Ok pizza - their pies are square cut and bland. They use a very simple dough that is soft and flaky, and tastes mostly of flour. I know some people like this, but it's not really my bag. Had the cheeburger, cheeburger when we went and toppings didn't liven it up. I'm not trying to be mean or harsh -- the pizza wasn't bad, just not all that great. What we did like though was the wings and the atmosphere. Wings were just the right level of spicy for both myself and the wife (medium) and were crispy and came out nice and hot. Stopped in here, had an hour to kill before a concert near by with my daughter. Great little local pizza place, not overly busy for a Sunday night, football on the TV's, B-day party at the table next to us, local drunks at the bar...... This review is long over due. Fatso's is a friendly family owned pizza joint/sports bar with fantastic fare. My family has been enjoying Fatso's for 20+ years. Owners Bob, Betsy, & Joe are hands on with their business. You will find them in their signature tie-dye t-shirts working the bar or waiting tables. A great selection of unique pizzas to choose from on the menu. From the Big Johnson to the Cheesey Weezey, the Cheeburger Cheeburger to my favorite the Popeye. There is something for everyone, & if you can't find exactly what you want just create your own with a multitude of topping options. I'm a pizza lover so it was years before I ever thought about trying one of their baked sandwiches...boy was I missing out. Fantastic sandwiches...my go to these days is the Sammy's Hungry Farmer or the Dip. Both are great, & come with a side of potato chips. The bar is a true neighborhood bar...a rotation of regulars bellied up to the bar from the time they open (11:30 AM) to the time they close. Greg, the Saturday Manager/Bartender extraordinary, is top notch. Hands down the best bartender in town in my book. He knows everyone's name, knows your drink, & has your drink on the bar before you ever sit down. His attention to detail & his hustle set him apart. He's knowledgeable about the many draft options they have & he'll give you a great pour in a chilled glass. He has his own following of loyal customers that come in just to see him. Another fantastic addition to the team is Aireal...she's wonderful. Bright & cheery...she has a sincere interest in her customers & it shows. It makes my day when I get to chit chat with Miss Aireal. Paige is also someone else I look forward to seeing...always super sweet. I'd be remiss if I don't mention the wings...not a wing eater myself but my Aunt swears they are the best in town...try them "Noel" style & you won't be disappointed. Had the deep dish and the thin. The "Chicago" style was just double thick crust and not the flaky buttery crust, it needed way more cheese but had good flavor. The thin crust was not thin but not hand tossed either, it was somewhere in between. I would have given it 2 stars but my wife liked the deep dish. Luv the food and the welcoming atmosphere . I was there last there last Thursday to attend the open mic hoping to perform. I called first to check whether there was room before going to the place . After hearing the confirmation, I took Uber from downtown to be be able to perform. I signed up but the host somewhat ignored the list and skipped me which was disappointing. The last I was in this place was February of 2017 when Gary acted as the host. I played a couple of originals at that time and the audience sang along with me. It left a good memory of my visit and made it a point to visit the place next time I had the opportunity to do so. I wanted to play two new songs last Thursday but so bummed to be ignored. Redeeming my disappointment was to meet Teresa one more time and knowing a Richard So who was not only funny but witty and very human . He promised to visit the Bay Area where he worked during his younger days. read more

The pizza and wings are okay. Nothing special. The wings were pretty good for baked, but aren't going to win any awards. Best thing about the pizza is the sauce, which is on slightly on the sweet side, making this better than the typical non-Chicago pizza. read more

I LOVE pizza, so needless to say I am very particular when it comes to eating at a pizzeria, I was visiting in Phoenix and 2 block away I saw this pizza place so I decided to stop by and try them out WOW!! what a treat! the pizza is fabbbbbulous, deeeeelicious, yummmmmmy, and the crust is to die for, I had a Pepperoni, mushroom, bell pepper, and GARLIC pizza all I can say is, it's the BEST yet, too bad it is over 300 miles for me to have to go to eat, If your ever in Phoenix, AZ please stop by it won't disappoint! the people were very friendly, seems like lots of locals eat here, I've been here a week and I've eaten there 3 times, that should tell you something about the place, plus they have lots of 'Golf' memorabilia all around the place and I love golf, so stop by and let me know what you think. read more

Went today with my toddler, had the lunch special (a 9inch cheese pizza) to share, it was ok, a bit reminiscent of a Totinos frozen pizza though. Service was ok, though when my son threw up after a few bites of the pizza (and right as the server walked by) the server did not even offer more napkins. So that was disappointing. Previous delivery experiences have been better. Which is the only reason they get 2 stars. read more

Horribly disappointed, used to be a regular a few years back. Went in last night to grab a 20 inch white pizza and 24 wings for my daughter's birthday. They told me 30 minutes it would be ready , got there at exactly 30 minutes and I believe it had sat for 30 minutes. Cold dried out and pitifully made. The only reason I went there is because one of my favorites in North Phoenix Il Posto has sadly closed permanently. Not a chance I'll ever go back there again. Not to mention the masses of people not wearing masks in the place was packed, looks like a covid spawning ground ugh. read more

I am so disappointed. After decades as a regular, they completely messed up an order and apologized but blamed grub-hub and would not refund our money. BURNT PUZZA WITH NO SAUCE, poppers instead of wings (I'm allergic to cream cheese) and the owner called m a mother Fucker because I demanded a refund. He said its grub-hubs problem. I have ordered pizza from this place for 17 years and it was the most amazing pizza, but the last 2 I have got from there made a frozen pizza taste good. Both were luke warm and barely edible. I don't know if it was sold or new mangement. Never again. I hope they go out of business so someone that knows how to run a business moves in. read more

This is one of those hidden gems you wouldn't think to stop at just by looking at it. Its tucked away in a little shopping center and doesn't look like much on the outside but MAN ALIVE the pizza is best I have ever had. Big Johnson special pizza is my go-to every single time. I don't know what they put in it but it is heaven on a slice. Weekends they have a live band which sets a cool vibe while dining and I really like the desert here as well. Cant go wrong :) read more

We are always on a search for good pizza and we found Fatso's at a strip mall area. The decors had beer signs, golf clubs, and TV all over. Our server was super friendly and nice! She suggested beers and pizza favorites. We shared a thin pizza and wings. The mild wings had a kick to it and was delicious. The thin crust pizza came out nice and hot and was delicious! Crispy, crunchy, and tons of toppings. We will definitely be back because the food and server were great! read more

I love pizza and the price of everything in the restaurant definitely made it worth it too, the pizza was pretty good and I did like it. I'm pretty boring when it comes to pizza mainly because I don't really like too much on pizza and just prefer the whole simplicity of cheese and tomato pizza and will continue to keep picking it no matter where I go. It's definitely a great place to go for the kids though, my daughter is quite the little meat eater and she definitely liked her Pizza and I will take her back there because she forced me to promise. Unfortunately we aren't in Phoenix that much and when I do there, I'm usually there for my job which is a real pain in the ass because it takes up so much time out of my day but I will definitely make the effort for her. read more

Have been a regular here for years. Just ordered 48 dollars of food to go. We asked for 2 extra ranch dressing. The bartender re ran our card for the extra dollar. Seems awfully cheap. The pizza and wings are already overpriced.spoke to the owner about the charge and he couldnt care less. We come here 2 or 3 times a month and spent 50 bucks a pop. Never again . The thin crust pizza with pepperoni, sausage and garlic is one of my favorite pies in all of Phoenix. So good and so addicting! I pretty much stick with that when eating at Fatso's. I tried their wings and the Big Johnson specialty pizza. Wasn't really a fan of either, but I'm telling you, you won't go wrong with a thin crust with pepperoni, sausage, and garlic pizza. I had really fond memories of a sausage and garlic pizza here years ago. Went back recently to watch some football and tried it again. While not quite as spectacular as I remembered, this is a fine spot for watching football and enjoying dinner. Long time customer, will never order from them again! Will always order from Paradise Valley Pizza company from now on! I'm not sure how or why some people give these bad reviews since we've never had anything but a great time. We live right in the neighborhood and I'm guessing have been here 15 to 20 times. The pizza is great. I love the thickness of the regular (thin-ish) crust, the cheese and sauce are perfect and the dough tastes great too. I always order the pizza well-done and it comes out right every time. They even have a gluten-free crust which isn't bad at all. The wings are well above average too. Maybe most importantly, they have a good selection of craft beers including their house beer (brewed by Lumberjack IIRC) which seems like a hoppy red ale and also have a good selection of IPA's. I'd come here much more often if it wouldn't pile on pounds of fat. Lastly, we've had nothing but great service here every single time. Love it! read more

The best thing is theyre constantly improving. They add new menu items, built a patio, then just added these cool roll up windows to really open up the place. Two of my fabulous friends met here and are now engaged, so they decided to celebrate where it all began. They are regulars and it shows as the entire party was waited on hand and foot.
