Food is always good! Service is great, just sometimes takes a bit to get the food! But other than that amazing place!

Wow! I usually try to eat at diners because they typically have country, homemade food and friendly servers. But unfortunately not in this case. The food was ok, but rather skimpy catfish. The server seemed to be friendly towards the locals, but was apathetic and barely civil, towards a stranger. That's not the small town hospitality I was expecting. Plus it was over priced. read more

A really cute touristy type small town restaurant!Excellent food, big portions... I ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and okra and white Country gravy; it was cooked perfect you'll have lots of juice wasn't dried out over cooked or greasy tasting , and it was big enough for two people ! Having had slow service on a few visits we chose to try Cowpoke's for breakfast on a Sunday morning. We arrive when restaurant was 1/2 full. Our order was taken fairly prompt. As other tables filled and orders taken, we were given the excuse of "the THING is broken" and your food should be right out. ALL other customers who arrived before and after us had eaten and left the restaurant. With hungry children and hangry adults we got up and left. Unfortunately Prague does not have many options to dine in and this one is definitely one we won't return to! read more

This used to be our favorite place to eat in town. But lately it has gone downhill. We went in a few nights ago, sat at our table for 10 minutes and never got waited on or even acknowledged, so we left. Last night we went back, my husband order baked beans with his dinner, they brought green beans. I order a half order od fried jalapeños and a half order of fried onions. Price for full order is $6.99 each Anyway, my husband found a large animal hair in his green beans, and the manager tried to tell me it was a green bean string. It was a very think animal hair. I know the difference, all she said was she would bring him another bowl of green beans, which wasn't what he ordered in the first place. Then we go to pay. I look at the receipt, and they charged 12.99 for the 2 half orders, and I was told that is just how it is. Worst service in town. read more

Deep in the heart of Oklahoma you'll run into a small town called Prague. Super small. They have one stoplight. But they have this cozy little gem tucked away on main street. It is everything you love about small town middle America. First of all, the food is phenomenal. I had the chicken fried chicken and it was amazing. The green beans, which are typically a throwaway side dish, took me right back to grandma's kitchen, where every bite of food was fussed over and prepared with mastery. The mashed potatoes were perhaps the creamiest I have ever eaten. My wife ordered a cheeseburger and declared, "you can tell that this was never a frozen hockey puck. Someone back there loved this burger while they cooked it." Get the fried Okra as well! The server was not just friendly, but genuinely nice. My only regret is that there was so much food, I couldn't get to a dessert! The experience was perfect - down to the fantastic conversation with the locals. The pricing was very low (I still feel guilty - like I robbed them). You owe it to yourself to get here. This kind of an experience is sadly fading away. It's a small little restaurant with quaint western decorations inside. The service was quick and friendly. I had a sliced brisket sandwich and fries, and a slice of pecan pie. The portions were on the small side. Not much meat on the bread, a small pile of fries and a very small piece of pie that had hard crust. I won't be eating there again unless someone else is paying. read more
