    Crispy Chicken Thigh Burger
    Jason U.

Decent place to grab some "Fast food". The place isn't too busy but they have more online orders placed than people actually in the shop. They have a kiosk that you can order when you enter or you can just go to register and order from there. The crispy chicken thigh burger combo so it came with fries and a drink. The chicken itself on the burger was pretty good, very juicy, and has a good crispy batter with it. The mayo sauce was also good. However, the lettuce and the bun you can tell were not the freshest and a bit old. Bun was not stale or anything but still old. Fries were okay, nothing too special, not really crispy or seasoned.

I'm finding it hard to put together words that describe this restaurant in full. And I think it's because 98K hasn't quite figured themselves out either. So: identity crisis. Consider this review my baby project, cause there are definitely items that I'm coming back for! So far, I've had the chicken thigh burger and their actual hamburger. What this restaurant technically falls under is something called an "Aspirational Restaurant". It's when a restaurant aspires to present a cuisine without entirely knowing what it is. It's a chain, so they're doing something right. Case in point: the banner in the back of a hamburger, lol looks like someone drew it without ever seeing a hamburger. It's out of place considering how polished the rest of restaurant is. The logo by the registered is highlighted by an excessive backlight. Very typical Chinese cafe decor aimed at teenagers but I think it's tacky and they can do better. The artwork on the right wall is very specific to gaming culture, whereas the photos on the left look like they could've been commissioned by an artist. There's a duality to the vibe but it definitely encompasses young adult. The restaurant is clean, it's great; these are just fun observations because-- the food is tight. I don't think China had a word for sandwiches, so they're using "burger" as a replacement. The actual burger is a prepackaged cafeteria failure, please don't get it (it's obligatorily on the menu). Get the chicken thigh sandwich (I mean burger) instead. There isn't a signature blend of seasonings or anything but you're getting plump, juice filled thighs for $5. Chinese chicken sandwiches has a real emphasis on juicy! Alright, I'll be back after I eat more items but I will leave with a note that while dining in, it was very reminiscent of when you and your buddies would hang afterschool in restaurant for cheap eats and a quick bite.

Chicken was super juicy. One downside is that you have either pay for the dipping sauces, but I don't mind since I think they make it themselves. Would definitely recommend. Chicken is made fresh so there is a little wait.

They say some things age like fine wine, and I believe this restaurant falls in that category. After 55 years, this family oriented fast food shop known for its famous roast beef sandwich and other popular greasy goodness is still standing. I swung by recently for my usuals and glad to report that everything still tasted the same, just slightly more pricey year after year as expected. My regular order has always been the Roast Beef w/ Cheese, which was maybe $4 when I first tasted it over 25 years ago. It is now $9.45 or $.50 less for no cheese. Regardless, the roast beef (medium) is still tender and juicy, piled on top of a soft and pillowy, freshly made bread that's been dunked in a bath of delicious beef gravy. The ooey gooey cheese makes it complete for me. Everything else is solid. Nothing fantastic or worth driving out of your way for. Don't come here looking for the best version of everything on the menu. However, if in the neighborhood, this place is an inexpensive experience that brings you back in time, when the world was less complicated and a night out with family meant a delicious trip to a local restaurant like Roll-N-Roaster. Enjoy it for what it is and you'll have a good time.

Unlike many urban fast-food spots designed purely for hurried transactions, this location offers a significantly superior dining experience. The fundamental draw is the unwavering commitment to quality ingredients, beginning with their guarantee of fresh, never frozen beef. This promise translates directly into the rich, meaty taste of signature items like the thick, juicy patties in the Baconator and Dave's Single, setting a consistent standard for flavor that many competitors struggle to match. Beyond the burgers, the location caters to all tastes and times of the day. Customers appreciate the menu's true diversity, from the selection of hearty, fresh-made salads to the popular and convenient breakfast offerings that leverage the same commitment to quality ingredients, while the signature Chocolate Frosty remains the perfect sweet finish. Crucially, the physical environment and service model elevate the entire experience. It boasts a spacious and inviting interior, featuring modern design elements and ample seating that foster a comfortable, casual atmosphere. The layout enhances customer autonomy, particularly with convenient self-service drink and condiment stations, which contribute to the dining ease. While this location, like many popular fast-food chains, may experience occasional inconsistency in service speed or staff training during peak hours, the overall setup--including excellent accessibility and valuable free parking--creates a more streamlined and generally positive interaction. This blend of reliable, high-quality core products, a superior dining ambiance, and a service model focused on convenience is what ultimately distinguishes the Wendy's on Shore Parkway as the best and most dependable fast-food choice in South Brooklyn.

Let me start by saying... thank you, whomever made the decision to renovate - the space is brighter, cleaner and nicer looking! Updated the way they manage the lines and the awesome coke machine (less sloppy all around!). Service was good, took the order, no issues. Paid. Waited about 5-7 mins for our food. Grabbed a table (a little dirty but we wiped it down). Now - burgers were good! Dave's single, Dave's double, juicy. Something about their patties, tastes better than others (MD & BK). The fries were crispy. The nuggets were ok (used to be better! Remember the dollar nuggets?!?), buffalo nuggets was ok, and my baked potato... came with everything. Chives, butter, sour cream and a spoon. lol. I'm easy to please. It's fast food so my expectations are not high, just want to get my food right. But wow, the prices for fast food have certainly gone up... spent $45 on this lunch. We enjoyed it and would come back again if around the area.

This place advertises that their dishes include coleslaw and pickles, and even goes further by asking customers how much they want and charging extra for it. I specifically paid extra for coleslaw--and received none at all‼ Not in the burger, not in the loaded fries, not in the mac & cheese with chicken. Zero. If you're out of an item, the bare minimum is to contact the customer and offer a substitution. No call, no message, nothing. Just missing items I already paid for. The "loaded" waffle fries are marketed with toppings like coleslaw and pickles. What I received was just fries with a generic, overly salty cheese sauce--completely unbalanced and not what was advertised. The chicken is also misrepresented. This place claims "never frozen" and "melt in your mouth" texture. In reality: * The breading is thick, dry, and hard to chew * The chicken inside is dry, not juicy or tender That's not "melt in your mouth"--that's the opposite. The burger was okay, nothing special: * A few slices of pickles (only place they actually showed up) * Some sautéed onions * Basic sauce (fine, but nothing memorable) For the price, this is not impressive. The chocolate milkshake was decent, but not worth $8. Overall, this feels like FALSE ADVERTISEMENT and careless execution. Charging extra for items that are never delivered, and not even notifying the customer, is unacceptable. Also worth noting: delivery platforms like Grubhub will often not refund missing items, so you're taking a risk ordering here. Final verdict--Not worth the money Be aware you may not receive what you paid for.
