When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by one of the stylists who happened to be at the front desk. Lashelle took me back to wash my hair - she was so gentle and thorough, especially because my scalp is on the drier side during the winter. My hair was long and I wanted to cut a good chunk of it (several inches). When it came time for my haircut, she took her time and made sure it was exactly how I wanted it. She added the many layers, and took her time blowdrying and styling it to showcase the layers. When she turned me around, I wasn't expecting the overall hairdo as I just wanted a simple blowout. I was amazed - I loved it! She made me look and feel amazing. I am overall so pleased with my experience, and I may just have to make the drive back out to see Lashelle the next time I'm looking to make a big chop again!

She's not a typical stylist who will just do anything because you're willing to pay. She cares for the health of our hair. I was very surprised to see a previous review saying that a "Keratin treatments" was done to their hair at this salon due to the fact that they do not do this treatment at all. Melissa has flat out told me "No" to this process and that she does not recommend it for my hair. Also, Keratin treatments are NOT known to be in Dominican Hair Salons but more so at Brazilian hair salons. After all the damage caused to our hair during the summer months due to the sun, pool and beach I can always come back to this Salon and know that Melissa will bring life back to it. I've been to plenty of great Dominican hair salons in the metropolitan area but I love the care and treatment I get at Melissa's hair salon.

After I spoke with Deanna, she was so calming on the phone and told me to come in that day and she would access the damage. After I got there with my better half, she instantly made us feel better. She not only told us what was wrong with my hair but what she could do the very next morning to correct my hair (which was her day off due to her having family in from out of town for Thanksgiving). I was totally surprised that she took me in as a new client on her day off but she did. She gave me an awesome hairstyle and one that I cannot keep my hands out of and stop getting compliments from. I had red/copper hair a year ago and haven't touched it since, she made sure to check if my hair was good enough to resist another bleaching so I wouldn't have breakage.
