Trying to give them the benefit of the doubt that they were super busy the day we went.... But the food took a while to come out. The bulgogi rice bowel had wayyy too much sauce, it was almost unpleasant to eat. We also had the sisig rice that didn't taste much like sisig.

This place is greatness. The fact that they have a brick and mortar, and it's not far from my house is amazing. Now, if watching your figure is something you want to do, this place is a delicacy...a place you treat yourself to. Not a place you eat frequently. But that's a challenge you have to fight on your own. The food is so fire, the temptation will eat you alive if you're not careful. They have the order at the kiosk system going on.. not really my favorite..as I enjoy personable interaction... but this is the direction businesses at large are headed to. They do make it easy to order your food and add on everything your heart desires. The menu is simple and easy to get what you want. I will say-- my least favorite thing is the small nickle and dime charges. .75 for sauce, $1.50 for a single egg...same for the boba milk tea..you can get the tea...but the boba is $.75. Stuff like that is rather off putting. It didn't taint my experience and I'll be back. Definitely worth going to check it out if you haven't been.

First so excited that they have a brick and mortar building now. The first time I ever tried Fat Boy was years ago through a Yelp Elite event. They did a fabulous day for their opening day with lines going out the door. The restaurant is nicely decorated with ample sitting with low tops and bar height extending both sides. There are two restrooms and they were cleaned with the large foot traffic they had. My favorite was the shrimp fried rice and the lumpia.

Went to the soft opening of the new brick & mortar for Fatboy Fried Rice today. I ordered the sisig with fried rice and a medium fried egg. It was amazing. I can't wait to go try more things! Employees were all nice and helpful. Currently you order with a person and they text you when your order is ready (for to go orders at least, not sure about dine in). I believe they are getting kiosks you can order at eventually, which I personally love. Parking is not difficult as it's in a U-shaped strip center. Though I could see it getting busy with there being other popular businesses in the same strip. Would recommend and will be returning hopefully soon!

We dined in on a weeknight. We used the self serve kiosk to order with some help from the staff. We enjoyed the classic Fatboy fried rice (not featured on the menu) which is a vegetarian option and the beef bulgogi both with a fried egg. There is an upcharge for fried rice which i thought was interesting considering it is the theme of the restaurant. There is a lot of sauce which was good but i wished I would've gotten it on the side. There was plenty of fried rice for leftovers. The meal was more expensive than I would've expected though.

We checked out the new brick and mortar restaurant. I liked the big modern metalic chairs. The menu was confusing. I expected more fried rice entrees and there was only the hamburger fried rice. I was told that fried rice could be added to any other order. We ordered the hamburger fried rice and lumpia. It took us 20 min to get the food. The fried rice was delicious and lumpia tasted great! I just had water and it was terrible. Overall an ok experience.

The food was AMAZING. It was good as a left over too. Service was a little slow due to it being so busy. But it was worth the wait. Now i know what i like so i can order ahead. I will be back!

Food was great, but the music was so damn loud you had to yell to talk to a person sitting right next to you.

I don't know what was worse, the overpriced greasy fried rice or the AI slop on the walls.

Our other favorite picks off the menu are probably the ramen, chicken lo mein, and Po po lo's curry. Some downsides- the restaurant is loud, there is often a wait to be seated, and the food comes out as it's ready, not all together. However the food is worth it! The staff is great, very kind and attentive, and both locations have the same quality of food and service. We love it here!

The vibrant, traditional Chinese murals painted across both the exterior and interior immediately caught my eye. I found them thoroughly captivating and beautifully artistic. Though the venue itself is intimate, the layout and decor are executed with exceptional taste and style. I was seated at a lovely table beside the glass window overlooking the street, which offered the most wonderful view for a relaxing afternoon. The staff greeted me with genuine, warm smiles and provided exceptionally friendly service throughout. To begin, I ordered the Thai Basil Paloma, which proved to be an absolute perfection of a beverage for a Sunday. For my main course, I was intrigued by their new duck option on the menu and it was an absolute triumph! Rich, exquisitely prepared, and utterly delicious. Also, thank you to Thomas for his service It made for a flawless Sunday afternoon from start to finish. Full marks to Hawkers for an outstanding culinary experience. I shall most certainly be returning!

He mentioned wait times for tables, so I chose a Tuesday evening to try to avoid the crowds and it worked as I was immediately sat upon arriving. There are QR Menus on the table and my server directed me to view there. I spotted the Tokyo and was intrigued by the Ajitama Brûlée (signature torched seasoned soft boiled egg). What I Ordered: - Tokyo: For $16.95, I thought this was reasonably priced and excited to try as reading reviews raved about the umami flavor of their ramen. Without exaggeration, this was a life-changing ramen. The best ramen that I've had in my life!! The torched egg was genius and added a beautiful texture to the rich, and flavorful broth. The fried chicken thigh was a delicious protein and cooked so well. Honestly, every ingredient was crafted well and combined to make such a beautiful bowl. - Lychee Martini: What better way to toast to life, then with a martini! The popping bubbles were not my thing, but the flavor of the martini was delicious. I can see why many suggest trying it. This is my 1900th review on Yelp, and I couldn't pick a better place to review and RAVE about my experience. If you are in Jacksonville, RUN don't walk to this location for a stunning experience as it's a gorgeous location that is very cozy.
