We were greeted by the owner who gave us a history of the restaurant and a full explanation of the menu items. We tried a variety of items, and all of it was delicious. I really enjoyed the mulitas because it was something new to me. My favorite meat was the al pastor, but the steak and carnitas were great too. Some things to note about the restaurant: The parking situation is a little haphazard; you kind of have to guess where to park. There is a small step to get onto the sidewalk that leads to the entrance, so that is something to be aware of. There is also some outdoor seating as an option.

My partner ordered chicken mole enchiladas and just like the diabla salsa, the mole was complex and balanced-- a good sign that extra time and effort went into them! There were other areas where Mexican restaurants sometimes cut corners, such as not using fresh lime in a margarita, but this place put in the effort to do it right! I hope this place continues to expand, because the unique branded and carved furniture must have cost a fortune, but it was a lovely way to distinguish this restaurant without looking kitschy and filling a building with junk.
