'm not quite ready to go 5 stars here, I enjoyed the tenders quite a bit and I enjoyed the small order of crinkle-cut fries. The food quality was good and the quantity was a solid meal. Employees were great, the drive-thru went pretty darn quickly, and I have no issues with calling this a solid 4-star experience. I'll definitely be back.

I'm a relative novice when it comes to Sonic Drive-In. Since it primarily exists in Indy's suburbs…read morerather than directly in Indy, I'm seldom near one with the exception of when I'm out and about for work or other obligations. This location is almost smack dab on the line between Avon and Indy. It's set off to the side of Meijer's parking lot, though it has a decent-sized space once you get there. Sonic is known for its "drive-in" option - the ability to pull up with a retro-vibed ordering screen and carhops who will bring the food to your car. There's also a drive-thru, which I utilized, for those in a bit of a hurry. Because I seldom make it to Sonic, I always forget how it works. The drive-thru made it pretty simple, though in retrospect I kind of wish I'd gone for the Sonic experience. I really only wanted a snack, in this case tater tots, and a drink. In this case, I opted for a large iced coffee. While Sonic is generally known for being economical, I thought it was a bit high (I honestly don't remember the exact price - I just remember thinking it was more than expected). The employees were friendly. The line moved a tad slow, though it wasn't bad. I thought the iced coffee was a bit chintzy - yes, I'm glad there was lots of ice, however, it definitely wasn't close to filled to the top. You had to really put the straw in there to get to the coffee. The tater tots, a Sonic fave, were delicious. I ordered a medium order. Overall, this was a solid mid-range experience for me. Would I return? Sure. Would I go out of my way to return? Probably not. Sonic has a menu that is both somewhat traditional in terms of fast food and a bit unique in terms of defining its place in the fast food world. Now that I know this is here, and I missed it for a long time, I'll no doubt return when I'm in the mood for more than a snack.
