This pizza isn't bad, order directly from them. They deliver, do not use uber eats. The uber eats guy left my pizza outside on the ground. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, they have live music-like an open mike night. Very cool. Servers seem nice, the restaurant is clean and inviting. We ordered wings and a couple of sandwiches. Our first and only visit to Fatso's was not very good. The waitress a young lady with dark hair and facial piercing did a poor job of waitressing. She walked by us 4 times before she asked us if we wanted more ice tea. She was clearing a table next to us for a party and ignoring the empty glasses she continued cleaning. She finally acknowledged the glasses and asked if we wanted more ice tea. She went on to help others and we got up to pay our bill she finally had the ice tea. No tip for her as T--to, I -- insure, P -- proper, S--service. The pizza was overcooked and the ambiance is more bar than restaurant and this is a Sunday afternoon football games on TV'S and loud musician outside front door with people halfway blocking the entrance. We love Fatso's! Hands down some of the best pizza we've had anywhere. Our favorite time to go is when they feature the finest array of Valley musicians on Friday and Saturday nights including local blues legend Hans Olson and our favorite, Eric Ramsey. We've been there when it's packed and still received prompt service and hot tasty pizza. Don't be put off by the nay sayers who have had one off less that great experiences. Came here on a whim and walked in to dine in. That was probably not the right decision. After looking confused whether it was a seat yourself or be seated situation a nice young man directed us. We sat down and waited a few for a server who was nice but fairly quiet. Order all our food at once. The potato skins were quite small (smaller than big name brands). A food runner brought our pizza and was not very personable. Didn't interact with us even after she brought us Parmesan. The server never followed up on our food till someone else brought us a box. We also never got refills on our drinks. It was fairly quiet for a Friday night. TO BE CLEAR the pizza was really good. But don't dine in. Just get it to go. read more

Poor experience all around. They will tell you ETA for order =25 minutes, when you get there they will keep you on the warmer for about 35 minutes until they finally figure out how to get your food to you. When you call to talk to the manager "Greg", who is in severe need of phone etiquette and attitude adjustment instruction, will tell you it is no big deal and happens all the time. Period. Then when you give them a second chance in a month, you will pull up to a place with no masks on anyone, including the server who shows up with your order partially fulfilled. Then when you call to talk to a manager, he will say too bad. Period. Save yourself the grief, don't go here. No food is worth these people and their commitment to provide you with ceaseless disappointment, and that's not even mentioning their seeming desire to give you Covid for free, along with apparently the leftovers they profess to be selling on their pizza boxes. read more

Pizza was quite good. the mozzarella sticks were most definitely frozen and may of been a bit freezer burnt but the marinara sauce made up for it. The server/hostess may not of had the best personality and may of lacked a bit of professionalism but were quick and attentive. I recently ordered $56 dollars worth of food there and when it got delivered it was nothing that I ordered. I refused delivery with the driver and immediately called the restaurant to explain my dilemma. Needless to say the restaurant was absolutely zero help to me and refused to try to make the situation right. I contacted the driver once again and then immediately disputed the charge with my bank who was no help either. To sum it all up Fatsos took $56 dollars from me, gave me nothing in return and Desert Financial allowed it. SAD. read more

Ended up on the north side of town with some time to kill before a meeting and found Fatso's was real close to try for dinner. They were not to crowded and we got choice of seats so we sat in bar section so we could watch TV. Service was very quick and we had our drinks fast. I decided to try the combo appetizer basket to get a little taste of their main appetizers. The wings, potato skins and mozzarella sticks were good but the Jalopeno poppers had a musty freezer burn taste. The basket did come out quick and we had time to enjoy the appetizers before our pizza came out. I ordered the killer combo pizza which had pepperoni, sausage, onion and green peppers. It was on a thin crust which is a plus in my book. The taste was okay even with crushed red peppers and parmesan cheese the taste was a little flat. I'm always excited to hear of thin, crispy, square cut pizza in Phoenix. Coming from the greater Midwest this is a familiar and favorite style. Fatso's is a solid contender and I look forward to visiting again. I appreciated the rustic decor (as opposed to brand new generica). A tad less crispy and a bit sweeter than my ideal but that's all personal preference. Let's me know if you know of others beyond the chains. Johnny's Chicago Style Pizza on Cave Creek was our favorite before their fire and subsequent closing. Fatso's is a good option. read more

Open mics on Thursday was pretty fun and wings were okay. Called in to order delivery at 11:30 am then called back in at 1:00pm to ask where our pizza was this is when they informed us they don't deliver until 4 pm. They then put our pizza in as an order for pickup. When we arrived they gave us a 1 dollar per hour waited discount totalling a whopping $2 dollars. I've eaten several times from Fatso's. The first time I walked in, I had placed an order for pickup, and was impressed with the ambience when I saw the place. The waiter/waitresses are very cheery and warm. The gal working the register told us she loved the place so much, she'd been eating there for fourteen years, and ended up working there! It's a homey bar with cheery low lighting and casual vibes at the bar. I ordered the veggie sandwich, which was AMAZING. Like, moaning while you eat it amazing. I actually had a dream about it last night and woke up hungry. The only thing I would caution is, don't alter ANYTHING-especially if you are picking up a to go order or having it delivered. I have never had a correct order when I requested any changes-even as simple as "no cucumbers" or "add mustard." Also, the veggie sandwich has avocados listed as one of the ingredients, but they do not include it unless you request avo-and then charge extra. So, I jazz up my sandwiches when I get home. This place is a hidden gem! It's the best neighborhood pizza joint around. I love this place, did I say I love it? Lol... The Deluxe pizza is bomb. Must weigh 5 lbs of yumminess. Wings not so much. Kinda of pricey -$15 for 20 extremely small wings which look like they had a pigeon that gave up its life in order to give us its wings... The open mic music is great. There are some great singers that come in here. Tonight had some great entertainment. One singer sang Tom Petty's Mary Jane's last dance- he was awesome. Fun place to go for a Friday night. Really well deserved four stars for this hole in the wall. Vera was our server and provided quick, accurate service. She knew what wine I was thinking of right off the bat and got our drinks out quick. I swear to God, the mozzarella has to be home made. It was amazing over the Caesar salad (knocked our socks off) and the Rollie Pollie sandwhich. Meatballs in the sandwich were a BIT dry, hence the four stars. I have been coming here for the past 24 years. Today we got there the pizza showed up about 15 minutes before the wings did. Normally the wings show up first. I get it the kitchen gets backed up with orders. But today it just seemed strangely longer than normal. When the pizza came out it was not a normal Fatso's pizza that my family has loved for many years. The crust was bad(Walgreens frozen pizza) and lacked flavor and the sausage was tiny in comparison to other times we have been there. The wings tasted like the wings that they normally have there but the cook wasn't up to Fatso's standard. I was very upset with the quality of food that was brought out to my family today. I'm in Phoenix from Jersey for a month and been looking for traditional east coast Pie, I've tried several and haven't really found any I was crazy about . Gave Fatsos a try and ordered a sausage, pepperoni, mushroom with extra garlic on thin crust . Well now I've found my new favorite Phoenix Pie , it was spot on perfect , crust was cooked to perfection, the sauce was not acidity or overwhelming, the mixture of cheese and the meats was perfect . They ALWAYS leave something off of the order, whether it's the Italian dressing that is part of the sandwich, mustard, ranch dressing. The person taking the order, the cook and the person who gives you the food need to make sure that they include EVERYTHING in the order. Fatso's is great! It is a small pizza joint, and while it isn't fancy or glamorous by any stretch of the imagination, it is the perfect place to grab some wings, pizza and beer. We live close by and come to Fatso's often. There are several things that keep us coming back. The Gus....so simple, yet so delicious. The perfectly crusty bread loaded with sharp cheddar, lean roast beef and fresh jalapenos is undeniably one of favorite sandwiches of all time (check it out Nader!). Their honey barbecue wings are awesome. The sauce is made in-house and it is remarkable. Think sweet, smokey barbecue with a spicy kick. The wings are baked, an added bonus for me. The thin crust pizza is good, but don't go in expecting a New York Style pie. Add fresh garlic to your pizza of choice and you will never want to eat a garlic-less pizza again! Fatso's has a surprisingly large selection of beers on tap and a number of bottled craft beers (Stone, Rogue, etc.). Lastly, treat yourself to a Fat Cookie.
