    Fried pickles.

I was super pressed to order food from here. We got the burger with blue cheese-single. The fries with bacon and cheese and the fried pickles. The burger was overcooked, but I should have put in my comments that my son prefers medium. The fries were hand cut and very good with wiz, and that's how I prefer cheese fries. The bacon was thick cut and hickory smoked. The fried pickles were disappointing. Very salty with no dipping sauce or anything. The presentation wasn't great, but it's a food truck and I had it delivered with DoorDash. The owner reached out and offered a refund, but it wasn't as bad as that, I refused and he offerred a free meal, so to say the customer service is on par would be the absolute truth. I will probably try them again but be more explicit with how I like my meat! They are close to my house and this is quintessential comfort food!

This food truck is my go to lately. Cheesesteaks are packed and some of the best fries I've ever had. The fried rainbow cookies are no joke, truly delicious. Also had the shrimp boy that my wife absolutely loves. Definitely give them a go

I got a bacon burger and buffalo chicken wrap; both came with fries so I opted to pass on the loaded ones ( for now).

(Tookout 04/09/2025 WE @ 5:00pm): Archie... there was no need to be angry; you were serving up some…read moregood food! In my quest to explore the various cuisine scenes throughout Jersey City and specifically the Heights, I finally made my way to Angry Archie's. I'd seen them on my previous exploratory walks and possibly saw them with a food truck at a nearby park event. However, it was the fact that they sold lobster rolls, and frankly, the marketer in me loved the graphic logo! Would I be angry or happy with Archie for my first lobster roll experience in New Jersey!? PURCHASE Angry Lobster Roll ($22.00): A massive amount of Maine lobster meat mixed with a spicy corn mayo all stuffed into a toasted bun, this was sufficient to split with my friend. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and the buttery toasted bun was truly the icing on the cake. It was pricey, but dammit it was so good! I would love to try the heated version next! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=goUcQr5lYWSZGJbXYKHnzg Angry Crab Cake Sandwich ($17.00): A bulbous lump of crab meat mixed with spicy aioli, drizzled with citrus crema, while rested on a bed of crispy arugula, and placed between a buttery toasted bun, this was more crab-forward in flavor as the other elements didn't stand out as much. Possibly if they used the same mix from the lobster roll, the taste would be more enhanced? Again, the bread was outstanding; seriously, I'd buy the bread as a side! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=l-4TdG2hdYIq98cTDexPnA Full Portion Parmesan Truffle Fries ($9.00): A massive portion size of long thick spud sticks covered in parmesan cheese, fresh herbs, and truffle oil with a side of garlic truffle aioli for dipping, this was a blissful meal on its own! And, although we used the aioli, it really wasn't needed or seemed overkill at this point. We had leftovers which weren't as good, so eat it while it was fresh! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=uUhKPVY-0yYo0Uhavagcqg Double Cheese Mac N Cheese ($11.00): An absurd amount of tender pasta mixed with a four-cheese sauce, shaved parmesan, and herbed panko bread crumbs, this was one of the best mac n cheese dishes I've ever had! The cheese level was off-the-charts, and the panko was an ingenious idea. This was enough for two meals if you ate it on its own. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=idy1dMFN72rKV_12nlFuEg SERVICE I placed the takeaway order online, arrived about five minutes early, and soon after a friendly young man behind the counter came from the kitchen with everything wrapped up and ready to go - perfection! PARKING (Varied; N/A this instance) This was an easy flat 20-minute walk from my friend's place. Otherwise, there appeared to be plenty of spots along the main drag of Palisade Ave. and all surrounding roads - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A simple layout https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=y5tIh_oEthczcPn2oM6SRg with a central order/pick-up counter that looked into the kitchen, a very legible menu https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=uo0dcsKpxRtaaKCYUf1RkA behind the counter, a dining bar with stools along the front window, a handful of tables, a hint of nautical decorations, and generally a really clean place. Plenty of natural lighting came through the large front window and door while recessed electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were no TVs while music played in the background. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=dI0QvZ2MaTIkFqGlAgh2iQ ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Angry Archie's was awesome, and I would definitely return to explore their menu even more! Hands down, the portion sizes were incredible, everything tasted amazing, the prices were very reasonable, and the service in our case was straightforward. And, I always loved supporting small businesses whenever possible. I found total value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $63.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... The warm sandwich on bread was topped with brown butter. As a side, I decided to go with its nephew to the seafood family. Never would I have ever guessed that crab meat topping blends perfectly with French fries! The taste was so superb I couldn't find a flaw even if I tried. The only minor downside was these two seafood dishes burned a hole in my wallet, but it was definitely worth the splash!

The guy in the truck taking orders was just rude not by what he said but how he spoke to me. The curds were not all that. It's basically moterilla sticks in circle form. I actually like mozzarella sticks better. They did have a few dips to offer which I always like. I don't think I would eat at this truck again. It's nothing special to be cocky about.

I could never eat a whole helping by myself -- mostly because I never eat much -- but it's worked out that whomever I've been with has always wanted to split the order. That helps with the $9 price-tag, which is, yes, a bit exorbitant for the offering. Still. You can't deny how great these curds are! I'm definitely a way bigger fan of the cheddar option, and wish there was a way to request just cheddar instead of having some of the mozzarella stashed in there too.* And the accompanying ranch sauce? Fantastic. Yes, sometimes they have a massive line. Generally I just either come back when they don't or just simply deal with the line? I don't think it's that big of a deal. Popular food trucks have lines at festivals sometimes. Fact of life. *EDIT 5/20/15: The Cow and the Curd reached out to clarify that they don't ever serve mozzarella. They're actually white cheddar!

What's unique about this truck is that it's a Japanese/Mexican taco fusion truck, which explained the long line I saw and is probably the 1st of its kind that I've ever seen. The menu is pretty much classic Mexican though with tacos, burritos, quesadillas and bowls with a Japanese twist/ingredients. For those who have big appetites they also have "combos" consisting of basically just more food on top of single orders (i.e. 3 or 4 Tacos Mix and Match, Burrito + Taco, etc) After some thought I ordered the (Steak) Burrito + (Chicken) Taco combo for a reasonable flat $10. This would've probably cost me $12-$13 at Chipotle. The taco was served in a tupperware. It wasn't really put together well because it just fell completely apart. If anything it seemed like all the ingredients were just thrown together on top of some soft flour tortillas. Disregarding the presentation, the combination of ingredients (salsa roja, salsa verde, soy miso slaw, sesame crema) was VERY GOOD! I was pleasantly surprised at how well all of those mixed together in a taco form. As for the burrito, it was humongous! There was a ton of rice inside, but in no way did they shy from filling it with plenty of steak as well. It was a typical burrito with beans, cheddar, monteray jack. In addition, they threw in the salsa verde, soy miso slaw and sesame crema. If I didn't know any better I would've thought they had spicy mayo in there instead because there was a spicy flavor to it. Anyhow, I felt the ingredients mixed together perfectly and it absolutely gave a good representation of a burrito, but at the same time confused me a little with the Japanese spin. Even with a large appetite, I think the burrito is more than enough for any single person. I managed to finish both the taco and burrito, but it was not without some struggles along the way. It was just that good and that's how I managed to squeeze in the final bites!

Grub was ok. The rice was hard and the veg wasn't particularly nutritious. I'll totally reuse the to-go container.

I've never had Filipino food before and decided on the Loaded Steak Fries. It was freshly made as I waited and the server (owner?) was wonderfully friendly. I brought it home to eat and it was truly tasty and delicious- and amazingly was still hot despite the 20 minute journey. Friday evening was my last chance as they were nearing the end of their stay at Cross County Mall... I didn't want to wait for the last day. The gentleman behind the counter was not all that friendly nor engaging, but for good food I'd interact with a rabid pit bull so that was not a deal breaker but not a great start. Trouble started when everything I ordered they were out of. Out of Chicken Adobo? The Philippine national dish? How? I took what they had and paid the man, who reluctantly admitted he didn't prep much as Sunday was his last day. Still not acceptable but at least I understood. The dishes are filling, you won't go hungry. I lived in a community that had a large population of Philippine people so I am familiar with the food. This was hit or miss. Lotta rice to fill you up and would have preferred more protein. Orders are $17 each. The loaded fries were outstanding, the Hawaii chicken a bit too saucy and the pork was good. I didn't get to have the dishes I wanted so I was judging the food on things I didn't really crave... but it wasn't bad. I just wasn't wowed. I would like to try this again sometime but I'm not dying to go out of my way. It's probably a 3.5 not a 4.
