Very bad experience here. We ordered the doctor sub. 3 slices of cake and cheese fries. What we received was left overs chopped and grilled and stuffed in a sub, it arrived dry and scary looking. No cheese on the fries and the cake? They are selling you corner store cakes that cost 1.50 and come in a bag. It is not sliced cake. As for the cheesecake we ordered? The concept of delivery-only restaurants is pretty interesting and ''new'', the purpose for which I don't really understand especially when the food is coming out an already established restaurant. But nonetheless, I ordered delivery from Fatties last night as the menu was pretty intriguing. I ordered 2 heroes and 2 desserts. The heroes were HUGE and came hot as the delivery arrived 25 minutes after placed. The combination of finger food along with meats and sauces was well done, none of the items felt overwhelming - it was just rightly proportioned. The desserts was intact, again due to quick delivery, and delicious. I would definitely order from Fatties again, curious to try out the other type of heroes. read more

I am very confused, and a bit unsettled as of writing this review. I ordered here because I wanted a milkshake (which was what I searched for on Eat24) and then I saw they also had interesting sounding sandwiches, and I thought I'd give them a try. I got a Bayridge Banger Hero and an Oreo Milkshake. Delivery came about 20 minutes before the estimated time, which is always good and the driver followed my instructions perfectly, and I very much appreciated that. The shake came wrapped with plastic to combat any spillage (there wasn't any) and the hero was wrapped in foil and put in a hardshell styrofoam, which meant it stayed warm and didn't fall apart. The shake was good, not thick, but the taste was nice. Not the best milkshake I've ever had, but nothing to complain about. The sandwich was good as well, and absolutely huge. Fun line up of stuff: mozzarella sticks, onion rings jalapeños, boneless buffalo chicken, fries, and blue cheese. It claimed that it comes with turkey bacon, but I didn't taste or see any on there. It was a very plain, very dry roll, which meant it held up to all the stuff stacked on there, but didn't add anything to the flavor. It was a dry sandwich overall, the blue cheese was liquid of some kind, I couldn't tell if it was dressing or liquid cheese, but there wasn't very much of it. I should have ordered more buffalo sauce on it, I think that would have helped a lot. It wasn't as good as I was expecting it to be, but it wasn't bad at all. So all that sound pretty good, right? Well I was planning on a 3.5 star rating, but then I went to look them up on Yelp for the review. Now, I remember when I ordered noticing that they were "located" (according to Eat24) East of me. When I opened Yelp they came up to the West of me. The address didn't look right, and I wanted to make sure I was reviewing the correct location/business, so I pulled up Eat24 again to check the address. It (and Grubhub/Seamless) showed that Fatties is located at 8518 5th Ave. Yelp doesn't have a specific address listed. So I googled "Fatties Brooklyn" to try to see if their website would pop up. It didn't. In fact all that came up was the delivery websites and Yelp. I was very confused, so I googled the address listed on Eat24 only to find out that the listed address is actually for a Stewart's Restaurant, which is concerning. Then I pulled up Google StreetView, thinking maybe they shared a storefront in some Brooklyn-esque way. Nope. No sign of Fatties on the whole block, or when I turned the camera down 86th St. Granted, the street view is from 2017 but still, I know Stewart's is still there (I've walked past it). They have two different phone numbers, and when I called both they picked up the phone by saying "This is Fatties" so I guess that's good? So... I'm left feeling concerned. Where did I actually order from? Where did they get my food? Where did they MAKE my food? I don't understand how this restaurant doesn't seem to exist at all outside delivery websites, especially since you can't choose the "pickup" option, delivery only. What gives? I am honestly a little worried about what I ate because I have no clue where it came from. Needless to say, unless I get some answers, I won't be ordering here again, and honestly, I don't know that I'll order here again even if I got a satisfying explanation because it just wan't that good, and they were kind of pricey for what it was. I got 25% because it was my first order, but even still, pricey. So yeah, I definitely don't recommend taking your chances with this place! read more

I ordered a few times from Fattie's and the sandwiches and wraps were really good. The problem I have is that this is one of those "ghost" restaurants that appear on places like Seamless and other food delivery services now. There was an interesting article about it in the Times I think last spring. A "new" restaurant offering lots of stuff but when you look at the address, it is located at the same address as a current restaurant. In this case, this is Stewart's Restaurant on 86th that you are ordering from. Are they renting out part of their kitchen to Fatties? Did Stewart's want to expand but could not go beyond the official Stewart's menu so they created a new "restaurant" in order to expand their menu? No idea. Does putting up a virtual shingle and offering food delivery have any sort of accountability built in with regard to health department standards and whatnot? I think there may be an additional restaurant running out of Stewart's kitchen but I can't remember the name of it. There are other restaurants in the area that are doing the same thing. I'm not sure how I feel about that. It's odd. The food is good though but I'd rather know exactly who I am ordering from. If I have a problem with an order from Stewart's or any other restaurant, I know to whom I need to reach out to. In the cases of the ghost restaurants, who knows? read more

Ordered takeout today and have to say it was decent. I wasn't impressed by the boneless wings, but greatly enjoyed the mozzarella sticks. Overall a good spot for some rather unhealthy but delicious food and a creative menu. Enjoy. read more

Had food delivered from here twice so far. Food is good. You get a lot for your money. And the delivery is always on time or earlier than expected. As the name suggests, this food is super heavy and fattening but it hits the spot when you are craving that kind of food. The reason I gave 3 stars is because my order never seems to be quite right. The first time I got the skinny chick wrap (which is still super heavy), all I got was mashed up avocado in a wrap. The second time I ordered the wrap, I got mashed up avocado with sweet pot fries but the sweet pot was raw, hard and not at all fried. I ordered the burger hero for my daughter n paid the up charge for the tater tots but I got fries and tater tots and since they put both in the sandwich, there wasn't much of either. I also don't like that they put the fries and stuff in the sandwich but I guess that's the premise behind this food establishment and that's just a personal preference but not one that would stop me from ordering again. The fried oreo's are awesome but again, not consistent. First time, perfect! This time around, the oreo's were frozen, so hard to bite into and they put some kind of sauce or syrup and it made me totally nauseous. In summation, the food and flavors are good but they need to work on getting orders right, cooking stuff the right way (no raw sweet pot fries!) and consistency. They are a newer business so maybe just need some time to work out the kinks. I will be ordering again because I do like the food and sometimes, you just want to eat fatties! read more
