This is the chicken platter. It comes with tamarind chicken, chicken lumpia, and subbed fries for pancit ($1 additional).

We really liked this place! Im not sure how long they have been open but I'm happy we found it. We were looking for a quick bite to eat and I love lumpia so we gave it a try. The place is located on a very busy road (Atlantic Blvd.) so it isn't too hard to miss. The restaurant was clean. The service was quick and the food was delicious! We ordered the mango drink, the chicken platter and then I went back and ordered another order of chicken lumpia because we didn't have enough in the platter for our appetites. The platter is probably perfect for normal people but we were being greedy so we needed more...or maybe it was just me and my husband just went along with it. Everything we ate had lots of flavor! The chicken platter comes with tamarind chicken, chicken lumpia and we subbed the fries for pancit. The chicken platter came with two sauces, the white sauce for the tamarind chicken and the red sauce for the lumpia. The red sauce was a homemade sweet chili and the white sauce was some sort of creamy sauce, both complimented the entree well. The pancit was very flavorful and amazing. The order took about 10 minutes to be cooked. Our plan was to take it home but when I placed the 2nd order for the additional chicken lumpia we sat and ate at a table. When the additional lumpia was finished cooking the server even opened the container for us and put it on the table so we could continue eating. Im assuming her name was Dianne since that is what was on the receipt. We finished our food a few minutes past closing time but no one rushed us or even made us feel like it was time to go. We knew the placed closed at 7pm, which is why we placed our order to go when we arrived at 6:40. This place will be on our list of places to eat moving forward. Thank you Dianne and crew for all that you do!

Hello Lumpia just opened today, and my husband and I had such a wonderful experience! We were greeted with a warm welcome from Dianne, which set the tone for a delicious meal. The store is small, spotless and cozy featuring three tables--perfect for a quick bite to eat. Lucky for us, it wasn't overly crowded at 5:30 with customers mainly picking up and one table filled. We ordered a few items for our first visit: The Pork, Chicken, and Vegetable Lumpia were on the smaller side, but packed with flavor. Great as an appetizer or order a double portion. The traditional Pancit Bihon was a standout; it was plentiful and perfectly seasoned just like my dear mom and dad's home cooking back home in Charleston. We also enjoyed the savory Pork and Chicken Adobo and the perfectly sweet, crispy Turon. The Turon is not anemic compared to others and the plantains were spot on! We left full but happy, even grabbing frozen Mango and Ube cheesecakes to try. L(*‿*)L. The graham cracker crust was excellent, though the filling leaned towards the sweeter side for our liking. Great for dessert lovers who prefer a very sweet treat! *:。゚ \ (・‿・) /゚*:。゚ Sending a warm THANK YOU to Dianne & staff who went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Mr. C. and I will definitely be back to try the Calamansi Fried Chicken and take home a double order of that crispy Turon! #JacksonvilleEats #FilipinoFood #SupportLocalJax #JaxFoodies #NewIn904 #AtlanticBlvdEats

I may have found my favorite fast food Filipino place. I got the chicken plate (sub pancit) The lumpia was crisp and delicious. The chicken was amazing (perfect light breading) and flavorful. And let's be honest who doesn't love pancit. They did have frozen prepared meals in a freezer I will absolutely be back for. They were also super friendly and helpful. It was a small space but clean and nice with a few tables available. I can't wait to try more things there.

The Hawaiian pasta salad was also a favorite of the night, it was very good and had the right amount of flavor. As of the moment, what I was truly hoping to try was outside of my price range. I ordered to go and purchased a Spam Masubi ($3.50 without tax). I will state that this appetizer may not be the best representative of this restaurant's cuisine. I would personally rate it 5.8/10 and would truly hope to try something different. I also believe the cost to meal gained ratio left me feeling this was a bit overpriced. Nevertheless, I want to return to try a different menu item as others have stated the food was enjoyable.

The cafe is more on the smaller side but it's cozy and the customer service is always happy and friendly! When you walk inside, there's a hot bar with all the food items available that day. You can check their Facebook page for their menu each day! You can get combos like an entree and a side, two entrees and a side, etc. On the shelves near the windows, there are local Filipino desserts like crinkles, puto (rice cake), flan, etc for sale. They also sell mac salad in the fridge and some dried fish on the shelves. What I love about this cafe is that they have a small snacks/drinks/candy market next to the dining area. The dining area is a good size and faces the parking lot. On this particular Saturday, we had the following entrees and sides: Lechon (roasted pig), Kaldereta (Filipino beef stew), and some rice! The lechon pieces were big and the skin (my fav!) was crispy, salty, and golden! The meat was also juicy and not dry. What I like to do is dip the meat into some white vinegar to give it some acidity since the lechon is on the heavy side after a few bites. The Kaldereta was hearty, rich, flavorful and it reminded me of an elevated beef stew. The potatoes and carrots literally melted in my mouth! I gave my combo plate a 8.5/10! My husband had Humba (braised pork belly that is slow cooked in soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, bay leaves, fermented black beans, and sugar) and he thoroughly enjoyed it. He shared some pieces of it with me and it was smooth as butter. It was sweet and salty and his rice soaked up all the sauces. Definitely a must try! I would give it a 9/10 because the flavors were so rich and it made me want even more! The prices are reasonable for how much food you're getting! They also sell desserts like halo halo (shaved iced with fresh fruits, taro ice cream, toppings like flan, condensed milk, jellies, beans, etc.) I've personally had the halo halo and it's one of my favorites! Super refreshing on a hot summer day. They also sell mango and taro flavored cakes but you have to call in advance for whole cakes. Their cakes are light, delicious, and fluffy! I especially enjoy the mango cake because you get chunks of fresh, champagne mangoes on and inside the cake. We've been coming here for years and don't plan on stopping. My husband is a bit of a Filipino food snob at times, but Lola's definitely has a special place in his heart! They do military discounts too, FYI!

The food was very good overall, but my favorite dish is the tofu sisig. It's bold and savory, I could not stop eating! I tried it for the first time here and haven't found another version I like as much anywhere else. The larger parties were served buffet style, otherwise we had the dishes family style.
